Everything a small town diner should be. The folks working was very welcoming, food was really delicious. Can't beat the prices. I'm driving out there just to eat it more. Seems to be a daily eatery for the locals. Looks and feels like an old fashion diner.

This quaint little diner offers a throwback to times where people knew your names at a restaurant and the food doesn’t disappoint. The portion size was generous and food was stick to your ribs. The nostalgia oozes from the decor to the period newspaper articles all along the counter.

Been eating here through 2 owners, and it was ever bit as good when Brenda ran it! Great job to the new owners!

Just what you want in a small town diner. It's got the look, the feel and the food. They now take cards and not just cash. My son and I enjoyed the cheese burgers and fries.

Everything a diner should be. It feels as if it's never been updated, with vinyl flooring of old records, faded Pepsi marketing, and an old school menu board with prices that don't seem yet to have caught up with inflation. The cook is right behind the bar doing his magic, like an American version of hibachi. Had the biscuits and gravy and short stack of pancakes - as good as it gets. Wife had sausage, eggs and toast. The waitress kept the coffee coming for me and every other addict in the small joint. Cash only. I hope it never changes and will certainly stop by for breakfast next time in in town.

We were visiting Excelsior Springs and wanted to have a diner breakfast. Ray's Diner is exactly what we were looking for. Simple menu, but good food. The cinnamon rolls were excellent. Friendly staff, the guy at the grill told us he appreciated us. The place was busy the whole time and everyone seemed to get waited on very timely. Also, they have a classic cup of diner coffee. Nothing fancy, just hot and flavorful. If I'm back in town, I'll defiantly stop in again, maybe for lunch!
