Free. Informative self guided tour of how the National Monetary System works. Takes less than an hour to go through, but you do get a free souvenir for coming! Great for kids.

Beautiful building, coin collection is worth seeing, Federal Reserve vault with 1 Billion is pretty cool as well. Exhibits are lackluster, entry is free and security is painless. TSA could learn something from the Federal Reserve.

I was really surprised how fun the money museum was. It's kind of wild how little the average person knows about something we use pretty much every day. The interactive exhibits are fun for people of all ages. From trying to lift a gild bar (like 27lbs!!) to making your own money or taking a look at savings and interest, there's fun for everyone. I'd definitely recommend making it a stop while visiting KC. Best of all, it's free!

This place is all but open to the public. Like a secret society of Federal workers who have gone woke. I visited here and absolutely despise the level of secrecy and security. I get it, it's the reserve but the way the police treat you if you even attempt to photograph anything, you are treated like a criminal and pulled to the side and asked to see what is on your phone. The ACLU has protection for photographers & journalists against harassment from law officers like this. Just another Federal building now off limits to the public. As a photojournalist I have seen all parts of historic America and research certain aspects and time gaps in history. In order to completely understand something, one has to see it and what I am finding more everyday is buildings pretty much closed to the public. Library's, Courthouses, City Halls, old bank & insurance buildings, everything either shut, by appointment, or sold off to private companies in which again closed permanently to the public. Places that were once open for big business are just shut, gone. Monuments removed everywhere, where did they all go?? At least for now Andrew Jackson's monument remains intact as the city left the vote to the locals as whether or not to remove it. It's sad in my opinion to see all of our history revoked, removed, and blockaded ~ I don't get it.. I would however give The Federal Reserve 5 stars for it's beauty and natural elegance ~

The Money Museum is at the Kansas City, MO Federal Reserve. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The museum has plenty of information for the younger set as well as those of us who are older. We thought the museum was nicely done and well worth a visit.

She asked to be fed, so I Fed-er-all I had. She still wasn't satisfied. I'll have to reserve a table at a buffet next time, you can bank on that being enough for her. Massive and beautiful structure in Kansas City which is a glorious old city that people don't realize is such a great place to visit. This is one of many showpiece buildings that you should see when you're touring the city. It's beautiful and well worth a visit. I've been here twice now and there will definitely be a third time.

Why in the world cant you post a local phone number??? There is no reason . Very annoying. I am not wanting to talk to someone at a call center in washington, new york or somewhere else. I wish to talk to someone at the bank in Kansas City, thats why I looked on Kansas City Federal Reserve web site. Courtesy should be your first order of business in a bank, or better known as customer service.

Cool little museum, free admission, you get to hold a real gold bar and get a free bag of shredded money. Gift shop is cheap and there is also free literature to take with you.Best part was looking into the vault, seeing the robots moving immense amounts of money around, and seeing the machines in staff in the clean rooms.Free and plentiful parking.Great way to spend an hour or so!

The museum was great! The Truman coin collection is the most impressive I’ve seen to date! Our tour guide was the most educated man and he was able to answer every question with ease. Lovely time and would recommend to anyone!
