The attendant was very helpful and friendly. I had car issues on my way back to Kansas City where I rented the Nissan Rogue. It was close to closing time and he listened to the issues, checked the fix and even gave me advice on what happened that caused my issue. Would use this Hertz in Columbia, Missouri for car rental.

Absolutely terrible service. We could not get a support agent with a good connection on multiple tries. If you are going to use over seas support make sure they have good connectivity!! We also got added insurance that we did not agree to. The instore staff we not able to work with us because we had to work with billing. This is my 1st and last time working with Hertz. I have never in the 10 plus years working with enterprise had so many issues correcting or getting help. Absolutely horrible!!!

Never call this company or this location if you have an emergency situation with your itinerary. They never answer the damn phone. You're on your own. I bet they'll happily collect your money though.

We had a flight out of Kansas City in Sept 2023 requiring a one-way rental from Columbia, Mo. When we were 1 mile down I-70, the vehicle broke down and stranded us on the highway. Herschel, despite being sold out of cars, found us a vehicle and was quickly to us in less than 15 minutes with a replacement vehicle. This was incredible service, and he did it with ease (even though I'm confident it wasn't easy). This enabled us to make not only the KC flight, but the International connection at ORD. Without, we would have missed a day. Thank you Herschel and team for continued years of great service; we will continue to send all of our rentals your way and sing your praises!

Came in today at 8AM because my current rental was having mechanical issues from Chicago. I’m going on a Route 66 tour and Mr. Herschel took excellent care of me and got me back up and running in no time! He was very friendly , courteous, and professional. I highly recommend you work with him specifically. Thank you so much Herschel! You are the man!

Horrible horrible. Rented a car online with a virtual card. Then in person they were not able to take it. Yet online it worked?I guess I understand needing a physical card but then when I tried to give them the physical card to pay the rest of the deposit they would not take it. Then the well fed man at the front desk had no ways of helping. He just stared at me with his mouth open. Referring me to call customer service. There was nothing he could do. All in all I think what is happening is that their system online is catching up to modern times while the big boy at the front desk is still behind on times. It happens everywhere but that means their system is broken and they should either switch to all AI or robots or they should just go back to purely traditional ways. I guess in the end the only people it screws over is the customer so what do they care.

Best place to rent cars for sure! Always have an easy time checking in and out and the cars are always nice. Staff is also really nice anytime we’ve ever had questions they’re happy to help!

We were notified 20 minutes before pick-up time that they did not have cars available. We had made the reservation 1 month prior. No solution was offered.

The day picking up my rental I called ahead to make sure all ducks were in a row, didn't have a rental for the class I booked, economy but he guaranteed that I'll have a rental when I arrived. Hertz offered to pick you up from the shop but 20 mins before dropping off the car at the auto shop they have no way to pick me up so I had to hurry and find a way to the rental in the middle of the day. When arriving the heat was on when it was 80 degrees outside. I was handed keys no walk around the car to make sure no dings and scratches were accounted for.

We booked a reservation and the car was not there. We now don’t have a car for our trip and the customer service was no help. It made me book a reservation through my credit card and the refund won’t be back until 7-10 business days so now I will probably be getting charged interest. Don’t book a car through hertz.

Worst experience ever rude staff. I've rented plenty of cars with my credit card but all the sudden they wanted to say they don't take it.
