Dollar General is a neighborhood general store with everyday low prices on food, snacks, and other items. The Excelsior Springs location has a good selection and staff. The store is clean and well-stocked, with hard-working clerks. However, it can be hard to find and the building appears run down. The staff is friendly and helpful, despite the store's messy condition with crowding aisles.
The staff has always been helpful when we shop here. I never have had to wait long for someone to check us out, and they are respectful & helpful. The only person who has ever been rude was a female manager, but they were unusually busy that day. Can't wait to see the results of the remodeling they are working on.

Once you realize where the door is and it's not the hardware store it's a good sized store with a good selection and good staff.

I love shopping here because I can get some things cheaper than at Walmart
