Tried this place with friends once because they wanted to try it and it was a waste of time and money. I grew up in a successful restaurant business and I can tell you there is no cooking skill here and lack of flavors from a variety of items we ordered. Just saving you all time and money so spend it elsewhere. This includes the Aviary they bought out which has also gone downhill in flavors and service, and they opened Amici which just closed too. Hope this helps when you decide where to eat next time.

We booked a late evening dinner and were seated on a string light lit deck overlooking a beautifully landscaped hill and lavendar fields. We watched the lightening bugs as the day turned into darkness. We listened to live music and enjoyed the little shop of lavendar goods. The atmosphere couldn't have been more perfect, even for a warmer night. I had a lavendar martini that was absolutely fabulous. Not too sweet, and simply incredible. The goat cheese with lavendar honey was the best appetizer I've ever tasted. The steak was cooked perfectly, and the risotto had fabulous flavor. The desserts, though... they had true lavendar bits in them and were unmatched to any restaurant I've eaten at. The owner's stopped by our table and were accommodating and personable. The wait staff was just as great. It was an unforgettable night and I highly recommend this experience!

The food was delicious!! Our server was great. They sent us a reminder text, along with info regarding the weather and terrain, so we dressed casually (no heels lol). We can't wait to go back next year!,

Amazing service as always. The drinks were STRONG, yet tasted so subtle. Barely noticed alcohol till I got deeper in it. Loved the sides this year and the bruschetta was to die for. Live music is always a plus. The owners definitely take pride in what they do.

We have heard from so many people that this place is amazing, and had high expectations. They exceeded expectations and we had a great time. The service and wait staff was top notch and super kind. I was nervous we would be too hot for our 6:30 reservation tonight because the high today was a muggy 100 degrees, but it’s shaded and we felt pleasant the entire time. I wish we didn’t have to make reservations so far in advance (February for a June spot), but it was kind of a fun and special treat to look forward to. I recommend this place enthusiastically!Vegetarian options: The mushroom steak is awesome.Dietary restrictions: My husband is allergic to garlic and the accommodated him like champs.

Much more hype than experience unfortunately. Booking up months ahead of time seemed like demand was high for a reason, but actual visit was disappointing. Atmosphere was just okay. Waitress uncertain of menu. Appetizer great while entrees not so much. Pretty overpriced for quality and such a far drive, at least for us.

What a wonderful experience for my wife’s birthday! Our family has planned this for months thanks to an advertising clip viewed on Branson TV.We arrived at our scheduled reservation, immediately seated and met Michael, our waiter. We received drinks and appetizers and let me tell you our party of six raved over the appetizers of Be The Bruschetta and Get Your Goat On. The bruschetta was the best all of us ever have had. The flavors of the diced tomatoes and basil were outstanding. All of us could have eaten another board of this appetizer it was that good. The other appetizer was a perfect combination of fruit, cheese, and glaze/drizzle amounting to a very smooth, sweet, enjoyable taste. Our entree’s were just as enjoyable and cooked to perfection. My medallions, pasta, and potatoes were fantastic and blended to a wonderful presentation. Our other dishes in the party were just as perfect and enjoyable including the ribeye, chicken and steak without the meat.Yes, we had desert and again could only give praise for taste, texture, and presentation. The entertainment was terrific. Michael and Melissa had a wonderful repertoire of modern and classic music. They particularly shined on the John Prine classic, “Hello In There.”We have already planned next year’s trip once reservations open in February 2024.Please consider visiting this restaurant for an experience not to be forgotten. And, yes, they trimmed the tree branches away from the upper lot. Don’t be dissuaded. Photos coming soon.

My mom and I have been coming to Lavender Falls once a year for the past 3 years. Our first experience was OUTSTANDING. Amazing food, drinks, service, atmosphere… Absolutely amazing. Last year the food was more average, less flavorful and service not as great… We thought it was an off night. Then this year, we went about two weeks ago, it was down right bad. We had a young girl as our server that had no clue what she was doing (I get it, I’ve waited tables and we all have to start somewhere, she needs training and Lavender Falls isn’t cheap so this isn’t the place). It took her over 30 minutes to bring us waters or acknowledge us, then when she did acknowledge us she took our order, took another 15+ minutes to come back, brought my bar drink and still didn’t bring waters. My margarita was so stout I couldn’t drink it (and I like it a little stout tasting). When she finally came back with our waters, the food followed right behind— all of it coming at once. Salad, steak, etc. My side of risotto was missing, she had to go find it. Excited to finally dig in, we were very upset to find my mom’s steak was undercooked and cold, mine was cooked correctly but Luke warm, and both of our risottos were rubbery and cold. While we were both hungry, we didn’t finish our meals. I hate to leave this review and I am very sad about the experience we had, but it is too expensive for this type of experience. It was a magical experience in the past that we waited for all year long to get to go again. I think several of the issues were service (drinks, food being cold, not checking back on us so we could send the steak back, etc) but also quality was just not there.

Food is excellent. Had the ribeye and it was delicious. I ordered my steak medium well and it was not cooked long enough for my taste but it was still delicious. The service was excellent, very friendly. Great atmosphere. Could not hear the live music very well. The place fills up fast so need to get reservations several months prior.

I'm going to give this a four, with the caveat that I'd give it a five for atmosphere and service, and a 3/3.5 for food. We were really excited to try this. I used to live in Springfield, and I couldn't make up my mind which "old haunt" I wanted to visit for dinner, so went somewhere new! It had been recommended to me months earlier, so I made reservations on the day they were open. I loved the feel of the place, and our server was incredible. She was super polite, friendly, not overbearing...really did a great job! It was a beautiful evening, and we loved sitting outside. The food was just okay for me, though. I loved our app (the tuna tartare or whatever it was called), but the main dishes we had were not super standout in my mind. I had grilled chicken, and tasted like something we would normally have at a summer bbq...good, but not great. My husband had the salmon, and it was about the same. Sides were decent (mushroom risotto and I can't remember what else). Dessert (panna cotta) was pretty good. So, overall, okay on the food, but not quite what I had expected.

I’m very sad to leave this review. Last year I would have left a 5 star review and raved like crazy. This year, I went at the beginning of the season and the steak was nothing but gristle. My husband and I both ordered steak and probably got 1/2 a steak that was actually edible. We mentioned it to 3 different people and nothing was done to offer a better experience. I didn’t leave a review because I was hoping it was a one time thing. But I went again last night and I had the same experience. When I mentioned the steak again they offered 15% off the steak and that’s it. I’m very sad about this. Last year it was the best steak I’d ever had at a restaurant. This year it was the worst. Not to mention the sides last year were incredible— this year, eh. The salads are good though…
