This was a wonderful experience, Logan Shaffer was attentive and very informative. The Greater Public Safety Credit Union was extremely helpful and efficient, they even dropped off the finest Topsy’s popcorn. I was in and out within an hour! Very nice

This is by far the most impressive bank or financial institution I ever dealt with. The staff is beyond amazing, incredible and knowledgeable. They work really fast and efficient.Connor, Megan, Bobby, Erica and everyone there is beyond helpful.I close all my auto loans with them in matter of hours ( not days). Some people have negative reviews regarding the fraudulent charges ( it’s a nationwide issue and the regulations are beyond the CU control).I’ve never had a bad experience, they always answer the phone and reply back in a timely manner.

I’ve been a member here since I was 16. I used to love it, and recommended them to everyone who was eligible. Now, I’m on the verge of closing my account with them. I haven’t been able to use my account in months due to a fraudulent charge attempt which caused my card to be shut off. I was grateful this happened, as it prevented the charge from going through. The issue is that it’s been months and I was unable to be issued a new card to replace the one that was shut off. I’ve spoken with the credit union many times, and essentially have just been told this is how it is, and it isn’t their fault, it’s Mastercard. Today I was told it can take 3 months to receive replacement cards, and this seems to be acceptable to the credit union. When I went in to have a card printed off (which I was never told by the credit Union was possible, despite my many attempts to reach out) I wanted to get a new card with the new images on it for my husband as well. I was then told they couldn’t print other cards and was made to feel bad for having the card I actually needed printed off, because they said they were running low on cards. Again, I hadn’t had any cards to use my personal account in months. At this point I hope public service members in my area find other credit unions to utilize. As others have said in their reviews, you’re 100% just a number at this one, and all of the benefits I used to enjoy seem to have disappeared without any concern from this credit union.

This bank is just horrible

Since they expanded and changed their name, this credit union isn't worth the trouble. Used to be the best place around. They go out of their way to hurt their customers of over 20 years and there is no benefit using them anymore versus other credit unions. You used to be family. Now you're just an account number.

During a very stressful time where financial burden was crushing me I reached out to KC Public Safety Credit Union to inquire about a personal loan. I was put on the line with Kenzie Molthan who, from the moment she answered, was extremely kind, respectful and informative. There wasn’t a moment that passed that left me feeling unsure or worried of the direction things would go. Kenzie turned a stressful situation into one that brought great relief and peace of mind. She went above and beyond the requirements and instilled trust between myself and the Credit Union. There’s no doubt in my mind that this will be the only place I trust with any future financial decisions. I cannot thank her or the team that helped build such an incredible advisor enough.

Not the best customer service. Fraud charge and they refused to dispute it. I had to ask several people over the course of a month for a signed balance letter so I could put an offer on a house (I have the emails to prove it). Grossly ignored my requests and ended up losing out on a house I was trying to buy.Not compatible with Zelle, Plaid, or any other "sharing" or personal money-sending features, despite multiple feature requests. You can't make cash deposits from anywhere except their branch. Other financial institutions work with a coop network to allow you to deposit cash at multiple places, even Walgreens now. But not PSCU.No option to transfer money from another account at a different institution into your PSCU account. So plan multiple stops (ATM for other bank to withdraw cash and then PSCU to deposit it) or plan to pay an exorbitant ATM fee at PSCU to withdraw from their ATM.You can't even get your account number on your online account. Supposedly this is for security. If their online security is so unsure or unprotected they won't allow you access to your account number, that's pretty scary. Only option is to go into a branch and get it on paper. If you harass them enough, they might send it to you via secured message with a passcode. If you set up an account and plan to do direct deposit for an employer or income site or allow ACH for bills, be sure to get your account numbers before you leave. Direct deposit form online? FORGET ABOUT IT! NEVER GONNA HAPPEN! You have to go into the branch to get that. Every bank and credit union I've ever banked with over the past 20 years has had a direct deposit form you can generate and print from my online login.Allegedly these lack of features and lack of security is because "we are a small credit union" (quote by branch manager). Small does not have to mean feature-less. Most credit unions are small by nature but they still seek to offer the best features for their members.

First overdraft in 10+ years. 28$ fee. No refund. No Leeway.Other credit unions will refund the BS fee.Update: Two stars, the fee was reversed after this review. I will most likely be switching credit unions. This Credit Union advertises to and preys on the first responder community. My $28 fee wasn’t an issue until I made it public.Other lingering issues with this Credit Union are:Advertising to the first responder community, but keeping bankers hours. (Do you work dog watch? Mids? 24s? 12s? and need to talk?…good luck getting ahold of someone.)Poor Communication between the customer and Credit Union.Rude staff. There are plenty of credit unions in the metro that offer the same services without the hassle of a big bank overdraft fee like Public Safety Credit Union.

Been a member for YEARS, I don't use the account as my primary. I get a $28 fee for a $2 over draft 4 months later even though all other accounts are in good standing. The credit union is not willing to work with me and not understand. This is why it will never be primary!
