I have had great experiences with Joe Machens CDJR. Sales man Zack Hardin is a good person and will be honest and up front. His energy, his attitude and spunk is wonderful. I have bought 5 cars with him.

The service department sucks. I'm sure the policies & procedures come from the top, with the end result being an extremely lackadaisical, invalidating, poor customer experience that really just obliterates any kind if trust you may have had about not being taken advantage of by a dealership. Didn't do the work that was asked, charged suprise charged me for the loaner on the BACK end, charged me for a sensor replacement that was, in retrospect, not the problem as after picking it up I still had the same problem/warning light. Both times was told they were "two weeks out" and made me wait to have it even looked at. Now, reading reviews it is CLEAR as day, they pick and choose how they treat people. I guess if you are a minority or an ugly woman go somewhere else.

I was told $400 and something to fix my car by Dil so I gave them approval to move forward. When picking it up the price had almost tripled. The manager Jas told well pay it or I can rip the parts out in 45 minutes. I asked how long did it take you to put the parts in, he said an hour an a half. I showed him that the blower cost $189 on the Mopar web site. Jas said the best he could do is take off $200 from labor leaving $800 something to pay or take the parts off it. He was rude and very unprofessional and I won’t be back period. You guys are way over priced and the work is less than average. My car still isn’t working right after Joe Machens having it a week and almost $900 later. I’ll find someone more professional and takes pride in their work that actually are worth the cost.

My experience with this location on Vandiver was exceptional, except for one interaction with a staff member of finance.I was referred to Cameron Holman by my mother who bought a Jeep the week before I made my purchase. We set up an appointment to meet however, he was busy when I arrived so Aaron Veal helped me. Aaron was incredible! I gave him a list of what I was looking for and he responded quickly with several vehicles for me to test drive. We started off more basic and I liked the cars, but wanted to see more. He finally brought out the Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland and I was SOLD almost instantly! I appreciated the fact that Aaron was able to truly sell me the car because he was educated on it and knew what to show me, how to explain certain parts of it, and answered all questions I had- even silly ones! He had education with each of the SUVs I drove which made making the decision easier. He was outstanding at communicating and following up, which is key for me. Cameron also checked in on me throughout the process to ensure I was feeling comfortable with Aaron and finding what I was looking for, which was cool. The finance part is where it became a little messy. I spoke with two people regarding finance- Sam initially, and Chris Lamont. I was not pleased with the communication between Chris and I. My file as far as finance was more complicated than most, because of a settlement being a part of the income I’d use when purchasing/paying for it. When first talking to me, he told me a bank denied me and his tone of voice made me feel he was inpatient, and almost laughing at me for applying for this car with the income I make monthly. He sounded rushed, rude, and said he would give me a call back which I didn’t receive. He stated he called but didn’t leave a voicemail, which I would have appreciated receiving, because then at least I would have known he tried. He shared with the team that we spoke Monday when I planned to pick up the car, as if the plan was finalized; when in reality, that was only 2 calls the week prior- neither of which he returned professionally, so there was no final call of him answering any questions I had. I’ve spoken with him since and he’s apologized and reassured me that he did not intend to sound or come off that way. I respect the apology and asked him to please be more mindful with future customers. The final finance portion of the car when signing off was handled through Sam and wow, what a difference. Sam was apologetic and offered to answer any questions I had. We slowly walked through the steps, made a decision on rates, and signed off on the papers. His conversation was enjoyable and the fact he cared enough about the negative experience I had, to allow me to share it with Taylor Zakrewski, made an impact on my review. Taylor listened and validated my concerns then gave me a card for future contact, if needed. Overall, I loved my experience with Joe Machens Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep at Vandiver location. I recommend checking them out! I’m beyond grateful for finding the perfect car with Aaron’s help.Side note- People have bad days and maybe I caught Chris on one so I hope for future buyers, they have better luck if speaking with him ?

I had an excellent experience with Christian when I bought my new Jeep Grand Cherokee L. He helped me find the right jeep and all the I wanted inside my jeep. If you need a great car salesman go to him he won’t let you down. Thanks again Joe Machens for being the best car dealership around I won’t go anywhere else.

Very difficult to contact. We have had difficulty with the last 3 service appointments for our Jeep. Twice we left messages for a call back to schedule appointments….no call backs. Took us multiple calls to them to get scheduled. The most recent appointment, we were on hold 25 minutes trying to find out if the vehicle was ready for pick up. When we finally were connected to a person, he seemed put out that we were calling close to closing time. Having purchased our Jeep there, we are really disappointed that keeping it serviced is such a hassle. We understand issues happen, but after 3 issues with 3 appointments we will be going elsewhere.

We were in a bind, trailer hitch lights weren’t programmed and we were about to travel cross country with a fully-packed trailer. Even though the service center was fully booked, they squeezed us in right away, took care of the issue and we were able to make the drive safely. Thank you!!!

I drove more than 2 hours after speaking with a sales rep and we agreed upon the price of the truck for sale and the price of my trade. I spent 4 hours at the dealership catching errors. First the price of the truck for sale was listed $2k more on paperwork. Then a discount we’d discussed wasn’t listed. Then I’m finally sent to the finance manager where I’m told taxes were calculated incorrectly and I was overcharged by $1300. I’ve spent the last 3 days calling my local county treasurer to confirm this error, calling and texting the sales rep, and learning that not only are the taxes wrong, so is the transfer vs new registration. Can’t say I’m a fan of the “finance manager” whatsoever. These last 3 days have been me requesting the paperwork and note be corrected as the dealership continued to offer a check for the overage. No, thank you.Now a driver will come to me to resign corrected paperwork. It would have been nice to receive an apology from the finance manager but between him and the sales rep, they put these problems on the woman who has been helping me. Glad she works there!!Haven’t even been able to enjoy the new truck because of all the extra work I had to put in to get this mess sorted out. Nice truck. But not a fan of the mess I’ve had to go through to get it. Good luck!

Brought my car in to find out why it stalled with no warning and was told I'd have to replace my entire engine for roughly $12,000. First off, that's what I paid for it when I bought it 5 years ago. Second, it ended up being a $21 sensor that I did myself. I'm also so glad you let me know my brakes and rotors needed to be replaced (rotors are fine), but ignored that I needed 2 new tires and an alignment. I admit that I'm bad about checking my tire tread, but you mean to tell me that you didn't see how badly they were worn on the inside? They were bald and I didn't see it until it was put on a trailer to get a second opinion at another shop.Thankfully, you threw out a ridiculous price or I would've believed you. Do better.
