Hate when business misrepresent the product they have when you call and ask and verify they have turkey wings. Employee says ‘yes we have plenty’. Only for me to drive 25mins and there is only one wing smgdh. Then get told the truck that was to come didn’t come ??? yea ok sure. Guess I will take my business somewhere else

Love this market. They sell my favorite Golden Boy White Cake. Today, I tried their Tederloin sandwich, and it's one of the best in the city!

Went to this store a day after St Patrick's day There was a sign out front that read "They're back...the Reuben sausages" Asked the guy behind the counter about it He said had everything in it that a Reuben has So I bought some. Got home decided to cook some of it.. Discovered it is nothing more than some ground up probably left over corned beef..that slowly pushed out each end of the sausage sleeve it was in, it was awful ended up throwing it away. I was a regular at this store but probably won't go there again.. dishonesty is a bad policy.

Not closed! The best place in Kansas City to buy food! Any food they have is great. They have lamb stew meat which is super hard to find. Love this place.

$13 for ONE medium WATERMELON! Ridiculous... the price was hard to find and we didn’t know till checking out. Entirety too expensive, will not get a watermelon here again.Edit: the cooled watermelon was not even that good; I’ve had better at over half the price. Maybe the non cooled ones are better? But the one we got was very average and we were goaded into getting the cooled one.

McGonigles is no more - this new store in it's place looks pretty good. However they do not have the pre-order roasts and seafood for the holidays that McGonigles had. Heard Mr. McGonigle retired and no one wanted to continue, so he sold to the new company. Going to miss them!

This is the second time since moving back to KC that I have gone to McGonigle's to pick up Duroc Pork Chops. These are so good. Brined overnight in apple juice, then a brown sugar, garlic, salt & pepper rub and smoked. Simply the best pork chops I've ever had. Thanks to McGonigle's for having the best meat selection in town.

The Kansas City landmark, sad time for all Kansas City into love to shop there. Mcgonigle's is closing the doors, there's a plan for a new market in its place but for me it'll never be the same. I will miss all the helpful & friendly faces.

Love the to-go BBQ menu. You can smell what's on the grill from Ward Pkwy!! Go inside to the cashier and place your order (the menu is at the register.) Slab of ribs is off the chart. So good that you don't need sauce (let alone extra sauce!) The onion stings are addictive and the waffle fries are the best. Enough food for the whole family.

Great little market with some unique items! The pie in the deli are is SO GOOD! Worth every penny! Delicious deli salads and several BBQ choices to take home made at store. We also purchased some local coffee and a few random items like sauces not found at other places. If in the area would stop again...very busy place so apparently a hot spot!

Finally made it here, and I'm glad I did. I went strictly for the BBQ. We enjoyed pulled pork & burnt end sandwiches (on buns), the onion strings (enough for three or four or more), cheesy corn, and the wahoo waffle fries. Super easy, go inside, order & pay at the register then go outside and share your ticket with the BBQ folk. I was pleasantly surprised at the inside of McGonigle's. It's a small grocer. If if not been so hungry, I'd have shopped the aisles. Our sandwiches were delicious, tender, & smoky. The onion strings were crispy and rich. The wahoo waffle fries were okay (we don't need to order them again). Cheesy corn was swilly, cheesy, & good. We'll be back!
