If they would ever answer the phone I guess they would be useful. But they won't. Spent 30 minutes holding for the building and lumber department just to be hung up on. Do your job, people.

This store was a the worst Lowes in the chain. The management presence is horrible. Belittle their employees in public, just hard to watch.

Geez, this is the worst Lowes experience ever. I'm new to the area and hope this is not the norm. Went in to purchase some wood/lumber and needed it to be cut. I asked three different guys who were back there who could help, and they all pointed to the other in a growly tone. A man with a red vest was walking toward that direction (way at the back of the store) when I mentioned to him, I needed someone to cut the wood. He actually had the nerve to point and tell me to go to the front of the store and ask them to page someone. I sternly said: No, you go up there and find someone. I'm not on Lowe's payroll and don't' work here, but you do!! The only person who was polite and helpful was the lady cashier by the name of JERI. Had it not been for her kindness, I would have dumped the wood on the floor and left. Thank goodness there was at least one polite staff member at the Hollister Lowes.

I'm not sure what happened to this Lowe's. They used to have the best staff and you never had to FIND someone to help you. Staff walk right by and actually look away now. I I've had staff treat me rudely and act as if my questions were a inconvenience for them.

I have no idea why there are negative reviews for Lowes. In fact, only negative one star reviews are suspicious. Lowes is a popular home improvement and hardware store in this area. Customer service is excellent. I have been shopping here for 16 years and been treated very well. I highly recommend this store as it is my favorite.

I would have given a zero star rating if that was an option. This is the worst run store I have ever dealt with in my entire life. Do not do business here. I tried to get hardwood flooring and have it installed. They screwed up every step of the way. Three months later the wood flooring was getting installed and it was all bad. None of it was the same width. Turns out Lowe's buys trash from Bruce hardwood that they can't sell to reputable flooring stores. When they agreed to give me a full refund they even screwed that up. They refunded the installation fees but not the product fee. I had to go back again and get them to give me my money back. Will NEVER do business again at this Lowe's or any other Lowe's.

The absolute worst to deal with but I'm sure you already knew that. Fridge arrived scratched and someone was supposed to call me to replace it per the delivery crew. I called every day and waited on hold 40 minutes day after day just to get transferred. Also, this fridge was delayed for 2 months straight and looks nothing like the picture.

Walked in to about half the store with no mask, thought we were in pandemic here??? Walked out and took my business to Menards they at least require masks.

We started our small condo kitchen remodel the first part of September waiting three weeks and three measurements before finally getting an order placed. Always the same line..."I was just going to do yours next" or "we are going to get that done for you ASAP." Should have been finished before Thanksgiving and now it's not even going to get finished before Christmas. After coming three times for measurements the cabinets we wanted didn't fit so we had to return and reorder waiting for the new cabinets to get finished. One person tells us we can't add the backsplash we wanted so we redesigned and now the next guy says we can. Nobody knows what the other guy is doing. One story changes to a new story. Because of this setback we most likely will miss having Christmas with our kids in FL. Thanks Lowe's in Hollister, MO

Well just like the other reviews here mine is not a good one. Customer service very poor at best. I'm not sure what is going on at this store. But it is not good. I needed one small plumbing part. No employees in the plumbing section. Pushed the help button and waited. No one ever showed up. There are plenty home improvement stores in the area. Find yourself a different one and go to it. Don't waist your time.

I ordered counter tops from Lowe's and was given the time frame for when they would be in, 28 days. After 35 days I went in to check on my order and found that sometime during the previous 4 weeks the Lowe's representative received an email from the counter top maker informing her that the color we chose was not in stock and would take an additional 4 weeks. I found this out after one employee at the pro desk checked into it and got back to me 2 days later. Since we were already four weeks into waiting for them we decided it would not be any faster to order from a different supplier and waited on our original order. We were told at that time we would receive a discount for having to wait. Four weeks later on a Friday evening after 6pm when all deliveries and pro desk personnel were gone for the weekend, they arrived at Lowe's. Thanks to the lady at the Pro desk she had made arrangements for them to be delivered the next day. They were delivered on Saturday afternoon and not surprisingly the were wrong!! They were the right color but were wrong in several different ways. I contacted the employee we had placed our order with and told her one top was missing and the others had backsplashes and were not supposed too the bar top had a scratch in it, also the sink hole we were to get at no additional charge had not been cut. She told me she would discount me and I said her offer was not enough since after waiting 8 weeks on a 4 week order they arrived and were incorrect. She asked me what I thought and I told her I did not believe after all of this that I should have to pay for them, she said "I will take care of it" and our conversation ended. A couple weeks later I found that this had not been taken care of so I inquired into it and found that she now was saying that she never said that to me. After working with the pro desk employee for a couple weeks she was able to get a little over 50% taken off of the price. I contacted the management today and they gave a little more discount but would not honor their employees original statement. If she would have told me this the day they delivered I would have refused to take them and would have made my own, which after this I wish I would have and will next time. Expensive lesson learned.

Got estimates for a fence job from Lowe's met yo sign contract. Surprise they wanted paid in full first. Never heard of that before. Now he says work to start in 3 weeks. I said that was not stated at estimate he said it was I said I'd remImagine everyone across this country employing them to do a job. that's pretty good interest on our money. Update: still not completed 7 weeks ago I gave them a check I've had to call them 4 times latest response we will get back to you no wonder they're in trouble they have had the money in full for 7 weeks STAY AWAY FROM LOWES

We ordered a bathroom cabinet online on 11/28/18... On the 4th of Dec they emailed and said that our order was cancelled. So we called up there talked to a manager he said he could get one from Springfield with in 2 days... Had me over the phone give him my credit card again. Then on the 7th we went to go and pick it up. The cashier said that they had the cabinet but needed the card again due to the fact that it was cancelled again..... so reluctantly we gave it again to them. They at this time charged us full price for the cabinet. So we told them this and they fixed it. Then when I was looking online banking I noticed that the charge on 12/4 was still there plus the charge on 12/7. So on 12/10 I drove to Lowe's to have them fix this. They tried to tell me that it was the banks problem that they over charged me and I needed to take it up with them because it wasn't in their system even though I had all the transactions from my banking printed out for them to see. There is no way that this is the banks error I was charged on the day that I spoke to the manager and again when we went to go pick this up. Such a disappointment, if you don't know how to use the machine DONT..... so at this point I am out $162.00 and they don't care

My company shops here because we have an account with them. Every time I call the store, I am on the phone getting sent to multiple departments because each one that picks up the phone says "that is not my department". When I finally talk to someone, they are rude 90 % of the time and could care less that they are helping me. I try to avoid shopping here but sometimes they are our only choice.

We used the contractor provided through Lowe's for some flooring and bathroom upgrades. The project did not turn out as well as we had planned. The contractor did a sloppy job and we still have some issues with the work completed. If you use Lowe's you have to pay up front for the total cost and then they come out and "inspect" the work. This is a total joke........if there is a problem it is not dealt with and Lowe's want to send the contractor who didn't do the work correct in the first place back out to your project. I would not recommend Lowes or their contractors to anyone. There is no support there if there are problems. You just either fix it yourself and you have to call in another contractor who can correct the issues. It is not right to have to pay the full balance before the work even begins. Not pleased with Lowe's or the customer service at all. Regrets using Lowe's for our project.
