Great place for food and fellowship. Pay outright or see if they need what you have grown.

Nice, small, knowledgeable, plant store. They also have some produce, like a farmers market stand. Prices are good. People are super friendly. Hours change with the seasons, so check their Facebook to see when they're open. I got a thornless blackberry there a few years ago, it had been prolific, easy to care for, and the kids love it.

Paid 30 dollars for tomatoes and I'm sure they were store bought. They were pithy and no flavor

An absolute hidden jewel for the Northland. Although you could almost spit onto I-35 from the property, I feel like I have been teleported to a late 1960's rural Ozarks commune every time I visit. A.U.G. is a series of greenhouses and gardens that sells all of your planting (edible and decorative) and fresh produce needs. That may be the base of the business, but there is so much more. They offer a wide variety of classes; from chain saw handling to rain barrel making and host community potluck dinners on Wednesday nights including karaoke. Today I visited for the Garlic Fest they hosted; a variety of vendors selling home jarred delicacies, cookies, coffee drinks, live hatchlings... and of course lots of garlic. The owner is truly one of the most kind and sincere souls I've ever encountered and I love supporting the "back to nature" mantra that AUG personifies. Next time that you are heading to the big box store to pick up some plants or a pumpkin or the grocery store for fruits and veggies... consider a stop here for a change of pace that will leave you in a much better frame of mind than when you entered.
