Looked on Market place for a vehicle a listing for a 2014 Escape for 4500. thinking it was too good to be true.. I talked to Darren McCallister. he saw the add and said he was surprised at the price...im sure after we left Birk Motor Company ,Darren called Shannon and told him what had happened and he changed the price...if this is you do business I would say that's has crooked..

Birk Motors in Jackson sold my nephew a car, and less than a month later, the transmission completely failed. While we understand the vehicle was purchased “as is,” there’s a level of responsibility that should come with selling vehicles that are safe and functional—not total lemons. When I asked Mr. Birk for any paperwork or service history from before his ownership, he told me there was none, and his customer service left much to be desired. Now my nephew is stuck with a $5,500 loan on a car that doesn’t even run and needs over $6,000 in repairs. Disappointing experience—buyer beware.

The man has very good prices, but do not buy a car from him unless you’re ready to put in some money to get it inspection ready. 1400 just to get my car road ready. Then doesnt want to make anything right. Which I’m pretty sure in MO you can’t sell at a lot a car that won’t pass inspection.

I drove 1 hour 30 min to look at a van he posted on marketplace. He didnt mention any issues, (he said it runs great and blows cold air) When i test drove the ABS light came on, Check engine light came on. Engine was running rough wuth a misfire. No A/C in the rear. Passenger door wouldn't unlock. Driver window wouldn't roll down. He said he knew about the misfire. Why wouldn't he disclose that in the ad? Maybe he was hoping to sell to someone ignorant who wouldn't notice. No integrity.

Gave me the keys to test drive a vehicle and didn’t even make it half a mile before the brakes went out and everything electrical went caput. Could’ve gotten into an accident. Don’t shop here.

Well I was hoping to get waited on while a friend of mine was there with me but we were totally ignored on the parking lot where he could see us and never once came out.. I had already picked one out several weeks ago cause I had been sick I called and told him I was still interested but we were out there looking different vehicle also I don't think we will not return there.

The owner hid rust and rot on a vehicle purchased from his lot that was so bad shortly after purchasing the truck bed started sinking down on the frame and had to be removed and he wasn’t honest about vehicle history the car fax showed total loss but no salvaged title and being a total loss is just as bad. He is a rip of artist and a lyre

I would highly recommend purchasing a vehicle from Birk Motors. The service after the sale was great. Shannon was extremely friendly to me both before and days after the purchase.
