It was ambiance was decent and the service was fair. It was definitely a different experience from years back when it was referred to as "The Culinaria". The HOT prepared food section was much better then. I at my lunch hour, it's a 7-8 min walk from my place. I will continue to give it a try because it's a convenient walk for me. I hope they read and make improvements.

It is nice to have a grocery option downtown. It made or nice to have some food without using grub hub for every meal. Clean with solid choices and the location is very convenient.

Monumentally shitty. Poorly run & understaffed & dirty. There's an upstairs that hasn't been cleaned in awhile. Hire some people & then try giving a shit

Schnucks downtown St. Louis, once known as Schnucks Culineria, stands out not only for its delectable chicken wings but also for its surprisingly diverse and thoughtfully curated produce section. Despite its size, this corner of the store boasts an impressive array of fresh fruits, vegetables, and specialty items that cater to a variety of tastes and preferences. Whether you're seeking locally sourced gems or exotic finds, Schnucks' compact yet diverse produce section is a testament to their commitment to quality and variety. It's just another reason why this store remains a true treasure in the heart of St. Louis.

It is so convenient. They may be a smaller store, but that is perfect for me. It's a nice option for quick purchases. Easy to maneuver in the store.

Hates Military Hates MILITARY! I am a military person, who went in this location this morning to stock up on snacks for a response team. Upon checking out, of over $100, I asked for the rewards discount (clearly I am a military member from out of town) this is where this interaction sours- KELLY at first pretended to not understand and was rude, but then acted appalled I'd even ask... I am in full uniform, clearly purchasing for many people ... KELLY was tight lipped and clearly angry and of course ... NO -thank you for your service or thank you for protecting those who are in harms way?? NO KELLY, a bad attitude rude behavior to the men and women who stand your watch day in and day out, is appalling. Kelly, you are welcome for military service no matter what. Protecting you AND those who appreciate their where their freedom.comes from

From what I understand, this is a small chain in St. Louis, but I may be wrong. It was a little disappointing in terms of a visit for me though as this store is all over the place. As you walk in, you have no idea where to go as some things are upstairs, others are all the way in the back, just no sense of direction inside. While prices are fair and they carry good produce, meats, alcohol, snacks, etc., it really just needs a little help. Staff are a tad hard to find or get assistance from, which was another downer. I had visited this location several times as my AirBnB was nearby, so while it was convenient and after several visits of understanding the store layout, I would not consider it my go to store (location) if I lived nearby to be honest. It does serve it's purpose though if you need something and you are nearby.

This urban supermarket manages to pack in nearly everything you'll need for your apartment kitchen and there is a good selection of grab-and-go for the nearby office workers. Bakery, frozen, health and beauty, dairy, produce. They have a good selection. The store also has a CVS pharmacy. I stopped by the deli and the young lady did a fab job of slicing up something for me to bring back to the hotel room for lunch. Just as well because it also ended up being dinner too because I was so busy. Self-checkout worked well. I'm not a member of their customer program but the usual number (867-5309) with a creative area code was. That worked out to $2 off! Boom! [Review 14461 overall, 1787 of 2020, number 93 in Missouri.]

I must admit that I am somewhat disappointed in this store. The reasons my dissatisfaction are: 1) The store could be a little cleaner 2) Despite being centrally located for those who either work or live downtown, the store currently closes at or around 5pm; which makes it difficult to shop there after work3) The exterior could be a little cleaner and often has people conjugating outside and/or requesting money (not a good look during a pandemic)This location has a lot of potential and I look forward to things changing once the pandemic ends. That being said, the store has some work to do.

DON"T BUY FRESH FRUIT from here! I bought the fruit tray labeled "fresh" and it was so bad that event the grapes were sour. They obviously do not check their products on regular basis and when you try to get a refund, they want you to walk a mile back to do so. Don't bother calling the customer service number, because you will be treated like an idiot and your complaint stops there. NO APOLOGIES, remorse or accountability.

This is a wonderful market. They even have hot foods to choose from if you'd like to pickup a hot meal. Located conveniently to downtown area walking distance from ballpark. I've shopped here a couple times when traveling for work.

I review this as one who was in downtown St. L for a week for work. I needed a "healthy" option for lunches to help buffet all the delicious BBQ I was reading at night. As a grocery store, Schnucks doesn't have the best selection. The salad bar is also lacking. But I found what I needed and was content.

I live and work Downtown, yet only shop at Culinaria when desperate,as it is one of the worst Schnucks in the St. Louis area. I always leave in a worse mood than when I came in. For example, tonight I was desperate. Went in. Waited 15 minutes for someone to return a cart, as they only have a total of 3 carts. And the carts they do have are the old style metal ones that all have broken wheels. The salad bar had nothing I wanted and they have the old style flimsy styrofoam containers that don't even close and spill your salad all over the bag when transporting it home. Then I wanted a small carton of milk, but they were up on the top shelf that you have to be 7 feet tall to reach and pushed all the way to the back, so I had to go find a staff member to get the milk for me. Shockingly I found someone, which is usually quite rare. Half their merchandise is displayed in this manner, which is highly inconvenient. Extremely low selection of anything. Usually leave with only a portion of my shopping list as they just don't have anything I want. Place is filthy and needs a redo. If you want to transport your items to your car, you have to carry all your bags, or find a staff member to escort you with the shopping cart. I guess they're afraid you're going to steal it. But who would want one of these ancient rusty metal carts with a broken wheel? And you have to run the gauntlet of panhandlers on the sidewalk. You can always tell how Schnucks feels about the customers in the geographic area by the condition of their store and customer service in that area. I don't think they would show this lack of respect to their Ladue customers. Wondering if Schnucks realizes that there are a lot of professional residents and workers downtown that would shop there if they actually respected these customers with a higher quality experience. Note: when they opened about 10 years ago, it was pretty nice, but it's gone downhill every year. All my downtown friends agree.
