I've dealt with Penske's across the country, and this is by far the worst one. Incapable of doing the simple things. They do an oil change, we get the truck back with a leaking, stripped drain plug. They take our truck to do a pmi, we come to work at the start of the week and the truck won't start because the fuel system isn't primed, meanwhile Penske is closed. The list goes on and on, but hopefully I've made my point, save yourself. We do everything in our power to avoid leaving our truck at this place because we consistently get it back in worse condition. This location needs a reality check because it's a tragedy from the top down.

This is easily one of the worst ran places I’ve ever done business with. There is no communication between management and employees. Every time I needed something I never received a call back when a manager wasn’t there. They are charged me for an air compressor under the driver side seat that stopped working the first day I got the truck. Took the truck back in for a windshield wiper that flew off while we were on the highway and I just mentioned to them about the air under the seat not thinking anything of it and now I’m getting calls asking when am I going to pay this $152 that I knew nothing about and something that evidently doesn’t work properly because after they fixed it the first time it went out AGAIN! But now I have washed my hands with this place because (oh it’s not over yet) there was a problem with the way the truck was running so I took it in and they told me I had put Def in the gas tank which I don’t know how the hell that happened but I just said ok. I was using the truck for 3 months and paying them every week on the average of $1,100 dollars due to mileage. There was a quarter of the gas tank left but I wasn’t turning it in I was just going ti make my weekly payment and maintenance. They told me the truck would be down for a while and put me on reservation for another one and now have proceed to charge me $4,000 (4 different invoices) which $400 of it was for gas they charged me for it now being on a full tank, even though the plan wasn’t to return it. I talked with Abby & holly and they told me they were standing by the $400 charge for gas because I hadn’t paid my weekly bill and that’s what I had came up there for. I never type this much about anything but I want people to know what they are dealing with when they go to this location. I’m not sure about any other Penske location but I know this one is ran HORRIBLY.

I was helping a friend and the truck he just rented broke down. We were told a mechanic was coming to look at the truck. It took 3 hours for him to show up and tell us what we already knew,we needed a new truck. They had a tow truck coming to pick up the broken truck but we were left stranded and had to Uber home. Thanks Penske for the wonderful experience......

I rented a truck with a lift gate. I loaded the truck and on my way to my destination the truck broke down. It was over heating and leaking fluid all over the road. The truck made it to a gas station and I called the number given to find out the mechanic would need to come look at it before a tow truck could come. It took 3 hours for the mechanic to come and tell me what i already knew,We needed a new truck.They would send a tow truck for the rental but we would have to go down and sit and wait till they "figured it out". They refused to give me another rental and i had to leave my stuff on the truck and find my own way home. I spoke to the manager Jeffrey Dinkins the next day. I was told that I wouldn't be charged and i had a couple days to come get my stuff. I had to rent another truck to get my belongings. The day after i received an email from Jeffrey at Penske. It was the copy of a receipt stating that Penske charged my credit card even though Jeffrey gave me his word I wouldn't be charged. Then thinking this was a mistake i called him but he stopped taking my calls. So long story short....I was rented a broken truck,refused another rental, was still charged and had to find my own way home!!Thanks Penske

Please, if you can go anywhere other than Penske when you need a commercial vehicle, BY ALL MEANS, USE THE ALTERNATE COMPANY. Penske was unreliable, inconsiderate, dishonest and now a thief for lack of a better word. Let me start by saying that I've used this business a lot over the years, had very few problems, but this experience has left me dumb-founded and has persuaded me to never use them again and I will advise everyone I know to never use them either. So about 2 weeks ago I had ordered a lift gate truck to use one evening. I got the extra insurance too, just because I like to be safe for those accidents that always seem to happen when you don't get the insurance. A lady comes out with a clip board and a check list and hands a me the keys and says , "She's been checked over, and is good to drive!" Well that proved to be a lie. My employee, on the way back to my house, calls me on the highway and says," Hey, that truck is smoking up a storm, and I'm pretty sure that it isn't supposed to be coming from anywhere other than the exhaust, and it smells awful." And right then and there, in hindsight, I should've just called Penske then or something, but we had a busy night ahead of us and I had really no time to deal with that and the work we needed to do, so we went ahead with getting it to the loading sight hoping that it wouldn't be anything more than some oil on the engine burning off, and their employee had inspected it and gave it to good to go, so it must just be a little oil they must of tipped off or something, right?We load the truck, and let me tell you it was heavy lifting even with the lift gate, 6 hours later, about 11pm, on the highway, we notice that the smoke has gotten much worse and the transmission was red-lining (over-heating). We pull off to a QT down the road. Call Penske, and wait for a mechanic, they won't send a new truck out unless the mechanic can't fix it. Let me also so say that on the website and paperwork when I bought the extra insurance it says that Penske will have you back on the road in 2 hours or less, try 6 hours and that wasn't even Penske that got us back on the road. I had to pay for someone else to come and get me. Now, They wasted my time, my employees time (that I had to pay for), I had to pay for the Uber and now all my things are stuck on their truck and &then Penske calls me to tell me that I need to come move my stuff (probably because it's extremely heavy) and they we're going to charge me extra for this if I don't come and get it and they only gave me a short time to do so. And I'm thinking, really?? It's only on your truck still because IT BROKE DOWN ON ME, it broke down after THEIR EMPLOYEE okay-ed it to be driven, and you going to charge me EXTRA when I thought they should charge me less if not give me a full refund, considering I had the vehicle for less that 8 hours before it even broke down. And then I get a call from Jeffery Dinkins, the manager at the Earth City location, Jeffery Dinkins and I make a deal, the deal was if I come and get my stuff off "his" truck that he wouldn't charge my credit card a penny. So Monday, November 1st, 2023, me and the same employees that help me get this stuff on the truck plus 2 more guys, go and rent a truck (that we had to rent from a different company because Penske wouldn't give me one for free so why rent one from them when they have already proven to be unreliable? Right? ) to now go back to Penske's truck lot to unload my stuff into a new truck and go one with my life. So here I am thinking it's all said and done and then I check my credit card account online just because I had a really bad feeling that this Jeffery Dinkins was gonna double cross me and low-and-behold, he did. They charged my credit card for the rental after we had made a deal that he wasn't going to do that so long as I came and got my things off his truck. Recently rented a lift gate truck from Penske, worst experience I've ever had with a rental company. Didn't even drive the truck 5 miles before it started having engine trouble. We ended up stuck at Quik Trip for 6 hours before they sent out a technician. The transmission was bad so we couldn't take that truck anywhere and they couldn't send us another one so we had to Uber home. We were moving drums of oil which we were told it was ok to move, and nowhere in Penske's policy did it state otherwise. Because we were moving oil Penske wouldn't let us rent another one of their trucks to pick up our cargo, so we had to rent another truck from a rival company. After talking to Penske's manager Jeffrey Dinkins we were told that we would not be charged anything for renting a broken down truck as long as we cleared our cargo out of the truck. After we went through all this Penske went back on their word and still charged us.

BEST place to rent a box truck. See Abbey, Sierra or Mckenzie. All very personable and helpful. Very seldom have issues with their trucks.

Fantastic service at this Penske truck rental location! Would definitely recommend and use again. Kevin went above and beyond to call me to let me know a cargo van would be available at the time I requested so I knew we could be ready first thing in the morning. Then when plans changed and we returned early he was so kind and helpful checking us back in. Great service and we appreciate his help!

They were very nice and, had nice brand new 2022 trucks with the rear-view mirror camera. Thank you Penske Las Vegas!Hopefully soon all trucks that don't have rear-view mirrors will have the rear-view mirror camera standard installed &/or aftermarket. It's much safer having rear-view mirrors.
