Hotbox cookies has been my go to for years! Their cookies are fresh, moist and the employees are generally friendly. after Covid, I noticed a change in the size of their cookies. They are a lot thinner, and the price increased, additionally the cookies are beginning to taste different; as if the different bakers are not following the recipe. maybe this is a location problem. I typically go to the one in Clayton. I think I will try the Hotbox cookies in CWE.

Wish I could give negative stars. One star seems way too generous. The lone staff member working on a Sunday night (12/17/23) was rude and extremely unhelpful. Placed online order order at 9:52pm and received email confirmation stating that my order had been received and should arrive by 10:50pm. After receiving no updates regarding delivery status, I called the store 5 minutes before closing to see what was going on. They acknowledged receiving my order but told me the driver had already gone home for the night and that I wouldn’t be receiving the order. I asked why nobody bothered to notify me and there was no explanation, no apology, and no offer to make things right. Absolutely abhorrent customer service. If I ran my business like they run theirs, I’d be out of business. Buyer beware.

The worst customer service ever!!! We Ordered delivery and the Order was confirmed. We waited over an hour and finally called to see what was going on, at which point they told us they don’t have any drivers and no plans to fill the order. We could pick it up they said but need to be here in 2 minutes. What?! Oh, and we have to call back tomorrow to request a refund. No apologies. Acted like it was our fault. A huge waste of time and very rude personnel. How about Don’t accept the order if you aren’t going to fill it. Or better yet, call your customers and tell them if you’ve accepted their order but can’t fill it. Customer service is rocket science these days and it’s sad.

The two women staff workers on the Saturday evening shift were very helpful, knowledgeable and had great vibes! My son and I enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back!❤️

This was my second visit. This time I ordered a cookie cake for my brother's birthday. It was a "special" birthday, so I wanted to upgrade from the usual grocery store cookie cake. I called at 2:30 to order and indicated I would pick it up at 6:30. It had not even been started on when I arrived right at 6:30. I had to wait for it to bake and cool which made me late for 7:00 dinner reservation. It did not say what I requested to be written on it and I could barely see the writing in chocolate icing because it's the same color as the cookie! The pics on the website misled me to think the icing would be a darker brown. It looked a hot mess! And I watched as two other customers got free cookies (one for a burnt cookie cake and another for a down card machine), while I prepaid for a mess of a cookie and a 35 minute late. A good $25 more than a grocery store cookie!As far as how it tasted...my brother did not want to share but I managed to cut the tiniest piece (about a sq. inch) and it was delicious. So there's that. I considered getting one for my own bday but don't want to risk the hassle again.Parking: Easiest to walk or get it delivered if buying from Clayton location. Parking during day and evening is scarce.

My daughter love their products and I was wanting to surprise her with a bday cookie cake. I have seen their products and I was surprise at what I picked up. I’m hoping they would do more training for their staff and I’m sure he was overwhelmed. We got a burnt cookie cake and a sloppy decor.

I’m a fan of this place and it’s close to my relatives place when I go to visit. It’s really popular at Mizzou and this location in Stl/Clayton is great but negative is there doing construction next door and hard to see that this place is open. No signage anywhere but front.

Delicious hot fresh cookies in the heart of Clayton. They have ice cream also but they were out ice cream the evening I visited. EDIT: I received a message from Hot Box cookies saying they were sorry for not having ice cream on the night I visited. I went back a few days later and asked for a shake and she said they were out of the cups to make a shake. What the heck?

Bro I ordered CHOCOLATE ice cream and she straight up gave me icing… whole place smelled like weed. Taking the hotbox name a little too literally. Some lady was running around in a Cookie Monster costume. I should’ve went to insomnia

Recently, we had an employee appreciation event. We wanted to deliver fresh, hot cookies to each of our 14 offices. We worked with Jake at Hot Box, and he coordinated the whole process. He made it so easy for us. Our employees were so happy and surprised. We will definitely work with Hot Box Cookies again for our next event.
