If I even look at your vehicle, it's too difficult for them they just tell you to replace everything and especially motors and engines they sell them for a company so their first attempted to try and get you to buy a new one.

I was on the way to KC from St. Louis when a log on the highway cracked my radiator. A man at the gas station recommended me to Midwest Autoworx and I am very glad he did. They fit me in right away because they knew I had no where to go until the issue was fixed and set right to work. The price seemed quite reasonable, and they told us about another issue that our car was having that would need to be fixed when we got to back St. Louis, and showed us pictures of the damage. I recommend their service.

10/10 recommend! I was buying a car at a local used dealer and called Midwest Autoworx to have them do their “Pre purchase 50 point inspection” on my test drive. Kyle was great and said they would “go over it with a fine toothed comb” and told me everything I needed to know and printed it out. They were very polite and seemed happy to have my business. Their solid communication skills make them feel *very* trustworthy. Thanks Midwest autoworx!

Midwest Autoworx is great! Driving through town one day, it happened that a truck I'd just bought used broke down at a local fast food drive-thru. Midwest Autoworx is who the tow company recommended, so there we went! I slept in the truck overnight, hoping Midwest would take the truck in for service as soon as they opened, and they did! The truck was fixed responsibly, at reasonable cost, and I was on the road by noon.Particularly impressive was the "Testing Results" section of the receipt I later read, where the diagnostic steps Midwest Autoworx took to determine the problem was detailed. With some shops you might wonder how they determined a particular do-hickey was the culprit, but not here. Midwest Autoworx took the necessary time to not only repair the problem, but to also tell you how they knew which do-hickey needed replacement. I wish I lived closer to Midwest Autoworx, because I'd certainly use them again if needed. Thank you, Midwest Autoworx!

I've had off and on problems with my traction control for at least over a year. The dealer could never resolve the problem. Midwest attributed it to the aftermarket suspension which the dealer never addressed. Problem solved and the Jeep drives better than it has in YEARS. This place has been absolutely horrible to work with. We went in with the check engine light. They ran diagnostics and suggested a part that they believed would fix it. It did not; the check engine light came back on. I called up there talk to JJ who repeatedly said what do you want me to do about it to me and my husband and eventually ended up hanging up on me before letting me talk with a manager. I called back up there and talked with Ian on the phone who explained everything pretty well however, when the E light came back on and we were instructed to bring the car back for a third time, he stated that they knew exactly what was wrong, and then it would be another amount of money to fix it. My question is why was that not fixed in the first place if you already knew what the problem was, and why am I paying you more money because you fixed the wrong part? I understand that there’s some trial and error but when you run a diagnostics on my car and you stated to me that you know what the problem was, you should’ve fix what the problem was but instead you happily took $700 from us and then tried to obtain more. This was unprofessional and you waisted our time and money over something that was so minimal in the end.

A coworker of mine (I usually work on her car but I'm getting married soon and she didn't want to bother me) took her car in to get a check engine light diagnosed. The engine light was on for an evap leak. They recommended replacing a $60 gas cap so she did. Check engine light came back on, they then said the charcoal canister needs to be replaced which requires the gas tank needing to be removed. She approved the $700 repair. After driving the car for a couple days the check engine light came back on. They are now saying the purge valve needs to be replaced (which is around a $100 repair that she also HAS TO PAY FOR.) Do not use this shop. They will charge you an outrageous amount of money to not fix a vehicle the first time. On top of all this she has a new born baby and has been without a car for several days while they TRY to fix it. I called and spoke with Ian who is the manager and asked why they didn't check the purge valve first before replacing the charcoal canister. Because in my experience a purge valve is more common of a problem than a charcoal canister and a whole lot cheaper to replace if were just going to throw parts at the vehicle in hopes of it fixing the problem. Long story shot Ian proceeded to get very rude with me and ultimately hung up on me. This place is very unprofessional and I will make sure to let everyone I know to not have any repairs done at this shop. If you want a good honest shop that wont break the bank, use Automotive Specialist on Old 63 across from Westlake Ace Hardware.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Really a great place to take your vehicles for any type of service. We drive a couple of early- to mid-2000s vehicles, and Midwest Autoworx has been our go-to shop for repairs and maintenance.I know a little about cars and trucks, and not once have I felt I've been taken advantage of here. The service advisors are always straight shooters and don't oversell anything. I've talked to a few mechanics here and have been impressed by their knowledge and expertise. One of the great things about this place is that they honor their warranty work. My older Camry needed motor mounts, and we tried aftermarket parts. As it turned out, because of a design by Toyota, OEM parts were needed for these motor mounts. Midwest Autoworx installed the OEM parts at no extra charge and it worked out great. However, I don't think you'll need to utilize the warranty because they do a great job from the start.Overall, I'd say this is one of the top mechanic shops in central Missouri.Services: Steering & suspension repair

Stranded at 2:30am our radiator hose blew up in the middle of a road trip with our dog. We were able to get towed to Midwest Autoworx and the customer service was outstanding. They picked us up from our hotel, let us it with our dog in their lobby and got our car fixed hours ahead of the estimate. They also didn’t try to upsell us or try to get us to do unnecessary repairs. They priced us fairly and went above and beyond. Kyle was nothing but kind and did everything he could to get us on the road and get our parts as soon as possible. I will never love breaking down in an unfamiliar place but these guys were just awesome! Will be hero’s in our book forever!!!Service: Engine repair

My son's vehicle was in need of figuring out what the heck was wrong with it. The Hyundai dealer in Chicago couldn't figure it out. So down at Mizzou we were encouraged to check out. Midwest Autoworx. Boy am I glad we did. They figured it out fixed it quickly and it runs like a charm now. Thank you Midwest Autoworx
