I have been taking my puppy here since I got him. The staff are so amazing and nice. I had never owned and puppy before and was so nervous and wanted to do everything right. Groot loves going to the vet and never had any issues. He loves seeing the Drs and Techs. He just had surgery and Dr. Miller did wonderful. He recovered so fast. So greatful to all staff. Thank for taking such good care of my little guy and for always answering my questions. You all are awesome!?

My experience at Olde Town Veterinary Hospital has usually been a good one seeing Dr. Miller with my beagle. Under very upsetting circumstances I had to put my fur baby to sleep due to progressive Cushing disease in September2023. A new female veterinarian showed no compassion as she gave a “relaxation” injection to my docile dog! It caused much discomfort to my pet unnecessarily!! Following this, she missed the IV and proceeded to inject some medication anyway! This was not proper procedure! The entire time, the vet tech said nothing. This incident caused more stress and sadness to an already distressing situation! If and when I acquire another dog, Dr Miller will be the only veterinarian to touch my animal!!

I've used this vet for 15 years, with a break. I went back, even though I have to drive farther. It is worth it for the service.

Dr. Miller and Dr. Patterson were great, but the new vet is terrible and uncaring.I took my cat in multiple times over about 2 months because he would barely eat and was losing weight. His blood work was fine, so they sent us home every time without doing any more investigation.Obviously if he's losing weight and not eating, there is something going on, even if the blood work looks good.Eventually he stopped eating altogether and I took him to the emergency vet. It turns out he had a tumor that was completely blocking his intestines.Who knows how much longer I could have had with him if they had done a simple x-ray the first time his blood work came back normal.

Dr Miller is so kind and understanding. I came up with my beagle mix earlier today, but forgot to ask a question that my wife and I were curious about.I called back up after I was already home from my first appointment to ask if I could come back up (and I was SOOOO embarrassed).Dr. Miler was kind, understanding, and empathetic. He saw my puppy baby and didn’t make me feel embarrassed that I forgot the question when I first came in earlier.Dr Miller cares about pets, and the parents of the pets.THANK YOU, Dr Miller:)

I had used them when Dr Tammy Beckman was there. Since she left I have gone to vet clinics for shots for my dog but thought that I would revisit a vet's office to get a full exam and to get personalized attention. Unfortunately I did not get that. Frankly, Dr Paterson didn't seem like she enjoyed her job; she walked in; didn't introduce herself or even say hi to the dog and then proceeded to say "what do we have here" as she looked at her paperwork. What? Obviously a stark bedside manner. Then throughout the exam it seemed like she was looking for things to sell as she attempted at least 4 times to "offer" to sell salves and ointments, heart worm tabs and teeth cleaning. I don't mind paying premium for a vet visit but not for this. I guess I am back to the clinic. Geez, the clinic vet was more engaged.I see the great reviews but as I read them, I see other Old Town doctor's names and see that minor procedures performed so I better understand the high rating. Generally, as a rule of thumb I might suggest that if your vet comes in and does not introduce him/herself, is more focused on the chart than your pet and doesn't seem to like animals but perks up when talking about add-ons (and he/she is a principal), then beware.I do not mean this review in a mean spirited way at all but intend it to be helpful. An annual visit to a vet is very expensive ($250) proposition so we want it to be a good experience. Despite the experience with the vet, the vet tech, and the office staff was absolutely terrific (they get 5's). They were helpful in setting the appointment, giving me test results and checking me out. If you like the place, perhaps asks for another doctor? The practice gets good reviews so that may be an option. Good luck.

Dr Miller gets on the floor and makes the dog feel very comfortable. He takes his time with a thorough exam.

Substandard care. I actually drive 5 hours to take our babies back to a veterinarian that we trust and who is caring and supportive

I really like this vet clinic. It felt warm and caring. When I had to send my Monica cat over the Rainbow Bridge, the staff was all very sympathetic and helpful.
