My husband and I just got home from an Anniversary dinner at Jaspers. This was our first time there but definitely not the last. Casual with a touch of Old World ambience, very comfortable and cozy, despite the fact that its a fairly large restaurant.Warm homemade bread with butter as soon as you sit down. We each had a glass of Chianti.Appetizers: Calamari for my husband and Escargot for me. Both delicious.Entrée: Veal Piccata for my husband, Cioppino for me, again delicious. I asked for a substitute pasta for the Cioppino dish and it was no problem. We also had the tableside fresh mozzarella/Caprese salad, oh my goodness! You HAVE to get this!!Tiramisu and Limoncello cake for dessert. Wonderful. Our server, Michael, was very attentive, pleasant, and knowledgeable. One of the owners came to our table and was truly interested in our dining experience.A little pricey but well worth it. We will be regular patrons of Jaspers.

Took my mom here for her birthday dinner. The service was very subpar. We expected better for our first trip here, after hearing wonderful things from several people. We were there for over two hours, and we didn't order appetizers or dessert. A lot of sitting and waiting, with no butter or oil for the cibotto rolls, no water until our salads were served, and forgotten glasses of sparkling wine until the birthday cake was served. Definitely expected more from Jaspers.

When I want to show friends what delicious food is all about, I suggest Jasper's. We have used Jasper's for lunch and in the evening for special occasions. The wait staff is so friendly and helpful, especially Bella and Connor. The food is absolutely delicious and the desserts are divine. This is our "go to" for Italian food in the greater KC area.

Their lasagne is the worst I have ever had. It is only about an inch and a half high and so bland and mushy I almost gagged. Instead of bubbly mozzarella cheese on top it was served with bland sauce pored over it that looked as if it just came out of a jar. And there was very little meat. You had to look for it. They should just go to Sam's or Costco and pick up Stouffer's and say it's their own. Their lasagne is not nearly as good as Stouffer's.Ten years later we tried again. This time I ordered chicken lemonada and it was the worst I have ever had. I had to go ask for lemon wedges to squeeze on each bite and it was still terrible with a sour canned lemonless flavor. Olive Garden and Rio Brava’s are so much better! That was your last chance Jasper. It used to be so good at 75th and Wornall and was the go to special occasion restaurant. No more. ?

We came to Jasper’s a month before we got pregnant with our second baby. We had the loveliest time and ended up naming our baby Jasper. We didn’t know where the name came from, but eventually it dawned on us that we probably got the name from this restaurant. Our toddler loves his baby brother, so when we told him we got his name from a restaurant, he asked to go. We were hesitant to bring our two little kids to a nice restaurant, but our sweet 4 year old kept asking. We decided tonight, a Monday, was a great time to go.We had THE BEST time. The staff was incredible and the food was amazing as we remembered. Our server, Lewis (or Louis?) was so great with our kids. He arranged for our son’s spaghetti to come out early and was just so sweet and efficient.Per our 4 year old upon finishing our meal: “this was the best dinner ever!” We agree.

We were a group of four 6 o'clock on a Thursday night. We had drinks, appetizer and and an entree. I had a martini that was so so. My appetizer was lobster bisque. Very creamy. But also so-so. I had the liver and onions and my wife the Scamp alla Livornese. My liver and onions were terrific. The test is would you have it again and I would. The scampi was also good. Servings are a nice size. While table service started off slowly, our waiter eventually warmed up. First time I've been here in years. I didn't pay much attention to the prices, and dinner for the four of us was almost $400. A little pricey. I've been to a lot of Italian restaurants. This one is better than most.

My coworkers and I (12 total) went to dinner here and the total cost was approximately $700!! But it was worth every penny. Our server, Taylor, did an awesomly excellent job waiting on us. She was extremely sweet so ask to be seated in her area!! The food and desserts were all to die for, very very delicious. Next time I'm in Kansas City, and crave Italian, I would definitely return.

Went here for a family gathering meal. Food was delicious and reasonable, and service was amazing! I would say they specialize in white Italian sauces, so if you like that, this is your place. Also, shout out to Louis for his exceptional service! 10/10 would recommend and will be returning!
