For the last 7 months I have noticed a big change in the Rehabilitation Center of Independence that I never ever thought I would ever witness while my mother was in your care. I am extremely happy and thankful for all the great work everyone is putting forth to take excellent care of the elderly and you will be blessed I'm sure. I thank you for all your hard and dedicated work, patience, care, and love ❤️ for all you do and especially for my mother Juliette M Cargill.

One of the hardest things I have had to do lately is interview and visit places for my grandmother. However, when I walked in to this nursing home the lady at the front desk was super kind. She introduced me to the administrator who happened to be in the hallway. After her and I talked and she showed me around she made me feel so much better. Everyone I met during the tour was so kind. The building was clean and the tour was amazing. I don't write many reviews, but from my anxiety walking in to the comfort I had walking out made me realize others go through this and hopefully this will help them. I would recommend this nursing home to anyone. Thank you for making this decision and transition so much easier.

Charmaine and the building staff are top notch. Charmaine was incredibly helpful and communicative with great information. Staff was welcoming and the sign in process was simple and easy. Building smelled and looked great. I’d certainly utilize this facility if my family member needed this level of care.

The landscaping on the outside of the building shows major improvements, walking into the building several staff were smiling and easily approachable. The facility showed extremely well and had no obvious odors throughout. Thank you team RCI for an amazing tour!

I had a great experience at the facility. It was very well kept, clean and neat. The floors shined so well. The staff are very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend!

I worked there 3 weeks. The administrator lied and blamed me for a resident eloping the building, said she would provide me footage of proof and never did. The facility smells horrendous and staff get their cars broken into even though there are "cameras" in the front of the building.I have witnessed the administrator dismiss residents coming to her with concerns. Her lack of care and professionalism is disgusting and she should be educated in how to speak to staff.This facility should be shut down for all the lies and for how understaffed they are. The turnover is high due to the poor management and it shows. The administrator has no idea what goes on in her facility and how staff is being trained which is the immediate reason for me leaving my position.

I recently stayed at this facility. I was on the fence about writing a review until something happened. 99% 0f the nursing staff is awesome. The Admissions director; Megan; is awesome, The Nursing director; Angie and Ketsia ; are awesome. The food workers and the food, suck. The CMT ; Cassandra is awesome. The CNA; Bobby is awesome. Very cold place. Had my cell phone stolen.;

Iv never been on the inside but the outside is completely trashed and has been for the 3 years Iv lived here. Can’t even walk on the sidewalk without stepping over dead limbs or hitting your head on a hanging tree. Just from seeing the outside I’d never want to go inside.

We are Working hard for you here at The Rehabilitation Center of Independence we are focused on changing the culture, ensuring and advocating for quality care of our residents, building strong relationships with families and our community through partnering with area Hospice's, Home health agencies, hospitals and much more. We have built a strong team here at RCI.One that I am proud and honored to be a part of. I joined the team Mid-May as the Social Service Director.My moto has an always will be this simple " it is my hope that the care you give is the care you receive..." When speaking to clinical care givers. Through that conversation true education is given.In Late May following my hire we gained the most amazing Clinical Director I have ever met. Our Director of Nursing joins us with over 30 years of clinical experience. She brings not only experience and knowledge to the team but heart! We are focusing on education, accountability, making a plan and following through to see that our Company's vision is stood behind.I have been in health care for over 23 years, and this is the first time I have ever seen a 5-star Rehabilitation Therapy department. With Consistent results.Wound management with successful results We have an incredible wound Nurse who is dedicated to infectious disease processes and ensuring positive results.A great team is led by a great Leader we have an Administrator, who is invested in her building, she grabs a broom when needed, she holds a hand when needed and empowers her team to do great things. Her dream is to ensure that everyone receives quality care no matter what.We lead from that reality.Rome was not built in a day, but we have worked hard with the amazing staff that has endured COVID, staff shortages, Ownership changes and weathered the storm to ensure the residents were taken care of.Our residents can be found doing fun and exciting activities throughout the day.Some exciting news to talk about at RCI is our Memory Care unit, from my understanding it is has not always been desirable.HOWEVER!!!Dementia is near and dear to our hearts and have set forth a plan to expand and create a 5-star unit focusing on the circadian rhythm, memory stations, we have a nursery, mock kitchen and many more exciting projects coming.We have Memory Care centered activities daily, shadow boxes are new to the unit and helps tell everyone's story.We love to love and look forward to partnering with you.Each day no matter how hard it has been or how easy I leave with a smile on my face.Thankful for the opportunity to serve.

This place is horrible. Understaffed, some of the employees are lazy and smoke and talk on the phone more than they work. My son has gone over two weeks without a bathe. The food is not healthy. The place smells like urine. The state is always there but as soon as they leave things go back to the same old way. My son has had things stolen from his room. I do not recommend this facility at.

I have worked here for several years and can truly say I LOVE MY JOB. Our team is passionate and have their whole hearts’ in what they do; you can’t ask for more as far as I’m concerned. There is no such thing as a perfect SNF, the heart behind it is where it’s at and I can say without a doubt WE HAVE THAT. Proud to say we have the BEST rehabilitation program in the region! Team ROI all the way!
