The entire facility is filthy and smells strongly of mold. In fact, we could smell the mold as we approached the loading doors outside. The unit we were assigned had stains, a rodent trap, and a very odd odor throughout. We checked in and promptly checked out because there is no way to safely store anything there.

I won't give this place even one star. If you are a truck driver delivering or picking up at this location, AVIOD IT AT ALL COST.
only one tiny small dock ,you have to go around the plaza and backing to it from the narrow street ,it is a night mare backing. I checked in at 11 and didn't finish loading only 10 pallets until after 5 PM. the loader young guy ,,the most rude disrespectful kid I ever encounter in my whole career

Had an appointment on a Saturday at 1300. I purchased a pop-up camper and was picking it up from from my brother's place near here (about 4 hours from where I live). I call the morning of and let them know I'm going to stay with my vehicle instead of dropping off. They look up my appointment in their system and tell me I'm good to go...they don't have any other appointments today. I show up on time, they go out to my car, about 10 minutes later they come back and tell me they don't have the hitch for my car in stock and they won't be able to do the install. One of the employees even told me that if they had more time they'd go get I from a store in Arkansas. Why they had no time when there were no other appointments is beyond me.TLDR: made an appointment, showed up, got stood up and told they didn't have time to fix it. Didn't come home with my trailer and will have to get it installed then drive another 8 hours to get my camper.Save your time and go anywhere but here.

I rented a truck to pick up my washer and dryer. Staff was kind, friendly, and moved the process along quickly. When I got to the place to pick up my washer and dryer, they had closed already despite them telling me they’d be open that day. U-Haul refunded my money for the truck. I only had it for about 40 minutes instead of the 24 hours I originally rented it for. They just did it out of the kindness of their hearts! I will definitely be using this place for all of my needs in the future! Thanks, U-haul!

Truck was dirty with hair and stains in it. The engine knocks, it sounds like it's on death's door. Staff are untrained and poor communicators.

Have been renting from here for a long time and a worker cancelled my storage unit lease even though I was still renting and now to this day, still can’t access my online U-Haul account, it says I have no storage unit, so I have to call and pay or go to the store each month to pay rent, when I used to pay online. Wish this could have been fixed, but never was.

Nothing against the employees here. Uhaul messed up in their managing. I showed up the morning of my move to get the trailer I reserved. The staff said there were no trailer cords left so they could not give me or anyone else their rental. Such an inconvenience.

I unfortunately had a bad experience. customer service was top notch BUT we were overcharged by $300-$400! I have had to make multiple calls and am still waiting on $$$ that was overcharged. Only used it for 3 hours, there's no way we used that many miles.

These people are beyond unbelievable. The U-Haul location located in Joplin, Missouri the people were very nice in there. I rented a U-Haul to move some things for myself and my friends. I ended up getting the U-Haul at like 3 PM and I was supposed to return the U-Haul at 3 AM. I specified that I was only going to be going 8 miles. I swiped my card for $66.00 and it charged my card! Upon arriving at my friends house they had absolutely nothing packed so I was going to need to keep the U-Haul again. I ended up calling the online number and the lady told me that I did not have to pay anything to keep it until 5 PM the next day. The next day my friends were still moving pretty slow so I had to call and get the U-Haul again. I called and paid $59.00 to be able to keep the U-Haul for another day. The U-Haul was parked in one spot for most of this time due to packing it up slowly. At this point there was my card on file and my friends card on file. Whenever we returned the U-Haul, we paid $40 on my friends son’s card, which was the third card that we used. She was the one that needed the U-Haul so therefore she paid for the gas. Whenever we tried returning the key, the guy said that we still owed $150.00 and we were like “no, that’s not possible” my friend ended up getting on the phone and talking to the U-Haul people for quite some time and we also got a telephone transcript sent to my email stating everything that was stated during the call. For whatever reason the $66.00 that was pulled out of my account upon renting the U-Haul in the beginning then was put back into my account and then had to be pulled back out. Whenever we called to pay the $59.00 to be able to keep the U-Haul for another day, they never pulled the money out of my friends account. Once we got everything situated and my friend talk to the U-Haul people on the phone for about an hour, the transcript was sent to my email, and we told them specifically what card to pull the money off of and they ended up, pulling it off of the wrong card. The miles ended up being 24 miles instead of 8 miles, which we were OK with paying for but to swipe someone’s card at the beginning of the purchase of renting the vehicle, then to put it back in and expect it to be pulled out again is completely ridiculous to me! At this point we wanted a refund all the way around because this has been a hassle and an unbelievable thing to have to deal with. Communication with these people is not right. The third card that they ended up using was my autistic, best friends card for his SSI. He said his mom could use the card once just for gas not for them to pull all this money off. Now he’s got absolutely no money left. U-haul? U-rip!

Staff is always incredibly rude and undependable. Problems began when we were first getting a storage unit and they gave us one that had a lock on it, they gave us two more units that had locks on them and one that seemed to be a personal storage for their U-Haul signs before we finally just told them the number for an open one. Had one guy get really mad at me one day because he was talking with his mouth full and I could not hear what he was saying so he rolled his eyes at me and raised his voice. Also have had issues with being able to access the building during normal business hours because their card reader would be broken and we couldn't get a hold of people to fix it. The day we took out our stuff from the unit the door would not close and we again could not get a hold of anyone so we had to call U-Haul corporate to report the issue. Overall we moved our stuff out of this storage unit because of the way we and the security of our items was treated. We have also rented a truck from them when we were moving, it took me over an hour with being the only one in the store to finally get my truck because absolutely nothing was ready. The Appliance Dolly I paid for also had the rollers on the back broken and they would not let me exchange it for one in better condition. When I returned the vehicle I couldn't get anyone at the desk to come inspect it so I could leave, again I had another long wait. Terrible customer service and worse attitudes. There are much better places to rent storage units and U-Hauls. Avoid this place at all costs!
