Our family has been looking for a new groomer for our Shih Zhu furbaby for a while. We had a lovely groomer, but we moved near the Independence area and needed something closer, and I had a good friend recommend Excel Pet Spa for not only an adorable haircut, but good service, as well. They were right! The girls in there were so nice, professional, and had a clean establishment. One of my favorite things about this place is that it is totally open, meaning you can see the groomers working on the furbabes right in front of you. Both of the babies that were being worked on this morning looked so comfortable and happy. My guy was a bit nervous because it was a brand new environment, but I am so happy to say that my boy came back happy, and comfortable. Not only was he done almost two and a half hours before the promised time, he looks so handsome, and he was so happy when he was picked up. We have finally found our new groomer, and Hagrid and his family cannot wait to visit again! Thank you for taking great care of our little guy!

We love taking our doggies to Xcel Pet Spa!! ? They always do such a good job and the pups come back to us so fluffy, fresh and fabulous. We plan to continue take our doggies here and support local small business here in Independence. 10/10!!

My dog Floyd has come here for years. He always comes back smelling great, shedding less, and with an adorable bandana. The staff is also just so pleasant and easy to work with. We've had bad experiences elsewhere so this place has been a relief for us.

This is my second time going there and I really like it a lot. That you're doing a good job on my little dog and they're all really nice there and it's reasonably priced. My first time there with 2 large Dogs... Everything was done better than I expected. Good service, Friendly Folks, Duke and Hazel looked (and smelled) great! Of course I made another appointment.

They did a fantastic job on our Westie Puppy Oscar..they cut it the way we preferred and treat the puppy’s like no other!! We were referred by a family member and the ladies were so friendly and showed us different cuts for the ears and tail and body!! I was very impressed how friendly they were with our puppy and us

Mal and team are all amazing and our pup, who can have little dog attitude, enjoys being made handsome. His leg is a birth defect, and he doesn’t like it messed with and everything goes well, because he likes everyone there.

I was a walk-in and I was offer a spot right then and there..very impressive...had my dogs look so good in under 2 hours...also very affordable..I have joined the Xcel Pet Spa family...they are amazing....thank you so very much ..so much appreciated..it is so hard to find Outstanding customer service but it is here...and my dogs loved it

I have been looking for a groomer for a while now & finally decided to give this place a try. Best decision ever!! They love what they do and it shows. My sweet little Gracie looks so adorable. The care they took into making sure she was taken care of has given me such comfort. I’m definitely taking her back to see them on the regular. Looks like you’re stuck with us now Xcel! ?
