“We recently used Vansant for services for my husband. He wished to be cremated. Arrangements were made in advance with guidance from hospice. His wishes were to pass comfortably at home. He did and when we were ready we call vansant (Curtis and Shelly) came out offered their condolences and explained the next steps. I went outside and sat on our front porch with family. I stated to my family that I was going to go around back because I didn't want to see him leave our home in black body bag. I have seen 6 in my life but when it's your husband I think it hits differently. I walked around the house And then decided to go in and use the restroom while I was in our bathroom. I could hear them talking in the living room and I peeked out and noticed there was no black bag but on the gurney was a beautifully folded quilt... To make a long story in a lot of cases, they do not use a black bag. They use a beautifully handmade quilt to cover your loved one and it was very respectful and very nice. They did a beautiful job. I can't thank them enough for their kindness and their thoughtfulness during this extremely hard process. They are highly recommended”
