Staying in a historical home for a night is an experience that exceeds all expectations! The experience was wonderful, with outstanding restoration work and exceptional customer service. It was easy to imagine the hotel in its prime, with its speakeasy, bar room, and all its beautifully restored rooms. The place is absolutely phenomenal—a historic treasure masterfully brought back to its 1800s grandeur. The room we stayed in was spacious, comfortable, stunning, and steeped in history. The absence of other guests and staff made it feel like we were truly the keepers of such a prize. We came and went with ease and snuck a dance in the ball room area with no one around.

The location, just steps from the Amtrak station, river just out the window on one side and all shopping on the other side with a gate that takes you front seat to downtown.

Once you step inside, you’ll be mesmerized by the building’s beauty. From the breathtaking rooms to the luxurious ballroom and basement speakeasy, our stay felt like a journey back in history combined with modern comforts. We spent all weekend touring the hotel and reading about its history. Awesome touch to have signs with stories of what you are looking at. The top-notch hospitality provided by Laurie made us feel right at home as soon as we arrived, with everything we needed and more. Thank you, Laurie!”
