I'd highly recommend Jim Seibold and Bison Bank. Jim has been so communicative with us throughout our entire process and has made the buying process enjoyable. He's extremely knowledgeable and has a very fun and kind demeanor. I've had some questions during this process and he even answers the phone at nights, now that's thorough. We couldn't be more pleased.

We got good interest rate locked in initially (for the market at that moment). Then, when interest rates lowered surprisingly, our lender allowed us to float down the interest rate to be more consistent with the new rates. This saved us A LOT of money over the life of the loan. I also really liked that the loan officer was very responsive when I needed assistance.

I would highly recommend Chris Jumps and his team if you’re shopping for a mortgage. Straightforward rate quotes, no high pressure sales tactics, excellent communication, easy to use online portal for document review and upload, and a team that has your back throughout the loan process.

Basil was great. I talked to about 5 other lenders and he was able to give me the lowest rate easily on our first phone call. He stuck with it and the closing was smooth.

Working with Basil was the easiest and most pleasant part of my entire home buying experience! Basil is not just down to earth and knowledgeable, he is also the most responsive person I have ever worked with. Day or night, Basil was on the ball!The thing that meant so much to me was that no matter what, he was devoted to getting the best deal for my family and that he (and his team) truly looks out for our veterans. Following my retirement from the Marine Corps, the entire process was foreign to me and Basil walked me through it from top to bottom. My wife even exclaimed how much of a blessing Basil was.We are so thankful that we were referred to him. We will always recommend Basil anytime someone is looking to buy henceforth.

Horrible experience working with them. They were great in the beginning with competitive rates. However two days before closing, we realized they hadn't properly processed our loan. They hadn't done their due diligence that ended up costing us a few thousand more in closing. Futhermore, they also didn't process on our time making us delay our closing by a day. Stay away from this lender. I have been following with loan officer for three months and no resolution. Hence resorting to posting here.

This review is for Scott Spicer.We were referred to Scott by a friend and our experience with him was stellar!To say Scott went above and beyond for us would be an absolute understatement.Buying a house, taking a loan is overwhelming and stressful, especially for the first timers. Thankfully Scott made the process straightforward for us and educated us throughout the way.Throughout the process, Scott maintained open lines of communications. We would contact him via email, phone and text and the responses were instant. He was available during the evening and weekends as well (huge plus!).Scott gives really great advice and has your best interest at heart. He sincerely cares about getting you the best loan terms possible. Our builder changed the closing dates multiple times but Scott and his team were always ready to close before time. We would not hesitate to finance our future properties with Scott.It's been a sincere pleasure working with him and we wouldn't want to work with anyone else. Highly recommend.

Basil gave us the best rate by far and was also extremely responsive with excellent and thorough communication. Our loan was finalized plenty of time before the closing date. Highly recommend!

We were moving across states with new jobs into a new build which had its closing date pushed back twice delaying things by months, while dealing with interest rates going crazy, selling our old home while living in it, and the spring/summer housing market madness. After overcoming all of that, I am extremely grateful I got to work with Scott Spicer on my loan. He got me the best rate locked in throughout all the delays while rates rocketed. He was very knowledgeable and always answered my calls whenever. We even decided to go with him instead of the builder’s lender that came with credits. He’s a good guy that works hard. In hindsight after observing the service I received from my realtor, builder, movers, packers, and all other moving related services, I can safely say they all sucked to some degree. I was just another client fit into their “over-promised” schedule. Scott was truly the only one positive experience. He always delivered. He never over promised. When rates plummet I’ll definitely be reaching out to refinance. Cheers!

Contacted Loan Officer 1 with First Mortgage Direct about a home loan. She was informative and responsive. Not sure if she was fired or quit but I stopped hearing from her. After two weeks, I called the bank and was informed she was no longer with the company. I was referred to Loan Officer 2. Spoke with Loan Officer 2 she told me she had everything she needed and would be sending my paper work to underwriting. Another week goes by and no word from Loan Officer 2. I called the bank again asked to speak with a loan manager. I was sent to the VP of customer experience or something like that. Left him a voicemail. Loan Officer 2 calls me apologized, stating the VP had reached out to her. To date, I haven't received a phone call or email from the VP. Hopefully, you will have a better experience with this bank than I did. Honestly, they don't deserve the one star.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL DECEIVE YOU INTO THINKING YOU ARE GETTING A GOOD RATE AND THEN COMPLETELY SCAM YOU INTO ULTIMATELY PAYING MORE THAN ANY OTHER MORTGAGE COMPANY ONCE IT'S TOO LATE TO SWITCH.If I could give negative stars I would. My family lost $40k to this scam of a company. They started off super responsive and nice and kept saying everything is on track for closing. Then after 2 weeks I stopped receiving updates, got no responses to any of my emails and could not get a hold of anyone. I had to continue pestering them until I finally got a response where they said everything was on track for closing. THEN 2 days before closing they suddenly said that they could not close on time, lied to us about some missing tax documents that wouldn't come in on time and said we needed to change our loan type completely, pay $30k more for the down payment AND pay $15k in points in order to keep our rate that we had LOCKED IN. We had no other choice but to proceed in order to keep our house since the seller wasn't budging on moving the closing date. I ended up having to take out a loan from friends in order to pay for this loan, which was ridiculous. Then one day after closing, the lender called me back to "make amends" and said that they had ACTUALLY GOTTEN A WAIVER ON THE TAX TRANSCRIPT so we could've kept the original loan (??) but that the change to a different loan type (and decision to pay $40k more) was OUR DECISION? I've never seen something so infuriating in my life and I am so utterly regretful that I had picked this company for our mortgage. Not only were there countless nights of stress and insomnia due to this situation, we lost a lot of money that we were planning to spend on renovations and now I'm also have more debt I need to pay off from borrowing for the down payment. I've seen other reviews similar to mine about this company, so I'm almost positive most of their "positive" reviews are fake reviews that they bought off the internet. It's completely ridiculous.

Mark recently helped my wife and I buy our new two-family house (we closed in March) and also helped my parents with their financing in order to buy our old house (They closed at the end of February.) Needless to say, there were a lot of moving pieces and elements that needed to be timed properly for everything to work out. Not only did Mark and his team never miss a deadline anywhere within either deal, they were instrumental at several points in helping the other actors to avoid missing their deadlines. Mark's knowledge of the real estate industry is impressive and I heard repeatedly from everyone else involved in both deals how impressed they were with not only his expertise, but his responsiveness.For my parent's purchase of our home, he was able to get them a 3.0% interest rate in early January, with zero-down as a second home purchase (something we were repeatedly assured would be impossible by others). This was significantly better than anything else my parents' had been able to find on their own (to the point that they were skeptical of whether it would turn out to be too good to be true)My wife and I, on the other hand went under contract back in mid-December and Mark was able to get me a rate that was significantly lower than any of the other half-dozen lending agents I had spoken with up to that point. Not only was the rate lower, but he was able to offer me an extended rate lock that was weeks/months longer than anyone else was even willing to entertain. So remarkable was the deal that Mark worked out for me, that several others involved with the deal insisted that it was too good to be true, and kept trying to tell me that there was no way I was going to be able to close the deal with the numbers he was offering.That said, Mark made himself available to me 24/7 for the three months between going under contract and closing on the house. We closed on-time and with almost the same exact numbers that he had quoted me back in December. We closed on our dream multi-family house in mid-March with a rate of 2.25%, Zero-down, at over a million dollars for the property. Of everyone involved with the deal, Mark is the only one who never missed a beat, never over-promised, and followed through with everything he said he and his team would be able to do. We experienced delays from nearly every other actor in the deal, particularly on the seller's side of the process. Again, Mark and his team were instrumental at several points in either directly intervening, or helping walk me through the process of ensuring that the deal continued to make forward progress toward closing.My wife and I are hoping to look into buying a second house in the future and I can't imagine buying another property without at least giving Mark and his team the chance to match and/or beat all other offers for lending. I would recommend anyone reading this to at least offer him the chance to prove that he really is as great as all of his reviews says he is before moving on to anyone else.

We worked with Scott Spicer at First Mortgage Direct. Scott was excellent to work with. He communicated with us efficiently every step of the way, including when I would think he wouldn’t respond right away on what seemed to be after hours, Scott would call to answer my question or get more details to answer those questions. I would not hesitate to recommend him to someone and would be extremely confident using him in the future.

Great experience! The end to end process was super easy. Mike Grier was proactive, communicative, engaged and efficient. The portal was user friendly and made gathering and signing documents a breeze. Beat competitor rates and happy with my mortgage deal. Highly recommend!
