DO NOT USE WINDSTREAM! I just spend two and a half hours on the phone with more people than I can keep track of. I cancelled my account in May 2018 and have been harrassed since then for charges they claimed I owed from August 2018. They told me that they handled this the first time they called me about it. I told them that I was no longer on the account and they told me the charge was removed from my credit score. I thought it was done then. But no! I got a second call and had to go through the whole thing again! And then a third time! 2/? Lauren And then the fourth time was the same! And then this morning I got a text from them saying I owed money on an account with a number I didn't recognize! I spent two and a half hours on the phone trying to get this sorted, was transferred to so many people and they hung up on me three times. After being transferred so many times, I was finally passed to someone that could remove my number from the account I was not connected with. Once that was done, we were transferred several more times trying to deal with the original charge that I have been harassed about for two years! We finally ended up paying it despite the fact that I never got a bill about it. They claimed they sent the bill in August, and then today, they claimed to have sent it in May before we disconnected. Either way, I never received a bill for it. We got the confirmation number from paying, so if we get contacted again, we have proof that we payed. We told every person at Windstream that we will report them to the state for harassment if they contact us again, because that is what this has been. This is absolutely ridiculous and anyone that I ear trying to find an internet company will be told how Windstream has treated me after I dropped my account. This is a terrible business model and anyone looking for an internet provider should avoid Windstream at all costs
