“After being taken advantage of by a big well known bank when I was in my early twenties and new to being an adult, I became very weary of banks. For years I only used prepaid debit cards, afraid that I would get taken advantage of again. A few years ago, I finally decided it was time I needed a real bank account. I could not be happier with United Credit Union in Columbia. I have struggled with my credit for years, it's still a work in progress, but the people at United have been super willing to work with me and help get me back on track. It was such a good feeling to go into a bank and tell them I needed a loan and they just gave it to me. Now, a couple years later and my car was totaled a few weeks ago, and I was able to walk in and get a loan for a car, even though my credit still isn't quite where it should be, they still worked with me to find the best deal. They helped me find a car that worked within my budget and even included the sales tax so I could get tags right away. Stacy has always been the best person to help someone out. She is friendly and always willing to go the extra mile for her customers. Because of her, I will continue to enjoy doing business with United Credit Union.”

“LaLanda was very attentive. Everyone else was away. When I walk in she greeted me, inquired what services I needed ...seeing no one else was available she addressed my needs and the next two people that entered bank 1 getting paperwork for wire transfer and the other requesting notary service for an absentee ballot. In the absence of other staff, she ensured that the customer service was provided to those entering the bank. That also included the brink personnel working on the ATM machine. It appears she performed these services near or after her tour of duty .I presume since she was packing up shortly after serving us. Thank you LaLanda”

He was professional, kind, gave honest feedback and is a straight shooter. He followed up with me after hours on the day I applied just to let me know he received my information and would call me the following morning which he did. I too am a straight shooter and the few reviews I have written are one to two starts so it's important to give positive feedback when it is well deserved. She is the epitome of what customer service is all about and this is the EXACT reason I came back to the credit union instead of the bank. A charming small park on the grounds of Shelter Insurance Company (head toward the northwest corner of the parking lot). Beautifully landscaped with flowering trees and shrubs, this park is maintained by the company and is open to the public. During the Christmas Season, Don’t Miss the large, well-lit display in front of the company offices (facing Broadway)!”
