If i could gove ZERO STARS i would. Hands down this is the Worst post office in America. They keep the phones on silent and do the bare minimum! IVE SEEN SPIDER WEBS IN THE LOBBY!
I (disabled veteran) had to contact my local PD and had them call the post office (acquiring about a package) and they answered on the first ring, after I had over 15 unanswered calls. THEY ALL NEED TOBE FIRED!

Extremely lazy carriers. Will not read or follow delivery instructions. They will not deliver our packages unless they fit in our mailbox. We used to have great service with our old carrier. The new one constantly leaves unable to deliver or no secure location to deliver to in our mailbox because they are too lazy to get out of their delivery cars to put it where it goes. We have always for 15 years had our packages delivered to our side entrance and garage doors that are right by our mailbox. No other delivery service has an issue hopping out of their truck to walk a few feet to deliver our boxes and we didn't use to with usps. Suddenly we have no use for them as they do not do their basic jobs. Furthermore we have so much mail get delivered to other people or go missing as well as recieving other people's mail on an almost daily basis. I thought mail tampering was a federal offense? Why are couriers allowed to get away with this?

Just use UPS or fedex. Our mail person keeps leaving unable to deliver notices instead of delivering them for no other reason than pure laziness and not wanting to get out of their vehicle to walk the 5 feet from our mailbox to our garage door. We have delivery notes for years saying deliver at side driveway or garage due to the fact we have our front entrance fenced in with a dog. FedEx and UPS always make daily deliveries no problem but on the rare occasion something ships usps, they refuse to follow instructions or deliver stuff so they withhold all our packages because they don't want to get out of their vehicles and walk a few feet or read the instructions for delivery. How hard of a job is it to set a box a few feet from the road next to a door. Delivering mail does not require a degree in astrophysics or organic chemistry for pitty sakes. We have been complaining forever about this since we got new carrier. Anyone could do this job but apparently it's too complicated for those doing it. Just use UPS or Fedex

I've got to say, I've lived here 27 years and have never had any issues. They're always courteous any time I've been inside the post office. My packages are always in the mailbox if they fit. Otherwise they're left on my front porch.
When there's a delay in your delivery, I don't believe that it's one person's fault. So I'm giving 5 star rating!

Someone needs to take this post office over or close it and let a post office that wants to do the job take over DeSoto postal service…

Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stays these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds! This no longer applies with our carriers or DeSoto, Missouri office! We haven't had mail in three days and the roads are clear! I have notifications of mail but never delivered.

Good service. But longer hours on Saturday would be helpful.

Didn't deliver a package because the mailbox wasn't accessible. Construction workers next door have blocked the box in the past but today that wasn't the case. I have pics to show where the workers truck was parked for proof.

They don't even attempt to deliver packages. When I go to the post office to talk to them about it they have no idea what's going on and only the "mail carrier" can help me but there's no way to contact them. They told me to call before they open at 7:30am to talk to them but that just gets you put on an hour long hold.I'm legitimately confused, what kind of death grip does the mail carrier have on management to make it this hard to get help without them being involved?
