Starting off with Branson Bank went well. There were a couple mishaps but nothing major that really bugged me. However recently over the last couple of months it has been more trouble. The loan officer at the 165 location was incredibly rude. Recently I left for vacation and I called the bank ahead of time to inform them I would be leaving to a high risk area and would need any blocks or holds taken off of my account so that it doesn't get declined for “fraud†or insufficient funds. That message didn't get through. When I checked in to my hotel my card was *surprise* declined. Being a Saturday I could not contact the bank at all. I was very close to completely losing my hotel reservation. But thankfully the hotel was able to work with me. I called the following Monday to find out why it was declined. I was informed that I had a $500 limit. I explained that was supposed to be raised for my vacation. The lady raised it so I could pay for my hotel. Lo and behold later in the week my card is declined again. I called and asked again for the limit to be raised For the day. Later in the same day my card is declined yet AGAIN at dinner, even Though I have plenty of funds and have not reached my limit. I am done with Branson bank and will be switching banks Monday. They do not listen and do not care.

Stopped in to open new account evidently 1 new accounts person and they were at lunch. Told come back in 45 mins...... no don't think so great southern it is

Awesome customer service. Mortgaged with them for over 10 years with solid payment history of almost $100k in interest. Sold our home in late February and paid in full the final payment. Title Company held onto the payment for 3 weeks due to buyer delay and it triggered a 30-day late payment on my credit. Dean at Branson Bank basically shrugged his shoulders and said there's nothing he can do, the payment was late. I have a friend who works at another bank and confirmed that there was something they could have done but it's a pain and it's easier just to ignore the dispute and let the credit companies clear it off. **UPDATE** My credit score was corrected. Changed my review stars from 1 to 3. Somehow our multiple conversations did not convey that the delay in payment was due to the buyer and was out of our control, but luckily it was clarified by my review/post and they realized a correction could be made to my credit.

The staff are very friendly and always willing to help in any situation. I appreciate good service at a local bank!
