When I was denied a loan (not surprising), instead of calling me that day to advise me, I stressed through a 3 day weekend. I called the morning they reopened and never received a callback. I finally received a rejection letter 5 days after applying. I would have liked to talk to someone regarding things I could do to improve my chances, such as a co-signer, more money down, etc. However, I was not given that opportunity. This is not the way to do business.

Bad information from loan officer made a deal fall apart on a truck purchase. Was told we could get everything done over the phone and emails then when it was finally submitted found out the financial officer gave me bad info. First and last time trying to use missouri credit union for a loan.

The first tier staff are friendly and provide excellent customer service for straight forward requests.Loan officers are incredibly difficult to work with remotely. I needed to do a wire transfer and the instructions were not on the website. When I called the rep they provided vague instructions and emailed me a form to print off then fax to them. Who has access to a fax machine in 2022?It didn't particularly matter because it was the wrong form. I ended up filling out three different forms after working with four different reps. Trying to get one to reply to me via email was slow and phone calls often ended up on hold then cut off or voicemails. After 21 days of emails and international phone calls, they refused to initiate the transfer unless I came to a branch location in person.It is crazy that I had to purchase a plane ticket, fly across an ocean, and drive to Columbia to show a driver license they had on file to a loan officer who barely looked at it. This could have been done in a 15 minutes zoom call. Not leaving this bank sooner cost me $3000 in travel to do a $50 wire transfer.

I have read the reviews and understand the customer frustrations. That being said, if you are in need of a loan, please reach out to Travis at the Buttonwood location. He was professional, kind, gave honest feedback and is a straight shooter. He followed up with me after hours on the day I applied just to let me know he received my information and would call me the following morning which he did. I too am a straight shooter and the few reviews I have written are one to two starts so it's important to give positive feedback when it is well deserved. Thank you Travis, I will definitely refer your branch to anyone I know who is thinking of getting a loan.

Will only accept Equifax for credit scores rather than Experian, we had to pay to unlock it and they still somehow weren't able to access it. We had to pay out of pocket and still couldn't get any service because of issues on their end and their inflexibility, and it was nearly impossible to get communication from them.

We have had accounts with Missouri Credit Union since 2005. They've been adequate, though we've had to turn to other banks for loans because of the difficulty of MO CU. The customer service is exclusively remote and has been for some time, which makes all but the most basic banking impossible. Today I was working on my mortgage application with a more reliable institution we use for credit needs. Our Missouri Credit Union account is the only account we own across multiple brokerages and institutions that would not link. I called MO CR and spoke with a person named Sierra/Ciara who VERY rudely told me that they do NOT work with outside institutions. A call to our more reliable lender verified that this is true and well known. Do not bank with MO Credit Union if you need anything more than a simple checking account. They offer high interest rates on loans, turn down simple loans for even people with good credit, and when you go through an outside lender, they WILL REFUSE to verify your holdings. Do not let the "Credit Union" label make you believe this is a reputable institution.

Very annoying to make a Cash deposit at network ATM and have a 5 day hold. It is a CASH DEPOSIT. You have my MONEY. Stop charging fees!

I am a new customer. I tried to cash a check but it has to sit in the account for 9 days without being touched. I was late paying a bill as a result which was, "shoulder shrug" their "policy." This does not give me a good impression of them right out the gate.

Missouri credit union has always been there for me. I got my first car loan from them when I was 18. The interest rates are always lower than traditional banks. Would definitely suggest if you’re looking for a new bank to try a credit union specifically Missouri credit Union.

Customer service is awful. The staff seems to be rather passive aggressive and not focused on offering the best service or even run of the mill service for their customers. The loan rates are great which is why they get two stars, but outside of that not the best or easiest place to do business with. Wanted to set up an online payment for a loan I got through them. The process was seriously way more time and labor intensive than getting the loan? Asked a reasonable question like "Why do you need a letter head from my bank, when you've already established my financial information pertaining to my income and who I bank with before I was granted the loan"? Needless stuff like writing my address on receipt when I've mentioned I'm in a hurry, last I check that's not needed. Rates are great, everything else not so much. It's a shame because they could be treating people better and making life easier while they up their customer base, but their service is just a really tough one to deal with.
