This is why you avoid Prater's Body Works.
Messaged this week asking cost of oil change and brake pads replaced.
I was told David retired. Ok, still no idea why I was told that but no big. Later on she was saying don't want bothered because he's retired, but I contacted the shop's contact information. Said oil change is $75. Goodness I'll go somewhere else much cheaper but I didn't respond except Said ok to they would get back to me on brake pads cost. 3 days later I checked back just said checking back on what the cost is, after they never responded in 3 days. Then I got chewed out because they didn't want a message, but I used the office's contact information, not them personally. Have someone else answer the office messages then. Refused to give price quote and shouted at me and chewed me out when literally all I said was "just checking back on the cost for brake pads." So I wished them well and informed I'll happily take my business elsewhere because rudeness is unacceptable. They have informed me before he's so rich he bought his new truck and paid cash for it. Again unnecessary useless information. Remember the reason that shop is open is because of customers who made you rich because you overcharge everyone!! I reminded them they will reap what they have sewn. Read that somewhere. Wished them well and blocked them. They were rude in the past too refusing to give me information on my vehicle there for repairs and told me different information than the insurance. Avoid this shop. They are so awful to their customers. Even when my car was totaled, they questioned me like I did it intentionally in an accident that wasnt my cause and effected multiple vehicles. Then lied to me too. Avoid at all costs. Find someone humble and thankful for their customers, honest and a real business.

The lady owner, seems very nice & understanding & wants to help, but the guys are total jerks & I have proof they lied to be so now it makes me wonder if my car was an actual total loss or if there just trying to really screw me! Back story I was in a wreck, they had to come tow it, maybe 6miles from there shop, two days later I called to see what my bill was so far & they had it at $600 & also continued to tell me it was a total loss, but when they added that ALL my airbags had deployed, I knew that was a lie, only my steering wheel air bag went off & I have pictures to prove, so makes me wonder why such a small but can be proven not lie?
