Soooooo unprofessional! Called to ask a few questions didn’t answer the phone. Upon arrival myself and a few other people waited a WHILE until we got service. Once we did all these extra things that were not informed to us came up once we started the process. Never going back to hertz again!

If it weren’t for the staff at this location, it would be one star, but the staff is so good that it makes up for all the things that make their job so hard I’m impressed with the way they handle the volume and the nature of some of the other customers who are less than polite. The staff handles each one with a delicate and professional touch. Whoever is the regional manager, should take a look at the volume at the store does and the difficulties it has getting cars yet still manages to make people happy which is sometimes not so easy these days. people also need to remember that those are in customer service are doing the best they can and sometimes the circumstances are beyond their control. What is amazing that is that they still try very hard and finesse things as best they can to make things work out. I’m very pleased, and would recommend this particular store to anyone because of the service.

I am a Gold Member with Hertz car rental and use this office frequently with no issues they are friendly, quick to go over the process to get me out and on my way.Now with that said, I got a great deal, a newer 2023 Nissan Rogue. I had a dead battery, then the plastic cover on the underside of the engine and transmission came off while driving on interstate 70 from Independence to Jefferson City. Made me arrive 4 hours later than I needed too. It was inconvenient to stay the least, plus I could have had a wreck or caused one. All due to the last people to service the car. Hertz took care of me, I have never in 5 years of renting cars from them. Like I said they were apologetic, very and I was very happy when I Left. It was a stressful trip as a family member had spinal surgery. I was extremely tired, worn out, emotionally drained and Hertz made my day much easier to heal from. I WILL RENT FROM THEM AGAIN ? THANK YOU HERTZ. I wish I knew theattendants name who checked me in. He handled me exceptionally well!!!??

It wouldn’t take our credit card so we didn’t use them. They don’t accept Cash App or Credit Kharma cards

I am a Professional Driver and I have to admit that Customer Service is important to me. I made an appointment days in advance, unfortunately when I arrived a few minutes early, I was asked to return two hours later. I usually don't look down on others for how they comb their hair, dress or speak to people ~ especially if they don't like me. I'm African American, so I understand the value of being polite when the situation calls for it. However, as a customer, I have one question⁉️ Are they getting high????Around 5:30, I finally get a car. The person who finally (f.i.n.a.l.l.y) helps me treats me as if I put a gun to his head and forced him to come to work today. And, when I go to the car #ready He informs me he is doing two cars (people) at the same darn (it took good home training for me to put darn there ✌??️??) time!!!! Okay. Still waiting ?Ps ~ Yes!!! That is ranch dressing in the picture ?

If i could guve no stars i would. Qi prepaid for a rental and when i went to pick it up they wanted a 500 dollar deposit and to run a crsit check? Why so i hand them a card and i was told no i have to use the same card i used when i prepaid. Well what if i dont have the original card. So i asked if i can just put everything on a different card. Oh i had to call the number so i did. And they told me no. I had to cancel my previous resorvation and make a new one (cancelling my resorvation says its 100 dollar fee to cancel( and an extra fee to do same day rate for the new car) i went from a 383 dollar charge to a 460 dollar charge and a 500 dollar deposit and a credit check. And on top of that i am not getting my money back from the original resorvation because they cant seem to be able to charge stuff correctly. On top of that the car was not ready barely cleaned and had damage they didnt even put on the paperwork. I never received a receipt for cancelling the other reservation either. Hertz is a mess and I will never rent from here again and i will tell all my travel friends to never use Hertz. This is unacceptable.Update: i did message and your people stated and i quote " Thank you, Erica. I apologize, but unfortunately, we are unable to seek resolution on billing/compensation issues at this time. I would advise you to discuss your concerns with the local team upon return. If you feel that a resolution has not been reached, then please reach back out to us once the contract is closed out for further assistance. Thank you!-Amanda"Useless as it is I am waiting for my refund. 498 dollars worth of it.

Earlier this week they did the same thing to me i should have known better but i gae it a second chance!!

Would’ve given 0 stars but that’s not an option. Shaun at Noland rd location at independence, Mo was incredibly unhelpful and rude for being the general manager. Hope Hertz goes under. Don’t waste your money, total scam

If I could give negative stars I would. We recently rented a vehicle which shut off driving down the highway at 80mph, we proceeded to spend 2.5 hours on the side of the road in 99 degree heat (with our elderly mother and medical needs brother) on the phone with emergency service who proceeded to give us the run around and not help us. They finally asked us to figure out a way to a structure so they could order us a lyft to a nearby airport (2.5 hours away) that had a rental; there were closer airports however they weren't corporate cars so we couldn't switch with them and the other close airports she passed over until the end of the call by which time she stated they were already closed when she found them. We proceeded to a gas station via state troopers picking us up off the side of the highway and called Hertz emergency services back, after 2 more hours of no assistance, we were left with being stranded at that gas station for over 8 hours when we rented a vehicle from another company to have a family member drive from 4.5 hours away to pick us up. Hertz wouldn't help us at all, but they did have someone drive 2 hours away to make sure they got their car back. We asked for a hotel or free rental from a non corporate store (for the person picking us up), or even them paying for a rental from a competitor that was local just so we could not be stranded, all of which they declined; we ended up having to pay for another rental from another company just to get picked up. We ended that call with Hertz knowing they left us stranded in the middle of no where in a gas station; they advised us to call back the next morning to try again. During this, they proceeded to charge us $100 a day (we had a one day rental and only got half a day of use) for 3 days until their local store opened and we promptly showed up. Once arriving at the store, they only offered to cancel the contract. We tried speaking with a GM or Manager and was offered an email address, the person at the store called the GM and explained our issue and he still refused to get on the phone with us. I emailed 3 days ago and have yet to hear from them. It's been 7 days since they left us stranded at a gas station and no one has called to see if we needed assistance or if we were ok; we had 4 cases with their emergency service department. Hertz has no compassion or care for the people spending their hard earned money on their vehicles nor their safety, they only care about their vehicles; which leave you stranded and they won't help you get off the highway. DO NOT RENT FROM HERTZ! The $10 you save vs renting from Budget, Avis or Enterprise won't be worth it when you come out of $1500 because Hertz literally left you stranded.

After reading some bad reviews I decided to just try this location out. Sean was the best even though he was by himself and had a lot going on! He was able to get me in an upgraded car when I wasn’t expecting it. Thank your for all your help with my car rental needs Sean! Definitely would come back if I needed to.

Hertz has set this location's employees up for failure. They are severely under staffed with no place for customers to park their own vehicle and no where to store their rental cars. The process that is merely minutes in an airport Hertz takes 30+ minutes at this location because they have ONE person doing what 4-5 different people do at other locations. The low stars are for Hertz, not the employees. The employees are literally doing the best they can with limited resources and no support.I rent a car weekly from different locations across the country and this location is the only one I have experienced this with. Do better for your employees.

This location is not only understaffed, but also greatly lacks communication starting with the "back-end office" (who handles reservations, appointments, etc.) to the "front-end" (the employees who goes through the documentation process, cars available, and give you the keys). I can't express the amount of disorganization that I witnessed and experienced with this store.↓ ↓ My Personal Experience ↓↓My experience would start with using my insurance app to go through a rental car company. I chose Hertz because I had seen they carried Tesla Model 3's, which I had never driven before, but always wanted too. So it breaks down the pricing structure for this car and others after insurance covers 80% displaying that it would be $9/day after insurnace. It proceeded to provide the option of either picking up the rental from this location or having the car I requested dropped off at the Auto Body shop I was going to, so I naturally selected that option. I was then followed up by a phone call to confirm the time and date of when I would need the requested rental car dropped off at the body shop.**This is where the problems begins**Well I went to the body shop to meet at the agreed time and when I saw no one around and was told by the receptionist that she had heard anything from Hertz, she promptly called them to which they would tell her, " We are understaffed and can't get anyone out there until 2pm".*First red flag... why didn't they tell me this BEFORE the time we agreed to meet? Why is this being communicated to me through the body shop receptionist?Okay, whatever, stuff happens so I'll meet back at the body shop at 2pm. When arriving back at the body shop.. the car that I selected to be delivered to the body shop was no where to be found, instead.. I am told that I will be riding with someone back to the Hertz store. smh..Okay... well again, miscommunication and so far.. this experience is anything but smooth. So I go to the store and as you would guess... they of course do not have the car I requested (Tesla 3) available except for people who rent it through Uber? The car was in the lot, but only available to Uber drivers who rent it apparently..Yeah, that's what I was told. In fact, the only selection was like 3 cars and I just took the car that was available right then because I'd have to wait for the other 2 to get washed. Who would want to wait any longer after everything already. Apparently, this car with a scraped up bumper, was a eye-watering $26 per day... add on $24.99 for additional insurance (which I was under the impression that it was a one-time fee for the duration, but that's an additonal $24.99 per day - had I known it was PER DAY, I wouldn't have chosen that option) in the end.. I literally had to pay more money to Hertz than my insurnace company ($305-me and $285-my insurance) for only 9 days! Nearly $600 and I returned it with a full tank of gas! So if this experience doesn't seem that bad to you, then yeah, have at it. Personally, I'll never use Hertz or recommend Hertz or ever speak anything positive about them to anybody. I wish I didn't have to endure an experience this poorly for me to realize how bad Hertz is, but lesson learned and I'll go with Enterprise from now. I hope this helps at least one person avoid an all-around disaster.

Booked my car days in advance they gave my car away, didn’t call to verify if I needed car which I did, poor customer service, no consideration that reservation was paid in full. This is the worse car rental experience. I ended up here cause enterprise called and stated that they no longer had cars. Respectfully! Hertz do better !!

Not bad for a last minute rental! I visited 3 other locations along Noland Rd on Tuesday 8/1/2023, most had no availability and 1 had issues with their card reader.Sean made the process at Hertz simple, fast, and easy! They were able to get me in a luxury electric car the same day and for a good price. I did have to wait an hour for the car to get cleaned, but I spent that time getting dinner across the street and the rep kept being sincere with the delay.I don’t rent cars very often, but I would rent from here again! :)

A+, great experience here. Thank you Sean! Traveling cross country from FL to CA & had an issue with the electric Polestar that was rented. Sean Went out of his way to keep me in the same car but ended up with a newer electric Volvo. Sean was super professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. What an asset Hertz has with you! Thanks again for a great experience
