Worst post office. Packages NEVER get scanned in, they sit at this location for days or are lost in the system for days and then the counter CSR's make excuses and won't check the tracking. I watched postal workers in the back throw packages across the warehouse to outgoing bins. They are always short staffed. Shameful!!!

The people working there are for the most part really nice and helpful. However, in general USPS just sucks. A package to Europe mailed on 12/27 made to Chicago on January 24th. Are you for real? This is just horrible and I paid over $40 for the privilege of a package that is likely lost forever.

Very bad service, they charged me 32 dollars and they returned the package and for the refund I have to return on Saturday and they don't know what happened, they don't have an explanation

Trashy carrier removed my name from my mailbox because they felt I didn't check it enough. Now I got emails from places like my insurance saying I don't have a address. I feel like something illegal about that.

I am trying to mail small gifts to my team. I went in after hours, used the machine, following the weight bought stamps, dropped to ship. Unfortunately they were all RTS and all ruined by the staff, huge black marker all over, address blacked out saying add postage. I couldn't use those envelopes any more as they ruined them. So I put them in small bubble envelopes as it was all I had. We took them back up and the lady at the counter on 11/19/24 @9am who has worked their forever #1 said YOU SHOULD BE USING RAYTOWN?? Really, why does it even matter? I just had to move from Indep. 2.5 miles to KC add to care for elderly parent, who both have been residents of Indep for 65+ years. She then rudely said that it was going to cost over 6$ for that TYPE of envelope? Never offering ANY help! We have used this office for over 50 years. And this is the closest Post office to my address. Maybe as the person being PAID to do this job she needs to be reminded of what customer service is and she should have offered HELP and to be NICE, a little kindness can go a long way. I will go to another office and HOPE they are nice enough to help me find a more economical way to ship.

My mailman Matt H. is the best. He realized something was wrong with a man on his route & let a neighbor know so that the neighbors could check on him.

I put in a “Mail Hold” with the Post Office on 39th in Independence. I got a confirmation that my request went through, yet three days after the hold was to commence I am still getting mail! What kind of people are working in our government positions at the post office! It’s a joke!

Order an out of print book, found it forced into my mail slot with the packaging and spine tore. There's a larger box a couple feet away for bigger items. Now I'm gonna have to go to the post office to find out how to unstick this rare out of print collectable that some lazy a hole jammed into this tiny box.

My fiancé and I have been trying to get to the front desk phone for two weeks now. They had told us TWO weeks ago they would call us back and let us know when our keys are available in the next WEEK. We have been dialing the 800 number and it’s a robot that doesn’t let you do anything to get to front desk, and then found their internal number that they literally ignore. We have been hung up on five times now, and this is ridiculous.

Since I can’t get an actual person on the phone, I’ll just post a review on here and hopefully get someone’s attention. Tell your drivers they need to stop at stop signs. My neighbor almost t boned one of your drivers because they blew through the stop sign on our street. Luckily my neighbor was paying attention and slammed on their brakes.

Great customer service! John was very nice, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was in and out in under 15 minutes. Parking could be better but overall, awesome experience!
