About Rock Bridge Memorial State Park
Rock Bridge Memorial State Park is a popular and interesting destination with nice hikes, caves, and historical features. Visitors can explore the caves, including Connor’s Cave, which goes back about 100 feet, and see the crumbling foundation of a former whisky distillery, with some parts dating back to when it burned down regularly. The park offers easy trails suitable for most people, making it family-friendly. One of the highlights is the boardwalk, which is good for building strength, and the Devil’s Ice Box, although the entrance to the latter is closed except for special tours. Visitors can also learn about the park's history, including wagon trails and past businesses. There is a small store selling ice and drinks, and helpful staff assist visitors in navigating the park. While some areas may appear worn or not perfectly maintained, the park remains a great spot for outdoor activities, sightseeing, and appreciating nature and history.
