I have worked at 4 veterinary offices over the course of 10 years. My most recent veterinary job was at a Veterinary Clinic that specializes in felines and is feline-only. I started at vet offices when I was 16, and stayed with it until I was 26. I have worked at clinics with 8-9 doctors, and I have worked at clinics with 2 doctors. At the last two vets I worked at I was a receptionist. When I called and was told that your new client waiting period was 6 months, I knew immediately how bad it must be for your reception staff. I called again about 6 months later and was told the same thing, new clients have to be scheduled 6 months out. This was not uncommon for any vet office during the worst of COVID, and for a time shortly thereafter. But for ya'll to still be scheduling 6 months out.. tells me your clinic is not being managed well. Your reception staff is taking the brunt of your mismanagement. As a receptionist I cannot tell you how many time I got screamed at, by new clients, for not being able to take them in THAT DAY or even THAT WEEK or THAT MONTH. That is truly unfortunate because your reception staff is immaculate when it comes to educating people on the reality of de-claw and why you don't offer that service ( or they were a couple years back, hopefully you haven't worn them down and sucked the life out of your reception staff.) As a receptionist who was working at her current dream job and dream vet, but had to leave due to lack of management ( me and the only other receptionist quit within 1 week of each other )I am posting this to hopefully grab the attention of the owner/ manager. Please better staff your clinic. Not having availability for new clients until 6 months out.. for over a full year now? Something isn't being done correctly. Stop taking new clients for however long you have to, but get your head above water. You were not taking any new clients for quite a while, I don't think it was smart to go back to taking new clients if you can't get them in until next year. You weren't ready.Hang in there reception staff, We see you, We appreciate you, We value you.

I have never been more satisfied with vet services. Not only is this staff completely competent, but they take care of the humans too! They've been communicative, patient, and considerate of my finances. And shout out to Dr Hodes for work EXTRA over-time and answering my calls when I'm panicking! Thank you so much to everyone at KC Cat Clinic. It is worth the wait to get in.

KC Cat Clinic is an incredible place! They are thoughtful, kind, attentive, and never once make you feel like an inconvenience.One of my cats has bounced from vet to vet trying to figure out what exactly his deal is. Dr. Gloor (and everyone there) actually LISTENED to me and helped me figure out ways to make his life more comfortable.The whole staff went above and beyond when I truly thought I was going to lose the little guy at one point. They were so patient with me (I was traveling at the time) AND my pet sitter! He's like a brand new cat and I couldn't be more grateful!They're wonderful folks! 10/10!

A great clinic that truly cares about your pet's well-being. I never feel like anything is being pushed on me by the vets. I appreciate that they will respond to emails occasionally over the weekend if there are urgent concerns. This is a clinic that goes above and beyond.

I feel like a lot of normal vets just tolerate cats... This place WORSHIPS your cat! I will never again take my kitty to a place that does not truly understand cats behavior, brain, and emotions, etc. I've never felt so safe leaving my little man for a procedure.

Extremely pleased by the kindness and service provided by KC Cat Clinic and its team! We brought our big, timid boy in for his first vet appointment and they were so sweet to him and made him feel safe. Will 100% be coming back and highly recommend to anyone with a cat!

New patient here for my 2 fur kids. i usually would go to a regular vet, but I recently had a tragic experience. They listened to my concerns and were really gentle with my cats. The visits took longer than expected, but I was pleased over all. I absolutely would recommend.

Simply put, you'd be doing yourself and your cats a disservice by not bringing them to KC Cat Clinic. They are worth every second of the drive and every penny spent. The staff is transparent, kind, supportive, and only wants the best for our little family. They've helped me in many pinches to get small doses of medication for diarrhea or nausea, samples of food for sensitive stomachs, and made emergency recommendations for the scary moments. As long as I am in Kansas City, I will not take my cats anywhere else. I tell EVERYONE about KC Cat Clinic and you should too.

TL;DR: If you have a cat in the KC metro, you should absolutely go to KC Cat Clinic. I drive from the Independence area to go to them because they are *chef's kiss* wonderful!I'll start off by saying that I'm *extra* when it comes to my kittos, so I am always looking to find them the best care. I also work in the industry (now a remote role out of state so I can't take them to that clinic) so I have certain standards that I set in my mind to be met. KC Cat Clinic has taken SUCH good care of my boys!1. The nurse, Stephen, has been an incredible part of my experience with the KC Cat Clinic team. I had a redirected aggression issue that turned our whole world upside down after they'd lived in harmony for 7 years. I put in so much work to get them back to "normal-ish" and it would have felt really isolating had it not been for Stephen's constant encouragement and support. He is truly a cat behavior expert!! I was probably the neediest human imaginable during that experience that spanned months, and he always wrote up such thoughtful responses to my questions and concerns that were full of grace and wildly intelligent behavioral advice. I credit him with my cats being able to finally come to a truce of sorts :) He's also SO sweet at their appointments and handles my boys so well. I wish more human nurses were like Stephen!2. Dr. Gloor has taken such good thorough care of my boys medically. Appointments with her are a real pleasure because she listens and takes time to really speak with me as a client and cat mama to make sure I understand everything that's needed. She also treats my babies like they're the coolest things since sliced bread while we're there and it's just the sweetest thing! I have never questioned her judgement calls, and I feel like she keeps up on changes in the industry which is important to me. She really has inspired a good amount of trust from me and my fam after several appointments (both wellness and sick) and a dental procedure.All in all, the whole team has been great from our first ever visit with Holly and Dr. Wasmer to now. The front desk team is exceptional and treats you like family too -- Beth and Emily <3 Just the sweetest humans!!Huge thanks to the whole team for being such wonderful people and taking such great care of my kittos!! Purrs and kitty biscuits from Dr. Zoidberg and Shinx <3
