I wouldn’t give even 1 star. Never ever answer their phone. I have been in there when the phone has rang off the hook and no one answers to even acknowledge it. If they don’t know how to answer landlines then go away. I cannot stand Walmart pharmacy or Walgreens but I’m starting to think they would be better. One day I called about 10 times and let the phone ring. No one even attempted to answer. BAD WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS. Don’t make the excuse that there’s not enough help. Excelsior Springs CVS you can do better, at least I hope so. If you can’t then keep your doors locked and lights off and walk away.

I know narcotics are a problem. But I have severe pain and am going to multiple drs. I am also trying to wean myself off pain medication to try alternative methods. This pharmacist would not fill my full prescription to let me wean off safely. Even after my doctors office and my doctor himself (you know the guy who has been treating me for 2 years) called him to tell him to fill it, he still would not. He decided to play dr not knowing anything about me. Also, knowing this was going to be my last script. The poor thing didn't feel comfortable. But he did feel comfortable enough to not let someone wean off safely and possibly be sick or worse. So to you Mr. Pharmacist I pray that you get some compassion. I tried to tell you what was going on and you would not believe me, kept interrupting me and just would not listen. Not everyone lies!!!

These are NOT the right hours. They are not open all day. They close for lunch everyday 1:30-2pm... It is NOT posted anywhere. It's a 20-30 minute wait if not an hour for all prescriptions.

I usually use walgreens but they closed early due to not having a pharmacist. I am in severe pain and needed my script tonight. I went to the little cvs in Excelsior and just received the best customer service. It was so great we have decided to leave walgreens. The pharmacist went out of her way to explain things and get my script ready super fast. Thank you so much!!!!

My husband and I had to get a covid test for travel, 72 hours before our flight. We got tested on Friday at 10am and didnt receive our test results back until Sun at 9pm. The website is misleading because it states it only takes 1 to 2 days to get results, but if you read the fine print, it states it could take up to 5 days. CVS of course could not help us when we called them. Therefore, we were scrambling and had to go to St Lukes urgernt care to get same day results.

I hesitate to write the scathing review I have in mind, merely out of anger. But here are the facts: I walked into the store with a script for my controlled substance medication. At the counter, I greeted her, handed her the script and asked if they could fill this? Curling her lip and wrinkling her nose, she pecked away on their keyboard and said, "No, We Don't Even Carry This." Handing the script back to me, I ask, "...can you order it and have it tomorrow?" She looks at me and hurried off to ask '..the pharmacist', returns to me, and hands it back. "You need to go to your 'REGULAR' pharmacy to have this filled." I ask again, "Can you order... . . . . ." Standing straighter, smiling politely and obviously irritated and lying through her teeth, "...WE don't EVEN CARRY this." I felt like a fool. And even more so because I've purchased this medication there numerous times. Taking my script back, I thanked her, turned and left the store. When I reached my car, I realized I hadn't yet paid for an item that was still in my hand. It was this awesome, big and super perfect, weekly pill box, to hold my handful of daily (life-preserving) medications. So, I took it back inside and gave it back to the same girl; apologized for my mistake and left again. The thing is, I've been their customer many times and was never treated like that! Having a morbid disease, I sometimes require luck in finding who can help. I'm sure they know occasionally customers have this issue. Oh. And by the way. Over the years, they've filled this very same medication for me; either on the same day or by ordering it and having it on the next day. So now, 3 days later, I'm still without it because 'My REGULAR Pharmacy' hasn't received it yet. Forget the politics here. I'm in need, I have insurance, and I can pay. Y'all dropped the ball. I hope this helps someone else in my shoes. God Bless!
