I don't usually leave bad reviews but this place! Wow! Besides being a little overpriced, when I first started going this year they ask if you have eye protection...if not, they offer you to buy some. Ok, I know some placed insist on you having eye protection, I can live with that. BUT THEN they started the same scam with lotion....you must have your lotion with you or you can't tan, then of course they want you to buy their lotion. Then I went in to cancel my membership in person. A week later another payment hits me account. I call up there to tell them what happened the girl acts like she can't do anything about it and that I'd have to contact customer service. She of course didn't have the number. So I went on their website but trying to contact anyone is impossible so I had to just dispute the charge with my bank to try to get my money back. I've been tanning for years and this place is the absolute worse! Oh! I went in there after my trip to Florida so needless to say I was very tan! But since I hadn't been there in a few weeks they wouldn't allow me to tan the full 12 minutes!! I just kind of laughed and told the guy 'look at me'!! Meaning look how dark I am, are your serious?! LOL

Do not patron this establishment, you will be significantly overcharged and be given products you do not ask for.I came to PBT to get a spray tan before a vacation - as I have done several times in the past few years. Prior to this most recent experience, I had not been tanning here in about a year.When I arrived, I asked for a medium spray tan and that was all. I was handed a primer packet I did not ask for and have never used before. I looked confused, but I had assumed it was a sample or something considering I had not asked for anything additional in my spray tan. She asked if I wanted any fragrances and I said no. When she took my card, she mumbled what I thought was 37 dollars, but after checking my card in the car after the tan, was 70.32 dollars. Before heading to the booth, I saw my cashier pouring several bottles into my tanning solution, but since I had not been in a while, I didn’t think too much of it.After my tan, I could tell something had gone wrong. I was covered in bronzer - to the point that I was dripping. It was darker than I had ever experienced before. I got to my car and saw that 70 dollars was charged to my car and immediately wrote to their customer service email.The following day I was blotchy and significantly darker than I have ever experienced. It was streaky and I had to scrub myself in the shower to look presentable.I received a reply a few days later with a summary of what I was charged for and was SHOCKED to see that the girl checking me out that night added 2 bronzers, the primer, an accelerator and a color stay additive. I don’t even know what several of these things do and most certainly did not ask for them.Krista, the rep, offered me a free service, which I denied because clearly these workers cannot be trusted. I explained this to her and requested a refund instead since I wasn’t even able to enjoy my tan.I have yet to receive a response from her after several follow ups over 4 weeks and have yet to receive a response. I have not been able to upload this review due to my screenshot attachments, so I removed them. However, this interaction happened in the middle of April.Service: Tanning

Response to "business employee" comment. I did inform her that I frequent other tanning salons, as I'm just traveling out of state. The worker lied and told me the system wouldn't even let her if she tried, which is a 100% lie. I actually was told by a different worker of the same branch in the area it just depended on who was working. If someone clearly already has a base tan; why would that prevent it? At the end of the day, tanning in a bed is not healthy for your skin. Can you imagine McDonald's limiting you? Why would you charge $37 plus tax, only offering half the time? It's not a Missouri regulations, it's your policy so pale people don't complain about getting burnt. Your own employees said it just depends on whose working lol. Bronzed tan and Xtreme tan don't have these policies. Also you can go to any gym in the state with a tanning bed no questions. Please don't try justifying my precious 1 star review with circles of nonsense.

Super clean, friendly and helpful staff, no wait time. Great pricing, flexibility, and options available. Awesome beds at several different levels. Will definitely keep coming back.

I would not recommend coming to this location to tan. They have only one bed for level one customers (room 8) and the bed does not work properly. I had a suspicion the bed in room 8 was not working, and after talking to other employees from other locations describing the bed and what it does when you turn it on theey agreed it is not working properly. Which is understandable, not a big deal,,,,,,unless you have no intentions on repairing the bed or cant even offer another level one bed to use other than the one that is broke! Now it becomes a big deal, because i can lay under my lamp in my bedroom and get the same results for free! But im not going to do that, i already paid, and already spoke with the manager asking for another option other than the bed in room 8. but had no other option except to pay more money for a higher level. Ummm NO! If we are having theese problems and its only LEVEL ONE, im not paying more money to see what problems with level two. So i just go to other locations and avoid this one. I am confused about your website. It says that the tanning salon in Creve Coeur Mo is dedicated to 100% customer satisfaction. But after reading all the reveiws, there are more negative ones than positive. Website should say dedicated to 40% customer satisfaction! Maybe fixing that could be next on the too do list. After fixing that bed in room 8!

Absolutely ridiculous DO NOT buy a tanning package from this place. You literally can only tan every 24 hours down to the minutes so if you tan one day at 1:02 PM you can’t tan the next day until 1:02 PM. I’ve worked at tanning salons for 20 years never in my life has anyone ever had this rule not to mention they want to charge you a membership fee sorry your tanning beds are not that great and neither is your customer serviceService: Tanning

I have always heard good things about this place, but boy was I wrong. I always go to Xtreme Tan, but decided to try out Palm Beach Tan because it was closer to where I needed to be at the time. I walked in and asked for a simple spray tan, and the girl seemed to have no idea how to give it to me without having me sign up for a membership. Eventually, after calling her manager she was able to have me pay an absurd $35 for one spray tan. She then walked me back to the room, put in the dark color like I asked for, and left. Thankfully I gotten done one before, but if not I would've had no idea what I was doing. I got in the booth, and was sprayed and dried. When I walked out and looked in the mirror, I was the exact same color as I was before. I got dressed, walked into the lobby, and asked the lady working if I was supposed to develop overtime or if the machine doesn't work. She had no idea what was wrong, and put me back through the machine with the dark color for a second time. The exact same thing happened, like I expected. I walked out again and showed her my body and we both noticed no difference. By this time I was there for at least 20 minutes. She called her manager and had no idea what was going on. Eventually she ended up having me leave without any color with my dance was the next day. I had no time to come back later and she didn't even give me a refund. Finally, after calling 4 times to get refunded, I was refunded the wrong amount. My total was $35.45, and I was only refunded $30. I'm so irritated at this point that I don't even want to call back. I will never be going back here, and will never recommend it.

I have been paying $100 a month for a membership for over two years now. Every time I go to one of your locations it is always fucking closed for some bullshit reason. I mean literally every store closes three hours early every other day. I'm not gonna keep paying $100 a month if you're never open. you're supposed to be open until 9pm like your website says and every store in Saint Louis thinks it's okay to just put a hand written note on the door saying "closing early today sorry for the inconvenience" and closes at 6pm, 7pm, or 8pm every other day. You need to either give your customers a refund for not being able to use the membership that they're paying for or you need to lower the cost of a membership because it's not worth $100 every month if your never open. It's not just me that is becoming aggravated by this, the times where I go into one of your stores and it's shockingly actually open, I always hear another customer complaining about this same exact thing. You need to fix this or people are going to start taking there business else where. Sick of paying for something that I can never use.

I’ve been coming to this salon for the better part of a decade. Through the years, I’ve had my fair share of rude employees but I bit my tongue as I realize that people are allowed to have bad days. Until today.As previously stated, I’ve been a long time customer, I’ve never had an issue with freezing my account and always make sure it’s before the 1st. I checked my bank account this morning and saw that the monthly charge for my membership was pending. I called, explained the situation, the lady I spoke with, Hannah maybe said she’d have the manager give me a call back when she returned to the store. I waited 5 hours and never received a call, so I called yet again, explained the situation and Ashley, the manager was incredibly rude. She said I had to freeze before the 25th and that was that. She didn’t offer any help or resolution whatsoever, treated me like a child stating that I signed a contract ten years ago and it’s been the same ever since, snapping at me for asking questions with an entire attitude. At one point she sighed so loudly I just said thank you and hung up.This also isn’t the first uncomfortable interaction I’ve had with Ashley. I was in a few weeks ago I walked in, she didn’t acknowledge myself or anyone else, just stood there with her nose in her phone while the line was getting longer and longer. As well as, just a couple of days ago there was another customer there asking about the differences between the beds, Ashley was getting frustrated and had an attitude with this lady, too.I hope you guys can figure it out, I’d love for this to be your last bad review.Service: Tanning

Staff was very rude to me when I just wanted to walk in and tan once. She was very pushy to purchase a membership and upgrade the tanning bed even though I said no quite a few times. I understand pushing sales to an extent but she gave me and her coworker dirty looks and I felt very uncomfortable being there. Will never be returning.Service: Tanning

Extremely rude after being a member for years. Would highly recommend using a different salon in Creve Coeur.
