I usually go to the Flintlock location. Went there 3x, no staff and as usual, he general manager is in her office with the door shut. I wasn't even acknowledged when I walked in. I sat and waited & finally got up I told them I NEED contacts this time, i cant come back - is someone here that can help, a receptionist...? Employee said, no - they had call ins today & went and knocked on managers door (it was completely shut) and told her what was going on, that I had come several times without help & the general manager said to tell me, "It's gonna be a minute, have a seat." I said, no - I'll find somewhere else. Called Barry road and was immediately helped and told they put what I needed to the side and I could come get it anytime. I got there in 15 minutes, and guess who was working the front desk? THE GENERAL MANAGER. She was taking calls and helping her employees. That is a real GM, she doesn't leave her employees OR patients high and dry.. Barry Road saved a customer. Commend her.

The store at 19 Barry Rd. in Kansas City got me in at the end of December for an exam even though I didn't have an appointment. That was much appreciated, but . . .I waited more than a month, but they never called to say my glasses had arrived. Finally, I called them in early February and they said "oh yeah, they're here" - as if I should have known somehow. I deducted two stars for that unprofessional oversight.

went to get my wife a pair of glasses. KW' DEARIA was so pleasant and helpful I inquired about glasses for myself. she got me in for an exam and ordered 2 pair of glasses. All because she was so nice. in fact everyone in the office was so friendly and helpful. Hard to find a place that helpful. all I can say is Thank you

Stopped in for my daughter's appointment.. Every single member of this staff was super kind and showed us outstanding service. Makes my day when my lil girl is so happy with her experience. Great staff.

One star because the exam people were nice, Other wise it should be a 0 The doctor was attentive, And the technician helping me with my glasses was very polite. HOWEVER When i came back to pick my glasses up I met with a pretty rude woman. I ordered two different pairs of glasses, The original tech advised the second pair of sunglasses i chose would be more money which was fine, I paid it, In cash etc. no big deal. When I went to pick both pairs of glasses The main pair of regular glasses feel cheap, not similar at all to the display. The second set of glasses were incorrect, ( No big Deal) as they told me, Then they tell me that THEY made a mistake and ordered the incorrect frames, and that the ones i had picked out with the original tech and went thru all the different options on them would be significantly more that i had already paid. Not sure where this miscommunication came from, The whole situation was mishandled in my opinion. They acted like it was my fault their employee missordered. After it was clearly expressed what i wanted. Had the situation been handled correctly i would have gone with it and paid the difference. Even though in my opinion they should have made it right as it was their mistake. When i asked for a refund the woman seemed shocked. Having paid in cash they had to mail me a check ( taking nearly 2 weeks) In that amount of time i was able to go to a competitor, pick out the ones i wanted in the first place, have them ordered, delivered, and am wearing them before the refund even showed up. Highly disappointing as i have bought several pair from Americas best, however not this location. If i decide to return ill go to another one even though its a further drive. AVOID THIS LOCATION

Dr. Murphy is an excellent doctor who took the time and provided the attention to detail needed to get my difficult prescription right. All of the opticians were very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Lindsey went above and beyond to make sure my glasses fit me correctly.

I set two appointments one for my husband one for myself. I called the day of the appointment and asked if we could switch times we were told yes. He arrived had to wait 15 minutes after his appointment time to be seen. I called because I was going to be about 5 or 10 minutes late they said it was fine. I arrive and Dr Murphy advised he would not see me after I drove 45 minutes to get there. The girl at the front desk with blonde hair was very rude giggly and immature. This place is overpriced and once they get you in there they charge you more than what they advertise. I would not recommend.

I want to thank Mrs. Makeba and Barb for their fast and friendly assistance. I was helped in just 3min and was on my way to enjoy the rest of my day. They always have great customer service and attitudes to match. I highly recommend the store in West Port!!!

The appointment was great, the staff is amazing, but the eyeglasses selection looks vast, but isn’t really. They also tried to sell me a display model, the only pair i really liked, at full price. The frames were pretty janky. They offered to adjust but I’m not paying full price for frames that 18554969 people have tried on. No thank you! So, I’d probably use this company again but try a different location.

First time here in America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses. I scheduled an eye exam appointment at home, I came in to check in for my appointment. For some reason it wasn't scheduled on their end, maybe a technical issue.The good side was that the employees squeezed me in. All the employees were really respectful to me, especially those who examined a pre eye exam for me before heading into the actual exam. Another employee who was nice as well was when I picked up my glasses.2 pairs + free exam for $79.95 is a great deal. The only con was waiting for the actual eye exam, I waited for a long time like at least 45 min up to an hour.

We took our daughter here for her first eye exam. Our daughter struggled but everyone was so patient! Huge shout out to Kw’Dearia!! She was patient, understanding, and generous, thank you for blessing us. Thank you for helping my daughter see, being patient with her frustrations and fears, and making us all feel welcome.
