Mixed thoughts on this hotel, but my experience was mostly negative. The check-in process was less to be desired with a very lukewarm welcome for a Diamond status member. The lobby area, separate from the check-in, was kind of charming with some seating, flavored water option, and shuffleboard. The lift bank had an old school flair to it. The reception lounge for status members was pretty meh in terms of seating, but gave you a view of the street so you could do some people watching if you wanted. Various snacks and a handful of beer/wine options were available. The room itself was quite small, and very dated, in a not so charming way. The bathroom was beyond cramped. Forgot my charger and the front desk made zero attempts in assisting other than telling me to walk to a shop that was probably closed and buy one. I ended up walking across the street to Marriott and even with me not staying there, went out of there way to find me a charger. The bar area of the hotel was shared with the restaurant and it was just okay. The food was subpar, especially for the cost. There is a speakeasy in the basement, and when I inquired about it with the front desk, again, zero assistance other than, “You need to download an app and try to make a reservation.” I expect this type of service at a Motel 6, not a higher end Hilton property. Although I am a Hilton loyalist, whenever I’m in town, definitely opting for the Intercontinental or a Marriott property as this Hilton location can take a few lessons in service and providing assistance, especially to their status members. A hotel to avoid in my opinion.

Beautiful historic hotel. Staff is very friendly. Breakfast is very affordable. Plenty of street parking though have to wake up to feed the meter as the app does not work. Close to main street streetcar. Elevator seems to be ok. Quiet and not many guests. Water bottle is three bucks . I did not realize it is free for gold and diamond members

Couldn’t offer me valet parking because they didn’t have someone to drive a manual car on a Saturday night. Had to self park in their garage, and after being told they would validate it - they couldn’t at check out. Had to pay for parking/park my own car and walk, at a place that should’ve been valet. Annoying inconvenience to have to walk in heels when it should’ve been valet.

Great place to stay with valet parking. Free coffee is available in the lobby. Very friendly staff. Nice size rooms.

Don’t waste your money in this hotel, or serviced no care for the customers no after hours AC repairs worst hotel ever. I called for a general manager. No one answered when we went to eat breakfast. We asked for no bacon and twice the server Tyler brought the food with bacon on it, not paying attention what he is bringing to the customers absolutely rude, throwing the bread on the floor. I’ve never seen anybody like this, when it comes to hospitality.

This hotel seems haunted. Stayed in room 801. The room was tired and painted a dark gray almost black. The paint reflected very little light so the room felt creepy and scary. I slept with the light on which cast shadows in a harsh and unforgiving manor. The room felt like a coffin. If you love horror movies you will like this place.

My work booked the hotel for me or I would have stayed elsewhere. No refrigerator/freezer to put my food in that I bought, smells like a flea market, no parking, you have to go around the corner and park in a parking garage that’s not connected to the hotel, looks like it was built in the 30’s, hasn’t been remodeled much. Ridiculous. $18 a day to park. One of 3 elevators is all that is currently working. Didn’t figure I had to worry about anything when I saw it was owned by HILTON… Literally stayed in nicer Super 8’s.

Kinda curious what makes a four star hotel a four star hotel. Certainly not having basic things like a bathtub, microwave, or refrigerator in the room. Not having a pool doesn't seem to affect it at all. Four person elevators that take 10+ minutes to get to your floor don't do it. So is it just the absolute outrageous price for a low level building?

Great location to walk to many things in the area, along with speakeasy. Great job with perks for honor members(snack lounge), best out of all Hiltons I've been too. Also means nothing but good quality shampoo, conditioner and lotion.

I recently stayed at Hotel Phillips Kansas City, Curio Collection by Hilton, and I must say, it was a deeply disappointing experience. On March 6th, at 9 PM, I called the front desk requesting a couple of water bottles, only to be met with utter incompetence and rudeness from the male receptionist on duty. He callously informed me that the housekeeping staff had already left for the day and insisted that the only option was to wait until 9 AM the next day for water delivery. When I expressed my disbelief and asked for alternatives, he callously suggested that I drink water from the lobby fountain using a glass.Furthermore, the lack of basic amenities such as disposable toothbrushes further underscored the hotel's disregard for guest comfort and satisfaction.Overall, my experience at Hotel Phillips was marked by incompetence, rudeness, and a blatant disregard for guest needs. I strongly advise against staying at this establishment unless you enjoy subpar service and amenities.

The front desk service was great, the aroma was devine, and the bed was comfortable. I stayed here for 2 nights for work. The room was small and quaint, just the right size for one person. I also visited the restaurant and speakeasy located on the premises.Safety: I felt very safe.Walkability: I was able to walk to CVS to pick up a few things for the room.Food & drinks: Restaurant and speakeasy located on the premises

Overpriced! Service was good. Amenities were awful. One elevator for the whole hotel that fits 4 people at a time. Rooms smell like sewage.impossible to even have pizza delivered there. TV services were shotty and outdated. One of the worst places I have ever stayed at. Dont stay here unless you absolutely have to.Rooms: Subpar
