“Best employee in this store that they have had in a very long time hands down is Nichole she is always there and always friendly and helpful she definitely deserves a raise. I'm a regular everyday customer I see it there's been a few times she's been there alone. She's the only worker that doesn't make customers feel bad for using coupons even the 2 past managers have talked down on people using coupons. I probably wouldn't keep shopping here if Nichole wasn't there because everyone else is rude”
“Ladies were super nice my brother crashed his bike into mine and we fell we got to the store told them what happened and they cleaned it and bandaged us up. Super nice and cheap with snacks and drinks”
“This is our go-to Dollar General. They have a small produce section that is shockingly the place I find the best avocados locally. Staff is friendly, we’re able to get in and out quickly, and can get what we need without having to go all the way to town.”
“I was having a phone call with a desoto dollar tree and I asked if they have marijuana drug tests and she said, I don't know, and I don't have enough time to look with a very mean attitude in an aggressive voice, and I begin to say that it was a long drive for me. And she then hung up on me before I could finish talking yet. The Dollar General infestes at this location. I called them next and I asked the same exact questions and talked the same exact way and they were extremely nice to me and very, very friendly and helpful. And then when I got there, they already had the drug test sitting there, waiting for me at the counter, ready for purchase, because they knew I was coming. And they didn't have to do that, that was very nice of them complete opposite of DeSoto. These women deserve a raise. I forgot the young lady's name, but she is more than welcome to Add something to this review, because she knows who she is.Please do actually”
“As it should be, store is new and very clean. All employees seem very helpful. They are still working on stocking it to full capacity, but there's still plenty to look at and buy. Very happy to have them in Valmeyer!”

“Catrina and the other manager went above and beyond to help me with a situation with a purchase I had made. It was some thing that was above their control, but they still went above and beyond to make it right. It’s hard to find amazing customer service anywhere these days ! Also , I’m always greeted with a smile . Highly recommend this location!”

“Would rate five stars but I hate the remodeled stores. That's more of a reflection on corporate than on the individual stores themselves. I'm really upset that they discontinued most things like shoes and apparel in the remodels have less seasonal products in my opinion. I definitely have beef with corporate about this so the four stars is not a reflection on the individual store but I refuse to rate any remodel a five star. If it's any consolation before the remodel I gave it five stars for this particular store”
“When I moved to Pevely a few years ago, this was the WORST Dollar General I have ever been in. I’m not sure what has happened in the last year but it has improved Greatly!!!! So much better, CLEAN AND FRIENDLY!!!”

“Wow. Just ran in for some Bang Energy drinks and pepitas but found one of the absolute well kept stores ever in the history of DT ever. Every single isle is perfectly arranged and the whole store is super clean. Highly unexpected but much appreciated. Definitely makes the shopping experience a little more pleasant and the crew is a bright bunch as well.”
