When Hannah Knowlton moved to the Flock Salon & Gallery, I followed her there because no one has ever understood how to work with my hair better than she does. I'm always curious about new places, so I didn't mind trying a new location. What I didn't expect was how great it felt from the second I walked in. The art, the lights, the decor, the warm human beings having a good time--even the bathroom felt wonderful to step into. I can love highbrow and lowbrow places if there's a vibe and this definitely has its own vibe. Which I hear keeps changing as the art changes, so I'm looking forward to future visits and more great haircuts in good company with twinkle lights.

Arlen is the best! Hands down the best cut/color I’ve ever received. The salon itself is sooooo great. It’s a whole style vibe by itself. Wonderful!

I can’t say enough GOOD things about this place and Arlen, the owner/stylist. He provides the BEST cut and color EVER! He takes time to study your hair growth and how it falls. He considers your lifestyle and what cut will be easiest for you. An artist in his own right, he showcases other local artists in his salon-gallery. It’s always a fun and interesting experience and I’m never disappointed with the results. A+, 5 Stars!

Arlen Wickstrum is the hairstylist OF hairstylists!He’s created such a magical, botanical environment at his shop, it’s like stepping into a living dream. He is truly an artist and a vibe. After 20+ years I get to leave knowing it’s always the best haircut yet.

This is the cutest boutique salon in the KC metro area. All of the staff are very friendly & accommodating. I visit Nick @ the shop. And let me tell you - he gets my blondes just right, trims off just the necessary & always makes me feel like a million bucks! He's super knowledgeable about color & styles. The products are upscale. Service is impeccable. All staff are awesome! And salon is a modern, cozy boutique. I highly recommend!!

Outstanding service in a beautiful, peaceful setting. Arlen is the most talented artist with hair and decorating the space. There is amazing art, lighting and flowers everywhere you look. A visit to the salon is more than getting your hair styled. It is like going to an oasis for a vacation! You won't be disappointed.

Nick is the bomb dot com and gave me the best cut ever, and I've been to George Masters, the guy who transformed Dustin Hoffman into Tootsie. I live in Hawaii and flew in for a family emergency and he took me last minute and transformed me into someone I love looking at in the mirror. Mahalo, Nick. Come see me every three weeks to maintain my beauty!

Heather Haavisto goes above and beyond to ensure you have a great and safe experience during this pandemic! My mother-in-law is on hospice battling stage 4 pancreatic cancer and is immune compromised. Even though the Salon is taking the necessary precautions, my MIL is too weak to make it there. So Heather came to her home to cut it. She gave my MIL something to look forward to and left her feeling and looking beautiful afterwards!
