Worst consumer experience in my life. I took the car in for a bad slave cylinder late 2021 and they had it over a month. They recommended replacing the clutch even though it worked fine. I relented figuring they knew more than I did. About 10,000 miles later, that clutch fails. I take it in and the clutch is replaced again after several weeks again of the car sitting there. I was told the car would be ready so I paid someone to drive me down from Liberty. It was not so I had to pay again to be taken home. Finally I was told it was done. I paid for a ride again and when I got there I couldn't get my car into gear. An employee of the shop entertained my ride as he climbed into the car and began to wrench the shift back and forth making me worry he was going to break off the shifter. He said it should be good now, but as I took off I noticed what I thought was tire noise. I took it to another shop for a possible alignment and was told it was not an alignment issue. I reversed the tires to see if the noise was due to a backwards radial but it didn't get better. Weeks later the clutch begin to slip yet again. I took the car back in to see if the shop would stand behind their work but instead the said the rear main was leaking causing the clutch to fail (they should have seen this the first time!). I didn't believe them as well as they both wheel hubs failed at the exact same time. I don't have any oil on my driveway so that appeared to me to be a lie. The next day I was forced to go on my trip out west with a mildly slipping clutch and wheel noise. When I got an oil change in Colorado I noticed on their invoice they added at least (and probably more) 13,000 miles to the odometer reading on their invoice... another lie. Eventually clutch and wheel noise got worse and I took it to another transmission shop. The found a missing nut on the slave cylinder, a loose bell housing bolt and a high clutch release. After telling the to check for a leaking rear main and wheel issues they found no such thing contrary to what this shop told me. I greatly regret taking my car here as it was one of the worst mistakes of my life.

This place is horrible took my car for a transmission issue and just keep getting the run around. They were suppose to fix the transmission and than they only have one person working on it who doesn't show up to work for a couple of days. They have had my car for 3 weeks and it's still not done. They didn't offer me a different solution on transportation for my family and I keep getting different stories of when it will be done. They say that it will be done by this a certain day and than they come back with well its not gonna be done when we told you it would be maybe you shouldn't tell people it's gonna be done by a certain day and than not have them there car back by that day

I took my truck Aamco Transmission & Total Car Care in Independence on December 1st after being told they would look at it for free which turned out to be a lie because they just wave the diagnostic fee if you get the service/repairs done at their shop. Whoever was working that night closed the shop 45 minutes early so I had to just drop it and leave it and hope that it wouldn't get stolen or towed before they even knew it was there. And then they proceeded to keep the truck for 28 days. I just got it back today, after they told me they would get it into the shop within a few days and wouldn't take more than a couple weeks to fix it.Brandon (their service advisor) lied to me all week about it starting Friday December 22nd telling me it was back together they were just waiting for diagnostic codes to come back from dodge so they could reprogram it and make it shift right. It wasn't until yesterday December 27th that I got a hold of someone else (who just happened to be an area manager) who told me that the transmission was sitting on a jack waiting to go back in and would be done last night. I went to get it last night and they then told me that it had been broken into in their parking lot and they would have to replace the ignition due to it being drilled out and it would be done this afternoon. There was no damage to my door locks or broken glass, it was broken into because they didn't lock my doors.I went back this afternoon to get it and they refused to discount it more than $200 (which is a slap in the face compared to the original $4,700 price) despite the bold faced lies, the vandalism, and the fact they took twice as long as I was told they would take to fix it.And then I drive it home and it still isn't even fixed the transmission is not shifting how it should and it has absolutely no power on take off. after paying $4,500 to fix it and they didn't do it right. And they claim to be transmission experts...

Took my car for a transmission replacement, when i picked the car up there was black grease smears all over the inside head liner above the drivers seat. When I asked about this the General Manager Darell said, we don't take transmissions out from in the car so it wasn't our fault. Said it looked like smears from little fingers, there have been no little finger kids in the car and was clean when it was left for repairs. They have lousy customer service and dont act like they know what they are doing.

This place was a rip off! They charged me 70 bucks to tell me things that they couldn't even spit out! He couldn't even hardly describe to me why I needed what I needed for my car which isn't what I need at all! Then I was told it was $59 for them to look at it if I wasn't going to have it repaired there I was never told to leave my car there I was never told I would have to leave my car there I was never told any of that they did not say anything about anything. When the guy looked at my car he had the lady behind the counter come get in my car and they were in the garage bickering because she didn't know what she was supposed to do while he was telling her what to do and rolling her eyes and walking around my car as if neither one of them knew what they were doing inside the establishment they were at! I would never recommend taking your vehicle to this place not to mention they were very rude and hateful

They have had my car for almost 2 weeks. Can't figure out what's wrong with it. They say they've gotten forward involved but I don't see any results. Whathowever I asked them to provide me with a rental just for the holiday weekend for Thanksgiving and actually. I only need it Wednesday night and Thursday and i'd be returning it. They refuse to do that even though this inconvenience was completely their issue. Avoid this place at all cost. All they have done is throw parts at it to see if they can get it to fix. They're diagnostic skills are horrible and do not have the ability. To diagnose accurately the problem of the car.Services: Tires

EDITED MY 5 STAR REVIEW......Okay so I got my car back I'm editing this because I am highly upset and will be contacting the owner I don't deserve to be treated the way I was I thought everything was going good but, not only did the side of my mirror get scratches on it but a code pop up on my vehicle for the first time I've never had to check engine light come on on this vehicle and still I started it for the first time when I got it back from the shop then I get on the highway to come home transmission is already messing up then come to find out they didn't tell me the truth about them touching my exhaust which they did because underneath they tap welded for the bolts that was never done that way before not to mention my transmission is leaking and it sounds like I'm driving a rice burner they didn't bolt down my radiator correctly and they left my guard underneath my car just hanging also they didn't put another bolt back underneath my hood I am serious I could say a few more things but I'm going to leave it there.Ruben was very professional and went above and beyond for my husband and I he told me exactly what was going on and the steps that we had to take he told me a week for my transmission to get done and I got a call 2 days later I would highly recommend this AAMCO and ask for Ruben and you will be in good hands I could not thank this shop enough ?

Do not take your vehicle here. Their technicians lack common sense. I left with a rebuilt transmission however they started attacking my normal mechanics craftsman's ship simply because a part that broke was broken. Sometimes parts break after years of use, especially on a vehicle that is 40+ years old. They also tried to tell me I needed a custom steering stabilizer. The bolt on mine sheared off. They said they could not reconnect it because "it didn't fit" it's essentially a shock and has tension in it, I fixed it myself in a matter of minutes by pulling it into place and putting a new bolt and pin on it.Frankly this is was a lack of common sense. It's worrisome knowing that their technicians are working on more imperative parts of the vehicle like a transmission and they lack the knowledge to put a bolt back in place. I spoke to the district manager and was essentially gas lit. I walked for $400 refund of over $4,000 spent at their shop because when I left my speedometer was broken. I'm aware the cable is hooked up to the transmission so they either didn't put in back in place or they broke it. Unacceptable and disregard of their customers to be wasting their time and then expect them to return to a AAMCO, the same place to break their vehicle, and expect them to fix it.

It took 2 days & a dozen phone calls to get my transmission looked at. The website advertised free local towing. They wanted $250 to tow it 2 miles. They wanted me to pay twice as much as the car is worth to repair it!

They told me my car would be in for 7 to 10 days it was four weeks unfortunately I had a rental car that cost me a bunch they told me they were replacing my transmission and they ended up rebuilding my transmission the price difference was substantial they got it all put together and it wouldn't run it wouldn't shift they ended up changing a sensor on the outside of the transmission not attached and that fixed my problem makes me wonder did I really have to spend $3,600 or could I have just had that piece replaced first?? And I'm still having trouble with my transmission shifts hard leaks I'm really not that happy

My car was left unlocked, it was ran through and everything was tore apart, and important paperwork magically came up missing, parts came up missing, and a sketchy mechanic wants to offer to buy my car when my title turns up missing.... and you want to blame the local crackheads?!?! Weird. Don't take your car here ever!

This is from last year. Took my Explorer in to have them replace the sensor for the ABS. I also asked them to check the rear end because is was making noise. I also advised then that the vehicle was loaded with electronics equipment and needed to be parked in a safe are, preferably inside. The next morning, I get a call from them saying that my car had been broken into. Rear window was broken and I later found that a few minor things had been stolen, all less than $100 in cost. The biggest problem I had was that they parked the vehicle in the rear of the property and their cameras are useless. After a few days of waiting for the new window, I was told the vehicle was ready for pick up. They did NOT check the rear end, they did replace the sensor and then they made me pay for the broken window stating that they were not responsible. They also stated that this had happened before with other customers, so I was not the first to have their vehicle broken into at their facility. I have since gone to another shop and was advised that the rear end had a bad bearing that was making the noise. If you want half assed work that they take no responsibility for, go there.
