“While I started using the signal app for savings, I recently found a much better use. Jake was in a friend's car and they were messing around on a gravel road late at night. He has been bow fishing gar and that works best in the dark. Long story short, they ditched the car. Signal recognized that and immediately contacted him to see if he was ok. They stated if he hadn't responded in 60-90 seconds, they would be dispatching emergency services. This added benefit is huge. While he was completely ok, it is nice to know that he would have had help on the way on an otherwise low usage road where he would have waited for quite a while for help.Thanks!”
