The staff were amazing! Every single of them! Not a single problem with the room! Everything worked great and I had a very pleasant stay! Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay again!Rooms: Room 107Everything worked great! Hot water and pressure were great! TV with tons of channels and microwave and fridge worked just fine. Not even a problem but the fan in the bathroom was super loud for some reason. Pretty small deal to even complain about so I won't.Safety: Few sketchy people across the street at Econo lodge but I had no concerns or worries about my safety or my vehicle safety.Walkability: Waffle house, Dennys and gas station all within 2 minute walk.Food & drinks: Continental breakfast was too notch! Biscuits and gravy, eggs, sausage, waffles, bagels, cereal you name it!

The night we stayed there, it was totally booked. But the girl at the front desk was very friendly and informative. The room was clean, and beds (including sofa bed) were comfortable. Water pressure was wonderful, and the hot shower felt really good after a long day of driving. The only issue I had with our room was that we could hear the people above us walking throughout the night. I dreaded breakfast the next morning because of all the people, but staff kept items well supplied, and things flowed rather smoothly for the small amount of space. I would have liked to see a better assortment of muffins/pastries, but breakfast was adequate. I would probably stay here again if I get back this way.

Wow. Build a new HOTEL not a motel. I stayed here once when Reagan was President. It wasn’t very nice back then. How is this still a Best Western!? I figured it would be Econo Lodge or an independent motel by now. It’s a motel. Who builds those anymore? Even tropical climates with open air hotel lobbies and hallways still usually put the entrance away from the parking.

I hope you see before you book- do not spend the night here. This is an old hotel with a few new updates. Not like I would expect for a best western. The rooms open to the outside. The pics online look good but don’t let that fool you. Old sheets- bad ceiling,dirty- poor/sloppy recent construction. Not worth what I paid.

God forbid if your a smoker, will blatantly walk in on you just for the smell, will say it was on “accident” when they have a list of occupied rooms, then accuse you of smoking in the room, checked out early on purpose just to prove them wrongIf I was smoking I’m pretty sure the smoke detector would have gone off and room would have been filled with smokeSo to the manager that accused me of this, I will be calling you every day asking for an apologyIf you were to get on your cameras, you will see me stepping out to smoke every single time, if you were to look at your cameras you would also see two guys smoking next to their room that’s was right next to me so that there also answers your question of why the other room smelled as well. Again, This is just to prove y’all wrong, y’all wanna get petty then let’s play.

I had a wonderful experience at Best Western The Oasis at Joplin! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making me feel right at home from the moment I arrived. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-appointed, providing a cozy retreat after a long day of exploring. The hotel's amenities, including the pool and fitness center, were well-maintained and added to the overall enjoyable stay. The complimentary breakfast exceeded my expectations with a variety of options to choose from. The convenient location made it easy to access local attractions and restaurants. I highly recommend Best Western The Oasis at Joplin for anyone seeking a comfortable and welcoming place to stay.

Response to owner: We never refused for them to help. Carly actually came to our room to help to the best of her ability. She saw the sweat running down our faces and kept apologizing. She was able to fix our air conditioning, but the heat had been on so it was a struggle to cool the room off. We were very thankful for Carly’s help. I did speak with you, LaRinda, and you did offer to help extend our stay. However, with the condition my mother was in we could not risk another fall to injure her broken arm due to your broken steps. I hope you understand why we couldn’t stay there for an entire week. What a disappointment for us as loyal Best Western customers for many years! My mom and I headed to Joplin to be with my aunt at the hospital. After driving all day we chose to stay at Best Western like we normally do while traveling. After I had booked the entire week the sales staff showed me the map to our room. Never once did she mention there were no elevators. My 82 year old visually impaired mother with a broken arm and ailing body from her fall had to climb two flights of broken concrete stairs to get to our room. I kept praying as I felt it was another accident waiting to happen. When we opened the door to the room it stunk of smoke (I had to sign a contract to NOT smoke while in the room) and the heater was on. The air conditioner was broken and it was horrible! The staff brought up a fan and worked on the air to finally get it somewhat working. As she saw the sweat running down our faces, she apologized and tried to find other rooms with no luck. When we woke we had no hot water for showering, the refrigerator was broken (so insulin wasn’t kept cool), the outlet in the bathroom was broken so we couldn’t see to dry hair, and the carpet was wet from refrigerator leaking. I spoke to the administrator and she canceled my week long reservation. I literally had to ask if any compensation could be given for the horrible situation. She gave me a $20 refund. I’m sorry, but with all that nonsense a full refund should have been given. So lesson learned the hard way…we will not be loyal customers again!

Absolutely horrible. For the same price, I could have stayed at a much nicer hotel. I paid $130 for the following:-The blanket was a cheap throw blanket with a white sheet on top of it-No hand soap-A thin spring mattress on top of a spring base that makes sounds every time you move. Every other hotel I have been to uses a solid base.-The pillows are throw size pillows without pillow cases-Lots of trash around the property-Large gap in the doorway near the bottom so sunlight came through and anyone walking by could hear what I was doing and peer through.-Free breakfast? No eggs, the sausage looked old, but compliments to the chef on the biscuitsI don’t see any reason why anyone would stay here. It’s expensive and extremely low quality. They have a lot of improvements to do before they can start justifying the prices they charge. I wouldn’t be complaining if I only paid $50 but I was definitely ripped off.Walkability: Close to gas stations and breakfast restaurants

The receptionist that checked us in was sweet and this is no fault of hers. We will NEVER stay here again. If you are a young woman traveling alone or have young children choose a different hotel. When we arrived we noticed a strong Oder of urine inside and outside of this property. The room was fine so we chose to look past this and stay the night. When we woke up the next morning we found our car tagged with a zip tie. Later on we found out there’s a large homeless population living in the woods near by and they frequently come on this property and vandalize/steal things from guests. When I spoke with the morning person about potentially seeing cameras to see if anything else was done to my car I was told the only place that has cameras is the front check in area. This is a larger property and you only have cameras on 20% of the property while knowing there’s a huge problem with theft and vandalism? Never again.Safety: Not safe at all.

Very disappointed in this hotel. You definitely don't get what you pay for. For those with problems taking stairs, this is not the hotel for you unless you can get a room on the lower level. They do not have any elevators so you must take the stairs. The rooms are very small. The bed was comfortable enough though. To be honest, it looked like they remodeled an old Motel 6 from the 70's. For security purposes, I don't like when hotel room doors open to the outside of the building and that is how this one is. There was a terrible chemical smell outside when we arrived and then when we walked out in the morning we were hit in the face with someone standing by our room smoking their cigarette. It wasn't a good experience and I will definitely not be going back. Joplin has lots of hotels and restaurants, which can be good, but it is just SO congested that it doesn't make for an enjoyable stay. I've stayed in Joplin twice and have been disappointed both times. Sorry Joplin but I won't be staying anymore but will just pass on through to the next town.

This place was awful. Checked in at 5:00 and my kids wanted to swim at the pool. Front desk informed us that the pool was already closed for the day. It’s June. Went to our room after weeding through the drunks in the stairwell. Rooms were nice, but the beds were really hard. Went to the breakfast to find it empty an hour before it closed up at 9:00. 9:30 took my kids down to the pool to swim. Still not open for the day, doesn’t open until 10:00 with an 11:00 checkout. What a joke. Stay somewhere else.
