Hire and train staff that know how to treat a customer with respect and with courtesy; and, that want to be there. In the past 8+ years, I've only had a good experience with a couple of employees, that smile, are attentive and treat you nicely.....

pharmacist and pharmacy staff are the rudest people I encounter in the health business. I would not recommend this business. Nasty and rude!

THIS CVS IS WORSE THAN THE ONE ON 39TH MAIN!!!This store is always RACIAL PROFILING ANYONE WHO ISNT WHITE.This is my 4th encounter within the past 2 months of this. The other day, my husband and I went in to this CVS since its close to his bank. The moment we walked in, there was a guy at the register who juat kept looking at me, out of respect, I nodded my head towards him to acknowledge him and he just looks at me like Im stupid. I brush it off.As I walk to the first isle, I feel eyes on me.I turn around and its the same guy just WATCHING me. So, I go to another isle and guess who joins me and later…? Same guy.Im getting very uncomfortable at this point. So I turn around and give him the same stare he is giving me. He is looking at me like I have a BOUNTY on my head.I couldnt get his name, because what a coincidence, its always hiding behind something he is standing by.But, Im gonna give you a description of this jerk.White man.In his 40’s.BALD LIKE MR. CLEAN.GLASSES THICKER THAN A COKE BOTTLE.And tell me why he LOOKS and SOUNDS like he came from the Movie “Capote” (2005).I believe he is a manager there.Very unprofessional and CVS should be ashamed to have these kinds of jerks working for them. And there are other complaints about the SAME person and he still there. I will be calling corporate. We will see how long this position lasts for you.

Wife got her wisdom teeth removed chose this pharmacy to pick up her prescription but they were so abysmally slow that her medicine from the dentist wore off. Choose some place else if you need your prescription in a timely manner

I had to switch CVS locations to this one and I'm so happy I did! The pharmacist worked with me to get my medications transferred to this location and then we're able to fill all the medications within 15 mins. where another CVS told me it would take at least 2 days to fill. This CVS pharmacy is fast, efficient and the staff is friendly. I will be picking up my prescriptions from here on out.

This location has apparently opted out of accepting the membership rewards and other coupons you can have on your card, but the manager isn't going to tell that to anybody, and neither are the cashiers, who just say you don't have any. Well, I have them in the biggest way, and I'm paying to get them! So you'll go here for months in a state of confusion about it, then finally leave in a state of disgruntlement! Now I predict the lowly manager will tape a pathetic note on the door about it.

Friendly pharmacists, but very slow prescription refills.I have been coming by this CVS for years, and it definitely used to be better. It does have some great aspects - it has a good selection of over the counter options and it's pretty reasonably priced. The pharmacists have always been friendly and helpful and answered all my questions. However, it has gotten really SLOW. I now have to call them and ask them to fill the prescription after my doctor sends it over, instead of them filling it once they receive the prescription. This is especially problematic when my doctor sends a prescription for multiple months, and I have to call them every time I start to run out. You'd think they would have it in their system so they can track multiple months of scripts and fill it when the time comes around, but nope.Overall, I just go here because it's close by. However, if you're not close with your calendar/reminders app, I'd suggest finding another pharmacy.

Walked in Sunday for a flu shot. Was informed they do walk in but not on Sunday and to come back Monday. Tried to make an appointment but that is not available for the South Plaza or Brookside locations. Walked into the store today and was told they don't do walk-ins and I needed to go to Brookside or make an appt. Walked to Brookside store (1.7miles) and was told they don't do walk-ins and to make an appt on line, which again isn't possible. This store is awful. I don't want it to close because so many of us in the area count on it and it's walking distance but PLEASE, fix your website AND your attitude. If I'm going to be inconvenienced I may as well use Walgreens.

My husband and I went for COVID tests at the drive-through of this pharmacy on Monday, August 8, 2022. They initially gave me a bag with no vial in it, and then argued with me (though I opened the bag in front of them) that it did have a vial. My husband did receive a vial in his bag, but I had to pull around and wait for them to print a vial for me.I got my test back late on Monday and it was negative. However, my husband's test was messed up and was "Canceled." Given how bad they were about my test, I was surprised that it was processed correctly. They royally screwed up his, however, and are arguing that he needs to come back in. I don't think so. If you couldn't get it right for EITHER of us, why on earth would I trust you a second time?Do not recommend. Maybe they're fine for prescriptions but for testing they are a nightmare. You also can't reach anyone except by one phone number, which the local CVS didn't even know was their phone number and referred me to as the "lab." It's just ridiculous that they take up your time and then waste it.

This pharmacy makes it nearly impossible for individuals with pre-existing conditions to stay safe during COVID, which is especially maddening since my pharmacist has PROOF that I have a pre-existing condition (my diagnosis is literally printed on the bottle of some of the prescriptions they sell me- even though I wish it wasn't). The pharmacist told me from the drive-through that I *had* to go inside if I want to use my insurance to purchase over-the-counter COVID test, which forced me to be within 6 feet of her and she wasn't wearing a mask. When I got inside, she told me she didn't \"think\" insurance companies were covering COVID tests anymore (her colleague informed her that she was wrong, or else I don't think she would have even checked). I asked for 2 boxes of tests, and when I got them today, she had filled a prescription for 4 boxes (isn't that insurance fraud?). I think there's just bad management/training at this pharmacy. But, at the end of the day, they are risking the lives of people with pre-existing conditions in their disorganization.

Judgmental employees. I called for the third time asking for my script to be filled for a chronic health problem and she said "I don't see it". Kindly I reminded her that I called several days ago asking it to be filled, and if I could pick it up before six. She hung up on me mid sentence before saying goodbye

They lose at 10pm. The Google website is wrong when they say they close at midnight. 3 stars because their cultural hair section is lagging, considering they by a university.

I consistently have bad experiences in this CVS. No one is friendly at the pharmacy. Driving to another location is well worth not having to interact with rude staff.

This CVS gets some shade thrown at it, but you know what? It's my favorite one in all of KC. Come at me Yelpers!I used to live in an apartment near here, so like a NYC bodega, it became clutch. They have beer, wine, liquor in addition to all the other little snacks and whatnot you'd expect from a drug store. It's not the widest selection ever, but it certainly was good enough when I was in my 20's. The pharmacy side has been a mixed bag, but overall they're fast for filling RX's, and friendly enough. During Covid times, the country has finally gotten on testing more regularly, and this drive-thru has been a great experience. Others I've been to have taken literal hours, this one always takes 5-15 minutes and has results back in two days (as of January 2021). I believe they'll be part of the large scale vaccination, so I'll keep eyes on that as well. Like all drug stores, the prices here are set to convenience. Like, you could find a million better deals online for vitamins or get an industrial sized jug of Tylenol capsules at CostCo, but if you need it now, you pay the extra few bucks at a CVS. Oh and I almost forgot -- I don't really eat much candy anymore, but back in the day their candy selection was pretty stellar. My (future) wife and I would pop in here before movie nights and pick out something good. This review is starting to get longer than a CVS receipt, so I'll wrap it up by saying this jack-of-all-trades is my favorite drug store/low key convenience store in KC.
