Manager Farney is rude and not knowledgeable about the store. Everyone else is very nice but Farney ruined my overall experience.

Fourth time in a row the liquor doors were shut locked. I don't have time or interest to go through the whole store. Just to buy beer I'll go to liquor store and never return here again.

Our apartment flooded Friday August 2nd 2004 and my roommate and I went to Hy-Vee across the street and bought two meals over a six and a half hour. However after once again paying for two meals plus multiple drinks they took it upon themselves to come outside and ask us when we were leaving because well making it sound like the 6-hour stay was an inconvenience. I feel like when you pay for multiple meals over a few hours span and are sitting there causing no trouble at tables that were empty with lack of customers only consuming air and a tiny bit of space that it makes it ridiculous for the staff to treat you that way. They treated us like they were straight thugs acting with no respect and a little remorse for the fact that paying customers were basically kicked off the property. When I say basically they straight up told us we needed to leave because we had overstayed our welcome. I will 100% be posting this everywhere and hope that anybody with any integrity dignity or respect for the community finds a different location or a different store to eat or grocery shop in
It's clear quite obviously they don't truly care about their customers and I for one did not have a helpful smile in any aisle.
