It’s somehow cost over $150 for a bee sting on her paw that wasn’t even showing any complications, no infection, etc.I will be driving the 30 minutes to take my dog back to Raytown animal hospital where they are wonderful!

We just got fired as a client after 20 years because our dog has a dermatitis and the new receptionist said that the primary vet there is now only for vaccinations. When we asked her what good is a primary vet if they are only for vaccinations? She said that she was done with the conversation and that she was firing us as clients. She will be speaking with her manager to discontinue us as clients, then hung up on us. I would understand *that* treatment if I had used curse words or raised my voice, but I only asked a question that seems quite simple to ask. A dermatitis is something simple that would have in the past been a simple office visit, and a prescription of a antibiotics not the added stress of finding a new vet to get my pet in before my shift at work

Wanted to treat my dog for preventative care instead of addressing the issue I brought her in for. Had to take her to another vet who listened, did the correct tests she needed and prescribed the meds she needed.

My two cats have been going here since they were adopted from KCPP. Dr. Carolyn is great. Personable, compassionate and knowledgeable. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Just fyi to other Hispanics, this place is pretty racist. The staff is rude, the receptionist is always bothered if you talk to her. When you call she’s always short with you on the phone and then hangs up on you mid question. There tone and attitude changes once they realize you’re Hispanic. They don’t care to hide it either.

What sets Foxwoods Animal Hospital apart from other animal hospitals is their compassionate staff. The veterinarians are highly trained and skilled professionals who are dedicated to providing the best possible care to my animals. They treat each pet with kindness and empathy, which helps make every visit a positive experience for both pets and their owners. They are life savers ??

In my experience, this Veterinary Hospital is more focused on making money than getting to know the pet and their person. I have been taking my Chihuahua to Foxwood for 3 years, since she was a puppy. They did not designate a specific Vet to my animal, so each time I go in to see a Vet, I am seeing whoever is on staff that day. This makes it difficult for any of the Vets to get to know me and my animal well. The latest issue I had this February, resulted in me leaving this Veterinary Hospital and finding a new Vet for my Chihuahua. We went in for a standard Oral Bordetella vaccine. Additionally, I wanted to ask one of the Vets if I could have 5 cough tablets for my Chihuahua, to have on hand if she began coughing after Foxwood's Office Hours, as an emergency stash. She was not coughing currently. In December she was diagnosed with Kennel Cough at a 24 hour Emergency Vet, we were prescribed cough tablets and her cough was gone the next day. On January 22 (Sunday) my Chihuahua woke with a cough. I still have a few cough tabs left from December's Emergency visit, I gave one tablet, and the cough was gone. February, Foxwood required an examine before prescribing an additional 5 cough tablets, I agreed to the wellness exam, which was an additional $51. Jerica Moore, the Vet assigned to my pet's wellness exam that day, told me she would not prescribe 5 additional cough tablets unless I also submit my Chihuahua to an x-ray, I declined that procedure. These tablets were to be used by me, only in the case of a future cough occurring outside office hours. My pet is currently well. To be made to submit to an exam and a costly, radio-active procedure to get 5 more cough tablets is unreasonable, unkind, and disrespectful of my knowledge of my pet.

The staff seems friendly when you walk in. I believe the doctors are only two and are only there a few days a week apiece. At 52 years old I’ve had many pets over my lifetime. I have never heard my dogs yelp or any cat that I’ve ever had shriek. Since going to Foxwood, I have heard all three of my pets make very discomforting noises from the back. During nail trims and routine examinations. After recently having a cat fixed there, I took her in for a real quick routine. Check the surgical site to see if everything is OK, which we already knew it was. And right before they brought the cat back to me I heard her making noises I’ve never heard before. Not sure what’s going on there but I’m re-directing. Word to the wise.

When my cat passed, they immediately took her to be cremated for a fair price. They sent me a pretty wood urn, poem, and her paw print on a rainbow bridge certificate. ?

Very caring about the sensitivity and love we have for our animals, are very well spoken and are very loving when dealing with putting a beloved furry friend that's been around for a long time down.. my kitty Tank.. was very special, had down syndrome. He confined himself to a bench in our garage.. he had everything he needed up there, he adored love and attention, would just go crazy if he was off his beloved bench, he passed away a day before my birthday I believe, and he was purring, peaceful, they are always so kind, so loving. I adore this place as they make their prices reasonable, and they even hold your loved pets how you would... and it really meant a lot as, well.. as I said, Tank was very.. very special.?

Do not take your pet here if they require regular meds I have a dog with epilepsy, he HAS to have his meds refilled monthly if he misses a dose he will go into cluster seizures and could kill him, they only have one vet on duty that can write prescriptions and she's only there a couple days a week and not on call. Ended up having to make an emergency appointment with another vet so he could get the meds he needs, front desk people basically told me it wasn't their problem
