Been in this bldg for over 4 years. Staff are always helpful and if they are not real busy they are always available for just a chat about whats happeing in our lives. Apts are sort of old fashion but that is what makes them RETRO!! Only thing missing is a w/d. I do miss that. But other than that, great spot for bus, to anywhere.

Aside from some plumbing issues I enjoy my apartment, which is why I feel the need to update my review. Krystal and Sandra were always quick to make sure things were fixed and I appreciate that. The neighborhood is clean and close to downtown, building is clean, and they are doing some necessary repairs to the building and plumbing.

My experience with this complex is very unprofessional, the staff has a nasty attitude each time myself or others reach out to this leasing office. When asked to speak with the supervisor of the leasing agent the information was never given. The apartments themselves are beautiful, but the entire staff needs to be replaced. I personally would not recommend anyone to lease from them until things change with staffing within.

Honestly when renting your main question is... Is this a PERFECT place to live. No its not, no place you RENT will be .You will have to wait till that dream house of yours is built okay ? .There has been things that needed to be fixed and was DONE. (A lot of people have lost their patience in life and think that if you Snap your fingers, magic HAPPENS. WE haven't got that far With technology YET)Me personally what I look for is the main things that I want to see when I come home. I wanted a great view, I wanted it to be open And I wanted to have great energy. I got most of that and some more.I never been so close with the staff in the office and I love it ! Crystal keeps me going in the morning and in the afternoon, we talk and laugh. So many places i've lived where the staff Act like you're Gum under a shoe and just close you out and be like, I don't know you, so I'm not helping you. I get a call right after a request is made. The maintenance people are so kind so nice, almost feel like your uncle coming to help fix something. I like the fact the most staff and residents here actually get to know you and be honest, they will help protect your property and give great advice. Shout out again Crystal in office.

I am so upset to have to write this review, especially because I was so excited to move here 5 months ago. However, ever since doing so I have had nothing but terrible experiences, treatment and service. I really recommend you do not move in to this building, look for other options like I am right now.To summarize, I’m just going to list some of the things that I’ve gone through besides unresponsiveness from the leasing office:-One of my tires got stolen from the building parking lot, they said they saw it happening on the surveillance camera but refused to share the video with me.-The apartment upstairs had a big leak and came down to my unit, I immediately reported it and had to reach out every day for 10 days for them to acknowledge me. My furniture suffered damage and there was a six-foot long crack on my ceiling that they just didn’t want to fix until I asked over and over again. They finally sent someone 2 months later.-My car got stolen off the building parking lot. I filed a police report and they asked me to get footage from the surveillance cameras. For a second time, they’ve refused to share this with me.-When I moved in to the apartment, the unit wasn’t inspected or cleaned appropriately. There are still a couple of power outlets that are not working since despide maintenance requests.I can keep going but I’m not going to do so. I should’ve done my homework and research this place before moving in. Oh well..

~2.5 year lease. The pipes were in need of overdue repair. Air vents were dirty at move in, same with appliances and grease in kitchen. I moved into a cockroach infestation. I witnessed one laying an egg sac in my kitchen. During the winter, I watched as water poured out of the ceiling and flooded lower floors. Witnessed a kidnapping outside my window. Never had a functional bedroom HVAC unit and was told it would be repaired my entire stay for it to only be addressed after I move out. Broken hvac was band aided by a hideous in air unit which leaked all year and often smelled bad. Fitness center which was advertised became entirely inaccessible. Nightmare neighbor when I first moved in. Could hear entire conversations through the wall. There is an older man who lives in the building who LIVES in the lobby and stares at you and watches you constantly, to the point an impression is left of him in the lobby couch. Heat has gone out during winters as well as hot water access. We once had to vacate over this for some up to a month and a half. The two stars I leave are for Crystal and Sandra who have tried to help me my entire stay. You will need a water purifier and air purifier. Cheap rent and beautiful view.

I have been a resident here for years. It's usually a very friendly place but a new resident has been intimidating our property manager and assistant manager. Being very aggressive with them for no reason. He even started to do so in the elevators. I love this place but with him around it's starting to feel unsafe. Especially as a women. Someone need to do something about him.

I moved into 910 Penn when I first moved to KC! Overall, I really enjoyed my experience living in this building. I have never lived somewhere where the folks who work in the leasing office are so personable and helpful. They know everyone in the building by name and really make an effort to meet your needs as a tenant. Though during my time living at 910 Penn, there was an ongoing renovation project happening (it’s done now, but it took a few months), the leasing team was very responsive and transparent about any concerns/questions I had. Also maintenance requests are typically taken care of within 2 days, which was so helpful. There’s also a nice little pool out back that is well-maintained. I would definitely recommend 910 Penn as an affordable place to live downtown!

Called to schedule a tour. Krystal was very short and rude, and I’m simply a prospective tenant. Imagine how she much speak to you once you’re locked in? Smile in your voice goes a long way.

My fiancé and I lived here for about 1.5 years. Overall, we really enjoyed our time here! Krystal in the front office is great and the maintenance men are so awesome and really timely at getting things done (one of the cons is you’ll get to know them very very quickly into living in the building due to a lot of outdated features of the building.) It’s a great building downtown, and also affordable, but there are a LOT of leaks, plumbing issues, elevators not working, etc. They’re in the process of doing major HVAC repairs right now, which will make the apartments so much better… in the future. I would be pretty wary of moving here anytime soon unless you want to be displaced from your apartment and sent to a hotel for “up to 6 weeks” but overall, I found this to be a very enjoyable place to live! There is a very well maintained pool and all of the tenants are super friendly!

-Laundry Room is a con/machines broke (for over a year now) -constant water leaks & pipe bursts. -only one elevator working for over a month. -extremely low water pressure. -leasing people that change constantly. -Only Heat OR AC, you can't have both.

Been here 3 years. Rent keeps going up but nothing has changed in my apartment? Why.Also very leaky. My electric bill went up the last few months bc of dehumidifiers and fans. They never clean the windows. So I have a nice but dirty view

Lived here for a week and when I discovered a horrendous cockroach infestation they lied to me and told me it was the first they’ve heard of a bug issue. I held a bag of old, dead roaches to the manager’s face and she told me it wasn’t their problem. I was in tears, but thanks for my father I was able to get out of my lease. These people are bullies and crooks just looking to take advantage of you. DO NOT rent here.

All around my year and a half stay here was pretty good, i had a 2 bedroom newly renovated apartment. There were a lot of maintenance requests i had to send in, mostly because of the outdated hvac system, but the maintenance men were always super nice and would fix it that day or the following day. Sadly though, the winter storm that hit early 2021 ruined one of our bedrooms. The pipes burst, ruining the wall and carpet causing us to no longer be able to use that room. I understand that it wasn't their fault, with such an old building, but they didn't compensate us at all! We still had to pay full rent even though we were down to one bedroom... not only that, they had fans running in that room 24/7 for a few weeks making our electric bill almost 200$.Other then that i have no complaints and still enjoyed my time living in 910 Penn and I'm glad they are slowly fixing the place up.
