horrible service. They NEVER answer the damn phone. They wont give me info for my last years taxes without buying it so now I can not get my taxes this year because the IRS is requesting info from it but HR block screws you. I will be filing a federal complaint and law suit. Oh and if you do

Wish I could give a 0. They took a refund loan out of my 2024 refund that I NEVER requested or received. I have been going back and for with them for 2 weeks and now being told I have to file a formal complaint and send it in by mail and wait for a response by mail. They have stolen my money and not taking the steps to correct it. DON'T FILE CHECK THEIR INSTAGRAM NOTHING BUT ISSUES THIS YEAR

In the last 3 years this place has went down hill last year they completely messed up my taxes and way more other people in my area the calling service sucks and completely don't know what they doing and getting your taxes done yeah I will never Recommend H&R again and I'm walking away after 12years

Denver HR Block did my 2020 taxes wrong. IRS send me a letter. I called main office in KC they send me to Denver office. I send Denver 1040 & copy of IRS letter with new address & told them I had surgery couldn't walkI requested the $329-they charge me for the service. Didn't hear, I complained to BBB. HRBlock said they tried called me since I didn't answer they close the case. They could have send a letter to me. Today I spend over 3 hrs trying to talk to HRBLOCK Excalating section ( Ms.Cox) as she called me. No resultsI was transfer 4 times, given bad phone numbers to call. This is a bad faith company. I wa t my service fee back. They advertised they do if they screw up, which they did.

H&R Block collected my $10 for a backup copy of the 2022 Business & Professional Tax Software on12/8/2022. I have purchased H&R Block software back up copies every year since they began online download for redundancy in case of hardware failure. They never sent me the CD. I called many times and was given promises that the CD would be sent out. On 7/15/2023 I finally went to the BBB of Greater Kansas City. The BBB was unable to get a resolution to the problem. H&R Block offered a refund check but first required that I provide them with my social security number and date of birth. H&R Block does not need my personal information to cut a check! H&R Block's Natalie Moreno, Associate Business Analyst, then began making the excuse that the CD distribution was handled by a third party and she could not get the CD. I asked for a copy to be made for their server where they keep copies of the software that they sell. She refused to do that. I had hit the proverbial brick wall at Block. The top level of the Peter Principle. I'm positive I am not the only one out here who had the very same problem. Block takes the money and makes it impossible to get the product contracted for or a refund. Beware!

H&R Block's office in Washington, Missouri made mistakes on my 2020 and 2021 Missouri state taxes. I am a retired teacher and my pension is tax exempt. Tax amendments were done by another preparer, which took forever, and I was not informed they were ready to pick up. Ended up paying penalties and fees on my 2020 and 2021 taxes. Was given a dispute escalation number and told to resolve the issue with the Washington office. Tried that, it was denied. Apparently your motto," We sign and stand behind every return we prepare" is questionable!!

The H&R Block building was added to the KC skyline in 2007 as part of the Power & Light District Entertainment District and played a fundamental role in the economic redevelopment of downtown Kansas City, Missouri. It is a beautiful example of modern architecture and also happens to be a great, easy to use tax-service.

I filed my taxes on March 28, 2023 online and hired the tax pro option and paid my balance of ******. Got a call that afternoon and ******** told me that she couldn't review my taxes until I paid another *****. I told her I paid the balance in full. She asked that I go back into my account and check again. I go back into my account and now it says I owe ******. I called ******** back and she said that was not right and she talked with her manager and it has been escalated to a tier 2. ******** called back and said she was able to review my taxes and I just needed to approve them. I was still unable to view my taxes unless I paid ****** again. I called her and told her I couldn't review my taxes without paying ******. ******** said that there's a glitch in there system and once again my case got escalated. This went on back and forth for 2 weeks. As the tax deadline approached I called a local office which is 45 minutes away and told them my issue. The supervisor there ******************* told me to come in and that he had other customers with issues with there online taxes. I took off work to go in on 4/16/23 and showed him my account with H&R and all the messages. **** made some phone calls but got resolved. I was also informed by **** that what part he could see was not done right. Then I asked him about my 2020 and 2021 taxes which were done online. He explained to me that I need to file amendments for both of those years as well because they were done wrong. After 1 1/2 hours and nothing done. I was asked to go home and he would call me once he had the issue fixed. **** called and said the issue was resolved. Once I logged back in to my account the same result that I owe ******. I also took off work on the 18th with no resolution. It's now August and after loosing work and hours on the phone and so many esculations and case # due to a glitch, they refunded my ******. I don't know if there's fees for not filing on time,etc. Customer for 35 yrs. Horrible service!!

I dropped off my taxes on April 14 and had an apt April 17th to finish them at 5PM. I waited in that office until 7:30 only for someone to tell me that they were not done and to come back that Friday at 5. I come back to the office, only to find that it was closed that day. I then spend the next two months calling the office, over and over, leaving messages with people, to finish filling my taxes. No one contacts me about this. I finally get someone who tells me they will finish my return and to come down on June 9th. The ONLY good part about this experience is Liana. She was the one who finally helped me after two months of calling. She also stayed late to help me finish filling. I will never work with H&R Block again, but Liana was not the reason why. She was a bright spot in a horrible experience and she is wasted on this company.

I am leaving a review of tax software they sell and this is the national office so it has to be left here. I have been buying the tax software , used to be tax cut, since around 1992. That is a lot of years. This year 2022 taxes, I again bought the downloadable product. I got through the Federal, but I had Federal and State, and the state would not work no matter what. Since it was getting close to the deadline I was really stressed as one could wait for help online for hours and still no help. I finally had to go to the state office to get manual forms. They are not put out anywhere anymore. That was what I had to do and I hand carried it in on the last day. So far nothing said, but who knows if they wont be calling later. The program didnt cost that much. I put me through a hell of a lot of stress over many days trying everything to get it to work, and hours waiting on the phone for nothing. So today long after the deadline I called to see if they would offer a refund for the program. The system did not recognize my phone even though they have it. I had to yell represerntative about 10 times to override a disconnect. The first rep just hung up. Didnt want to deal with it. The next reansferred, and transferred finally to refunds. I think the prices was only around $30. I talk to the guy in refunds and he says they cant do ANYTHING. No refund no discount on next year, no nothing. I ask why he says you used the federal part. I did. It was the state that was faulty. Since I used any part they offer you nothing if the rest doesnt work. Hours on hold....tough luck! So beware your product is not something they stand behind and if anything goes wrong TOUGHT LUCK ON YOU!
