Had a simple problem with my 1911 and Randy had it done in 30 seconds with no charge... I first took it to Boggs creek because I have done business with them for years but after being told that I would need to leave the gun and it cost 40.00 for literally 30 seconds of work!!! Customer service goes along way and Boggs creek doesn't offer it so please consider Bob's Guns in st.martins ... Randy is a good guy and a veteran so give them a try.

Hate to leave reviews but I rely on reviews when doing my research so worth reading and you make up your own decision. Just an A$$ from the experience I had.Backstory: searching for a Glock (hard to come by these days due to supply/demand). Found through friend to search on gunbroker.com and you can have FFL do the transfer. Okay cool I’m still new to all this but I’m learning as I go. Search on gunbroker find the gun I’m looking for, see you can select local FFL in area sure enough Bob’s gun is an option. It’s right down the road from me why not? Decide to call first to ask questions again I’m new I don’t know how all this works. From what I can tell online at the time you purchase firearm you also provide FFL information. During my call, I was told for $30 he can do the transfer (seems like the going rate sounds good) but he needs all the sellers info so he can send him his info. Now I’m confused, website says it needs to be done at same time not separate??? I contact the seller for info they get back to me right away happy to help out explain everything educating me as we go along. GREAT!!! I decide to stop in at Bob’s Gun to see if I can get the FFL info so I can complete the purchase and have it sent to his store and do the background check to complete the transfer/sale.Place feels dark/gloomy (not what I was expecting). I explained that I called earlier I asked for forgiveness of my ignorance of trying to learn all the steps involved. He explained to me as he tried over the phone in the same way that just wasn’t clear me to nor did it line up with how gunbrokers platform was set up and worked. I asked if he was familiar with it, said he was but he doesn’t give advice on purchasing online. I explained several times I just want to learn so I’m educated on the process and do everything correctly. I was told multiple times “I don’t know how much more clear I can make it to you”.To me this was a perfect chance to educate myself on the topic to learn from. Instead I was belittled and felt uncomfortable and walked away with more confusion. Is it this hard to purchase a gun and do a transfer??I walked away thinking maybe I’m doing something wrong I must be missing something? Was I asking the correct questions? Is this guy being a real a$$. ?? Yes yes he was!!!I get home go back onto gunbroker.com and do another search for another FFL shop. I see Trigger Firearms & Reloading as an option do a quick google search got good reviews I give them a call Jr. answers and explains the whole process and says yup their company is all set up on that platform it’s super easy call back and give them heads up that a firearm is on its way to them to complete background and transfer. Sweet!!!Get back online and completed my order with no hassle. So take away: I would NEVER do business with Bob’s Gun and my honest opinion the man was a j*** from the time I called him to the time I met in person. He had the opportunity to help and educate me and get some business but instead gave me the reason to spend the time to write this review. Now I’m just 1 experience,...take it for what it’s worth. He might spend the money to take this review down and maybe not. It’s an honest review, it’s a thorough review and background of the story. I wouldn’t waste time/money dealing with this company again. Go somewhere else where the owner is willing to spend time to talk with you as (trigger firearms & reloading) did when I called back saying I had a firearm coming his way. He said he was already notified by gunbroker.com and looked forward to our future visit. That’s how business owners should in theory be like and give you an enjoyable experience from start to finish.

Bought a 1973 Marlin 336 there in April 2016. Spent an hour in there talking to Bob. If I ever move back to Missouri I'll be doing business with Bob again.

Fast and friendly. Bought a Ruger EC9 here. Lovely gun, great prices. They beat a few other places price wise. Also, HUGE knife collection.

Traded me straight up on a small Glock .380. Great price and easy to work with. I see other reviews here and all I can say is he treated me great. I felt like I got a good deal and he was friendly and all smiles. Law Enforcement friendly.

Yeah he royally screwed me on price of a gun. Spent over $500.00 on a pistol that are now selling for $179.00. He took advantage because he knew everyone was sold out. Like some say, he is very rude and pompous.

Our favorite place to visit on the weekend. Love Sandy and Rich. They are great people. His gun and knife knowledge is impeccable.

This has got to be the most unfriendly man in town. Was looking to trade a rifle awhile ago and figured I'd check this place out since it's local and small. Mr. Grumpy pants didn't appreciate I had my fiancé's teenage son with me whom attends a private school and is the last person one needs to worry about. Hell would freeze before I spent a dime in this place.
