I do NOT like to shop at this location but it's the closest one to my home. I've been grocery shopping there for over 20 years for my grandmother, mom, and myself. I'm used to the rudeness and sense of entitlement from local and just regular "Caucasian" people EVERY time I shop at this location. However when grocery shopping for a few necessities for my daughter to take in her lunch we encountered a rude cashier. I complained to management about her "customer service". After putting my items in the car I returned the basket and went to the customer service booth to obtain the information corporate office number for their franchise. Instead, the store manager (Bret McPheeters) was called to assist with my complaint. While informing him of my continued business with the store despite the rude customers we encountered I'd NEVER had to deal with a rude cashier therein ALL of the years I'd been shopping at this location. While we were talking the cashier was watching with this "look" on her face and he was asking me who the cashier was. I said, "The black girl with the braids staring at us right now". She proceeded to yell down to the customer service booth where we were talking from 4 lanes away from us "What did I do?!" I looked at him and said "See? Do you all allow that from your cashiers? That's bad business and customer service." So he continued to thank me for my continued business as we walked towards the entrance/exit doors. While walking past her she was eyeballing me and I told her "You're probably going to need a new job" and went back to talking to the manager. The cashier started yelling "STOP TALKING TO ME!" repeatedly! I responded "I'm NOT talking to YOU! I'm talking to the manager!" Mind you my 5-year-old daughter is with me. The security guard walked up beside me. I told the cashier "It's a parking lot outside if you want to get active and gave street court". By this time a male employee was pulling her back trying to hold her because she was trying to physically fight me. She was literally wrestling to get away from the person that was holding her and trying to pull her away from lunging at me with my daughter beside me. I told the security guard to "Watch my daughter please" because she looked as if she was going to get loose and lunge. I reached in my purse but decided to give it to the security guard because my daughter was present. I took my stance in case she got loose but the store manager deescalated the situation with security's help by walking my daughter and me to my car. The store manager took my name and number to follow up on the outcome of the situation and assured me that the cashier would be "written up". However he NEVER followed up. So I followed up and was directed to call a man (last name Vanderbilt) in "loss prevention".?? "Loss prevention"?? I informed him "I didn't lose anything. Why am I being directed to 'loss prevention'? I'm too smart for that sir. That's NOT who I should be contacting whether they told you that or not. You should even know better than that in this situation." He insisted that's what he was told to do. I asked "Does that make sense to you? Did I lose anything? Mo. Your employee tried to fight ME in front of my daughter!" He seemed irritated and as if I was bothering him with a frivolous complaint. Sir you were present AND witnessed her actions as well as other staff members AND customers!" I'm appalled at how he acted when I contacted him today regarding the situation, his promise to follow up, him NOT following up with me as promised and requested the corporate number only to be directed to "loss prevention" regarding an employee trying to fight me in front of my 5-year-old daughter. I'm a Mama Bear and I will do ANYTHING to protect MY cub! I refuse to be disrespected in front of my child! I do NOT

This location is a larger than the other Cosentinos with a better offering than the more boutique Cosentinos. I come here to this location when I have a full shop because the selection of named brands is excellent. The store is clean, well lit, parking lot is bright at night although in the evening, sometime the parking lot can be full of diners to restaurants in the area. Prices are in line with other locations or stores. I was lucky years ago to sell this store product and they do an amazing business.

Conveniently located, but not always the best selection. The hot bar is a great, easy dinner option.

I absolutely love this Cosentino's market! You can tell that the clerks And almost all the other store associates take pride in serving the customers. I've only had one bad incident where the meat guy talked rough to me but a gentleman who I didn't even know came to my defense and got in between us and told that guy to back off! He was my KNIGHT in shining armor!!!! And thank goodness that was an isolated incident. Whenever I go I can expect to get everything that I need because their shelfs are constantly being stocked and products being rotated. Hats off to you guys down there on 63rd Meyer boulevard across from the Red Door Restaurant.

It's a good enough standard urban grocery store. I wish they had a larger gluten-free selection in every relevant department as I frequently have to travel out into the suburbs or spend huge amounts at some place like Whole Foods to get basic items. I go to the same cashier every time I'm in Cosentino's, she's awesome.

The bakery took my order on Sunday for a cake to be ready by Friday. Specific instructions were given for a heart shape. Upon picking the cake up, they told me it wasn’t ready and to come back in 1 hour. I came back 2 hours later and they said they had the cake down for May10th and not May5th. When I ordered I specifically said “Cinco de mayo” as in May5th. Yes they do custom cakes but you may not get yours due to them being unorganized and unprofessional. How did my cake go from being ready in 1hr to it now being scheduled on May10th? Doesn’t make sense. I want to give ZERO stars for ruining my sisters birthday.

Hadn't been there for 4 years when I moved out of the county, the first store when I moved back. Good to see nothing much had changed, a bit of a homecoming. Beautiful, smiling and helpful staff - it's good to be back.
