They found the issue and seemed very knowledgeable about what caused the issues and how. The guy who explained it to me did it in a way I could understand. We recommend this place!

Another dishonest auto repair shop! I brought my car in for a Missouri inspection with the "assumption" that my car would be pulled in, put on a rack, and inspected. Meaning 12- 30pt check of parts brakes, lights, steering, tires, etc. After I sat for 20min paid my $12 I find out from the employee after seeing on my inspection ticket "IDOD". That means the odometer was looked to verify my car is under 150000 miles and also that my car is under 10yrs old. Inspection done $12. Went to get my license renewed only to find out under 10yrs, less than 150k miles inspection receipt was not needed. (When I called to set an appointment for the inspection the employee confirmed the year and mileage on the car but didn't bother to explain the difference in the inspection for that car.). I go back to inquire about a refund and they go get the "manager" I guess. Didn't get his name but he's bald, the only one in the room. After explaining the situation his only point to make was he was right and I was wrong. I asked for a inspection and that's what I got. He's not responsible, no refund. My point is, granted it's only $12, but looking inside my car in the parking lot to read mileage and write it on a ticket does not constitute an inspection. In the hopes of finding a decent repair shop that could agree we didn't have to touch anything on your car, no time wasted, not satisfied, here is your funky little $12 back. No what I get back is a 10min lecture about how he is right, I am wrong, check with Missouri State Highway Patrol and I got what I asked for. Leaves me to wonder about the business ethics of another dishonest repair shop if he was willing to go through all of what he did. Just to hold on to a funky little $12. ZERO STARS!!!

Shady people, charged 4k to fix brakes without even pulling the car in the bay to see what was wrong. Didn't even admit that until I told them I had a device plugged in that tells me anytime they even so much as open the car door. They kept my car 2 days to fix it but yet when I get my car back it still sounds like s**** They won't even fix it and all 4 of my wheels have brake dust on it. Just looking to rip people off!

Horrible place...Biggest SCAM in the Northland Proceed with Caution. I was given a quote for $1430.00 for Ball Joints, $942.00 for a Left Control Arm (Seems High was told they were only sold in a set...lie), and alignment. Long story short...they quoted me $2372. Seemed higher than expected. I was told to leave a $500 deposit for the Control Arm that I was told cost $543 because I needed a working vehicle for my job and the front desk person came off as trustworthy. Then I did my research on the internet and found the price should have been closer to $500-$700. I also called one other shop, KC Complete and they quoted me a price of $1432, close to $1000 cheaper. So, I called North Oak Car Care and asked them to cancel the part order since I no longer wanted the shop to perform the work, within 30 minutes of making the deposit for the part. Thats when, I seen a Non-Customer Friendly Disrespectful side of the front desk person. I really wanted to tell him about himself, I have never been a push over, but I noticed what looked his children and wife in the background. I didn't want to be that type of guy in front of a man's family. He refused to issue any refund, and he wouldn't give me the information to return the part that I hadn't received or allow me to see the receipt. I later found out that a Control Arm set is not $543...So, makes sense why he wouldn't want me to see what price he was actually purchasing the part for...If you are not educated on working on cars...this place will hustle you...Most of the reputable shops in the area are disgraced with their business model of taking advantage of people who just need their vehicles repaired and just want a good shop to perform the work at a reasonable price.Service: Tires

I had an appt for 2 vehicle inspections. I brought my truck in first, which is in very good shape, for its age. They took a while to look at it and never took off a wheel to check my brakes. After they were done messing around, this office guy, with a gun on his side, said my truck didn't pass. He asked me to come look what they found. He was showing me my rear drivers side brake hose line and said it's slightly rubbing the emergency brake and has some white stuff on it. I couldn't see anything but a perfectly fine rubber brake line. Then he went over to the other rear brake hose and pointed out a 1/8" scratch (not a cut or gash) and said that was a safety issue. I was floored of what he was telling me. I said, his wall inspection list says "Brake inspection (one wheel must be removed)" say's nothing about scratches on a brake line are a safety hazard. Plus, they never once removed a wheel. Never opened the hood. He said, the book mentions brake lines hoses. I asked him to show me where it says a brake line hose can't have scratches? He said, "he doesn't have time". STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! They are a classic example of a shop trying to make money on parts that aren't broken or worn. I don't know how this place received 5 stars unless they were bought, or they erased the bad reviews. I went to a reputable place the next day and pointed out what the North Oak Car Care place was showing me....the reputable place said that is in NO WAY a safety hazard. They said my truck passed with no effort. I can't stand shady shops and especially a guy that's cocky wearing a gun on his side. :(I didn't tell the guy that I work on cars and have a lift at my house. Photos not showing a road hazard on those brake lines. The white stuff on the drivers hose is the lettering from the factory.

This place is absolutely a breath of fresh air. Honest, hardworking, affordable, and a company that values its customers. I would rate higher if I could. I can't speak highly enough of this shop. If I lived 3 states away I would probably drive here to get work done. Thank God I live 3 blocks awayService: Brakes

HORRIBLE SHOP, HORRIBLE PEOPLE... Monday my daughter (16) comes home from school, to change clothes for work. Goes out to the car, and it doesn't start. I hooked it up to my car really quick in the driveway. it's getting power but that is all... get AAA in route, the tow truck driver comes bangs on the starter and gets her going so I can save the tow and drive it to the shop. it's now 5pm. They called the next day around 11:30 to tell me NOTHING is wrong. diagnostics says everything is perfect. (it's a 2006 Malibu) so we know that's false . My daughter drives from the shop at 4 to work (QT two blocks away) calls me at 9pm to say her car won't start. They offered no apology, no refund, on their "we have a diagnostic guarantee"... DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY

BUYER BEWARE. The motor in one of my wiper blades recently went out so we took it to North Oak Car Care to be repaired. When I picked up my car I was just happy to have it back after a couple days and almost $1000. It soon rained and I noticed both my windshield wipers were in the wrong place. The drivers side wiper left a large arc at the bottom and stopped a good 6 inches short of where it had previously. The passenger side actually goes off the edge of the window. My drivers side door now has bumps in the interior too where the window comes out. It's as if something isn't snapped into place completely. When we went back to ask for the wipers to be adjusted, North Oak Car Care refused to fix the work they did poorly. They insisted that it was done correctly and there was nothing they could do. The man actually said "It's functioning normally."I've attached photos so you can be the judge.

Dustin and his crew are top notch mechanics. You can trust them in quality work and their fair prices. We’ve taken multiple vehicles to them, and they were the only shop to correctly assess and fix the issue with our Pacifica. Glad to have a trusted shop in our neighborhood!Services: Tires
